  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 11:07 AM) What if it was a homeless man that did it and not some dumbass drunk college kid. What's with all the "what if's" people are throwing out there? We can do this all day, but I still think a 2 year sentence for that guy is over the top. Anyway, back to actual college football talk... I think this is a pretty cool chart. Shows 120 teams and their offensive turnover per play ratio. I'd like to see this broken down defensively too. http://www.coachingsearch.com/home/1358-ch...-per-play-.html
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) What if he teabagged a random woman, would you think differently? In the end, there is no difference, it's still dropping your genitals on an unsuspecting & unwilling person, basically sexual assault. It wasn't even a "prank" on a person he didn't know, it was a complete stranger. Now the idiot's poor son has to be away from his father for almost a year. Yeah, I probably would. But it wasn't a woman. It was a guy. And as weird as it is to teabag a complete stranger, I still don't know if he deserves jail time. Anyway, just a lesson for everyone else out there. Don't be stupid.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 02:52 PM) The prosecution had leverage over him in being threatened to having to register as a sex offender. That's messed up. I just don't see the point in putting him in jail for drunkenly teabagging a dude.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 12:35 PM) That Alabama fan that teabagged the passed out LSU fan after the BCS Champ. game? Two years in prison. You know, I feel bad for the teabagger. I get that what he did was wrong, but damn, 2 years in prison!? That's rough.
  5. Wow. I just won my game b/c of the bulls*** 2 pt conversion to Bryant. This is awesome. My buddy who I beat is so pissed right now.
  6. Tough crowd tonight. Forte is worthless? Defense is awful? C'mon guys. This has been a really good game for us.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 08:58 AM) I am 1-3 in fantasy. 3 teams have had their highest point total against me as I am still the highest scoring team in the league and it doesnt matter. f*** That is exactly why I have such a love-hate relationship with fantasy. I've won leagues with complete luck and I've lost championships even though on paper my team is stacked b/c some dude picked up Jamaal Charles in Week 15 and he decided to rush for 250 yards and 3 TDs. That's why I refuse to enter a league that's more than $50/person. I still have fun doing it but I'm not completely stressed out about getting screwed over and losing hundreds of dollars. Side note: I need Dez Bryant to get 6 points to win my more important league. I have little confidence that he'll do it, though. He has been garbage this year.
  8. What an epic choke. I'm stunned. This was the worst sports weekend I've had in a long time. The Sox continued to fall apart, Tennessee lost, both fantasy football teams lost, and America lost.
  9. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 09:18 PM) I was rooting for Tennesse bigtime today, I hate UGa ALMOST as much as I hate Clemson...actually, sometimes it seems like I hate both of them equally. Game experience in Athens is absolutely awful for opposing team's fans. Redneck, trashy abysmal failure of an experience. I loved my trip up to Knoxville, fantastic college town and experience. I was disappointed in Tennessee's lack of pressure on Murray. Dude will crumble like the Berlin Wall when pressured, but UT didn't get enough on him. Gameday in Columbia SC next week, and we need desperately to shut these asshat Georgia fans up. oh danman, here, I'll change it...in honor of the big game this week... Please do. Yeah, you're spot on about Murray. He's mentally fragile in big games and under pressure. It's no surprise that his pick-6 and his fumble came when we actually got pressure on him. Needed more of that.
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) Oh good, s***ty Missouri tackling is now a Capn gif. Guess who is now on my s*** list. And I came on here to say Georgia hasn't impressed me much and I think South Carolina wins the division. Now I'm hoping Georgia wins. I must say, I miss the .gif from last year - Ingram's TD + the UGA mascot's reaction = priceless I'm still pulling for SC if UT can't do it (of course, with their only loss being to Tennessee). I can't stand UGA or Florida.
  11. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 05:33 PM) Down 7... UT's last 3 possessions: Bray INT, Bray Fumble, Bray INT...Tennessee loses by 7. I completely disagree with the announcers; Bray's game was as ugly as his stats. He was missing receivers all day (although there were a few ugly drops that weren't his fault). I'm really disappointed right now. We had it there for the taking and just couldn't execute. I don't know what Bray was thinking on those last drives. Just trying to force it for no reason. 2 turnovers in Georgia territory while going for the win. Can't do that. Definitely promising aspects of that game, but man, the upset would have been awesome.
  12. Love that Bubba did it again this morning (and Poulter too this time). This is how the Ryder Cup should be...
  13. I'm shocked at how bad Illinois looks. I don't think their talent level is any less than Penn St. I just think they were completely out-coached. That doesn't bode well for Beckman.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) Yeah, some cities are great for visiting, but not great for living in. Memphis being a prime example. Same with New Orleans. I don't agree at all. It has it's faults, but so does every city. I really love Memphis. There are a lot of great things about it. Then again, I grew up in Memphis so maybe I'm biased b/c of the "home" feeling it provides.
  15. Really hate that I can't watch this today. My buddy is there and said Bubba's tee shot was wild when he pumped up the crowd and everyone was going crazy as he hit it. Bubba is the man.
  16. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 01:08 PM) How could you not go with Flacco? I ended up going with Flacco. Very pleased. Even if Stafford tears it up, it made tonight's game even more enjoyable to watch and I'll take 23 pts from the QB spot any day.
  17. My QB decision just became a lot more difficult with the news that Stafford practiced some today. I have Flacco (playing tonight) so I was just going to start him with the uncertainty around Stafford. Now, I'm not so sure. But I need to decide by tonight.
  18. Atlanta at #16? Sweet, but I wouldn't have guessed that. I thought we'd be lower.
  19. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 11:34 PM) What do yous' guys think about buying low on Chris Johnson right now? I'd love to buy him low right now, but that's the problem. His value is so low that I don't think Johnson owners would even want to move him. They wouldn't get anything of value in return, so why not just keep him on the bench and hope he turns it around. If I had Chris Johnson, I'd only trade him for a Steven Ridley-type. But, if I was offered like Peyton Hillis or someone like that, I'd just say heck no.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:33 AM) Reporting that the Thursday game will have regular refs now. Now we can continue to rip the league when bad calls are made because they didn't give the refs adequate time to "warm up" or something Actually, this is a concern of mine. We always have exhibition games and scrimmages before the season so we, as a ref crew, can work on our mechanics and shake off the rust. Just like the players need that time to get back in game-mode, refs do too. It's going to be tough for the ref crew to jump in cold-turkey tonight when they haven't been working any games. I expect we see a few more missed calls than usual. But, they'll also huddle up on important/close plays and make sure they get the correct call.
  21. Finally. The refs are back... Now we get to go back to complaining about the regular refs, but I'll feel better about doing it.
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) Nice. I'm headed to knoxville November 9th. I'm pretty excited. Excellent. I hope it lives up to expectations. The game itself should be a good one based on what I've seen from both teams. And feel free to PM me when we get closer to the game if you have any questions about Knoxville/Gameday.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 04:22 PM) Holy crap. We're they just terrible or did they get injured? Well, the Punter is okay. He's been solid, but still not what I would have expected out of someone so highly ranked. The Kicker dealt with injuries his first 2 years, but he's finally healthy this year and just sucks. Our other scholarship kicker broke his leg, so now we're using a walk-on.
  24. Beanie Wells to IR. Can't come back til Nov. 25. Glad I picked up Ryan Williams. Should be the only real option in Arizona's backfield.
