QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) LOL at Dave Doeren. Yeah, he's definitely wishing right now that he hadn't jumped on a new job so quickly. -

Bielema to Arkansas? Wow... Badger, your thoughts? I can't believe he left Wisconsin. -
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 3, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) Except he said "color" Exactly. He clearly said "...color of Lily's dress." This is a non-story.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) Yeah, when I posted that, it was 17-13 and the Saints were driving. Boom, INT. And I havent seen a worse game out of Brees either. Two picks to interior lineman? Sheesh Oh yeah, I was thinking the same thing. When the Falcons kept going 3-and-out in the 2nd half, I truly believed the Saints would win that game.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) The Falcons seem to always start games hot and then let the other team into the game. You can't let Brees get hot, he will catch up from a deficit and then some. Except for tonight apparently. This was probably the worst game I've ever seen out of Brees. Really couldn't have come at a worse time.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 01:18 PM) Brad Biggs @BradBiggs Lance Briggs asked if players use Viagra to get an edge as Brandon Marshall said: "There would be a lot of dangerous boners on the field." Haha, can't believe he went there... That's awesome.

A little late to the party, but Austin was a good choice. You had 2 seemingly great options, so you really couldn't go wrong. But if it were me, I'd have picked Austin too.

If Alabama makes it to the National Championship game like they should, I'd take them to cover. Look, I'm rooting for Notre Dame. I hate Alabama. But having watched both teams quite a bit this year, Bama is superior. And not that this actually means anything, but since the BCS started in '98, if you picked every SEC team who made it to the NC game to cover the spread, you'd have won every time. Betting on the SEC in a National Championship game = money. On that note, Notre Dame continues to find ways to win and everything seems to have gone their way this year, so it almost seems like destiny for them to win. -
This is flat out embarrassing. Not much else to say.

Gmail, Tennessee Rivals.com website, Tennessee 247Sports website, SoxTalk, Twitter. As you can see, I kind of like UT sports. And usually once I hop on Twitter, I end up on all sorts of different websites/links.

It just took me 2.5 hours to vote... At least I had a really nice older lady to talk with while waiting. I'm back in the office now and won't be able to get out of here until late so I can catch up on work. Election day should just be a national holiday.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 01:25 AM) That game was in New England. Yep, that was exactly the point the radio guys made.

Just got back home from Nashville. The Bears game today was so freaking awesome. And LP Field had to be 40% Bears fans. The Titans fans behind me were saying they'd never seen anything like it. Made me proud to be a Bears fan. Oh, and we set a LP Field record for points scored... The Titans post-game show was calling this the worst loss in Titans history (granted, that only consists of 15 seasons).
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 05:36 PM) If my Facebook feed is any indication, there are going to be a s***load of Bears fans in Nashville this weekend. Excellent. I really like hearing that. Also, Conte's fine is absurd. It was a questionable call to begin with.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 09:01 AM) If they fire him, they'll owe him 10 million dollars. After the debacle with Hewitt's "lifetime" contract, the GT Athletic Department has no prayer of affording that much money. Johnson will get one more year, and if it goes poorly maybe he'll walk away (especially with the AD leaving, like you said). Thankfully they have significantly better QBs waiting in the wings than the current one who's been under center the last two years. Wow, I did not know that. That's a hell of a buyout. Then yes, I imagine he will get one more year. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 10:46 PM) GT's defense is brutal, and it's possible they'll be starting a freshman at QB in the game. I expect a close game. Do you think Johnson should be fired? That seems to be the consensus among every GT fan I hear on the local sports talk shows. Also, now that the AD left to take the job at Clemson, I think it's much more likely that the new AD will want to bring in "his guy." -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/maryland-lose...9lYKqufl5CW1LYF Maryland has lost 4 QBs for the season. They are starting a LB or TE at QB this week. They are +7.5 against GT. That seems like the easiest money in the history of the world. Saying that, they'll likely cover, possibly even win. But wow, to be without any QBs, by definition. Yikes. Yeah, Edsall has had some horrible luck. I can't even imagine playing a LB at QB. Like, you pretty much just run the ball every play right? And the occasion screen or something where he doesn't have to throw downfield. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) Guy plays for BT team. Guy wants to leave BT team. Guy shouldn't be able to freely go to another BT team to compete against team that had him. This isn't free agency. Not sure what's so tough about this one. I agree completely. Seems simple enough to me. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Holy hell are the Cardinals bad. Tackle somebody. And that decision to punt on 4th down from the 37 was Ron Rivera-esque. I was so baffled by that decision. Jay Feely has a long of 61 yards this year and they punt!?

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) Fight Club, basketball style. Haha, I know, right? It's an interesting thing. I had never heard of something like this, but the NCAA allows D1 teams to scrimmage each other in place of playing an exhibition game. The difference is they don't allow the scrimmage to officially be reported on. Coaches like it better because they get to play legit competition rather than some DIII school or whoever. I think it's a great idea. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) It's not surprising, GT is going to suck again in basketball this year until they start benching their veterans for their more talented young player. With that said, UT has 3 very good players in Golden, Stokes and Maymon. I figured I'd draw you out with that mention of Georgia Tech and was hoping to get your opinion on the GT team this year. I guess you pretty much answered that. I know they were bad last year, but the sports talk shows in Atlanta seem to be pumping them up. I guess that's just because it's a new year and they're trying to get the fans fired up. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 07:57 AM) KC gave Jamaal Charles 5 carries yesterday. Awesome job. That's really horrible coaching. Also, I traded Stafford + BJGE for Brees 2 weeks ago. I played the guy I traded with this week, and OF COURSE, Stafford has his best game of the year while Brees was very average. I lost.
