  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) Does anyone doubt that Rudy will be #1? Nope... I had Rudy #1.
  2. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 27, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) Hunter was a key role player on our team and he knew his role, that being said we used to always hear how smart he was. Why blast him for saying what everyone here is saying, should everybody on sox talk stfu? Quite honestly, Hillenmeyer is right. Angelo is a bad GM and everyone knows it.
  3. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 05:20 AM) Worley is a talent, just ask Clowney...Worley's team ran over Southside last year with Clowney there. But, I do have to kind of question why Dooley pulls the redshirt on week 8 of the season. Sometimes it can't be helped, though. We both know that Simms is....in no way his father or even his brother. He looked rough. Solid points on all accounts. I would have really questioned pulling the redshirt if Worley wasn't starting. But since he is, I get why he did it. Unfortunately, our RB fumbled on Worley's 1st series against Alabama. And then we had the ball on the 1 yard line on his 2nd series so he never got a chance to throw it. I sure hope you're right about Worley, but we just don't have a great idea of what he can do because he wasn't getting any good reps in practice until Bray got hurt. However, he has supposedly shown a lot more in the last couple weeks. With freshman, you just never know. Bray came in against yall last year and played really well. I hope Worley can do something similar. And though he doesn't have close to the physical talents as Bray, he has always been said to be very accurate.
  4. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 06:40 AM) Boy, Matt Simms....he needs some monumental improvement in a hurry. I know this will sound weird and homerish, but I'm kinda happy to see the offense this week, without Lattimore in there to scheme against. He had really struggled in the last 3-4 games, because it was easy to scheme against a QB with limited exposure to throwing the ball. That's sort of the same thing I said about us losing Justin Hunter. I thought it would be great for Bray since he wouldn't just be able to throw it up to Hunter every play and expect it to be caught. He'd have to play smarter and involve the other guys... then I realized quickly that I'd give just about anything to have Hunter back. Regardless, I get your point. It could help the offense in the long-run without having Lattimore be the guy on just about every play. And frankly, it's a shame that the QB play has been so inconsistent for yall b/c Alshon Jeffrey is unbelievable. Can't imagine what he'd do with a stud QB throwing to him. And looks like Simms has been benched for a freshman. Uh, we'll see how that goes, but I'm not expecting great things.
  5. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) Their offense is a load to deal with, Tajh Boyd is deadly accurate. Good thing Lane Kiffin told him he couldn't fit in a pro-style offense even though he had been committed to Tennessee. Looks like he'd fit in just about any style offense with the way he's playing right now. Not a huge deal b/c I like Tyler Bray, but it would be nice to have both players (especially now with the awful Matt Simms playing QB). I'm excited about our game next week. With Lattimore out, I feel like we have a chance. Though, unless Matt Simms starts playing better, we won't be able to put up any points.
  6. My roommate (die hard Braves fan) is pissed. And having adopted the Braves as my 2nd team (since I live in Atlanta and go to a bunch of games), I can't say I like it either. Then again, as someone previously mentioned, they hit about as bad as a team possibly could last year so anything should be an upgrade.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 02:00 PM) Did you tell that dude that he's terrible at his job, then?
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 18, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) Has the Occupy Herbstreit movement been posted yet? Because it's awesome: http://occupyherbstreit.tumblr.com/ Pure gold.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) Sounds alot like Ohio HS football. They captured it nicely in the 2001 documentary called "Go Tigers" about Massilon football. Ohio HS football really is excellent. I believe the state of Ohio has more high school football players (or maybe it's HS football teams) than any other state in the country, which is surprising since states like Texas/California are so much bigger.
  10. This is the one that pisses me off the most, though they're all cheap shots of varying degrees.
  11. The juke Trent Richardson puts on at the 15-second mark of this run is ridiculous. He is a beast.
  12. Didn't Joe Girardi get hired with no prior experience? He's turned out pretty well.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) What a joke. Leave one conference for the Big East, then leave them within a year. Eh, it's a cutthroat world in college football, especially right now with conference re-alignment. The Big East is falling by the wayside, so the smart decision for TCU is to join the Big 12 (or whatever it's being called). It may not be right for them to go back on their commitment, but it's hard to blame them with how much has changed in the college sports landscape since they originally agreed to join the Big East.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) "I disagree". Boom!
  15. QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 2, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) I honestly forgot he was even on the team. Then again, I havent looked at a complete boxscore since August... Same here
  16. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 2, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) Does Devin Hester belong in the Hall of Fame? Yes
  17. The Bears may be the worst team at managing timeouts.
  18. Former Bear sighting: Daniel Manning just negated a Texans a TD (on a blocked FG) as time expired b/c he blocked the kicker in the back well behind the play. He was never the smartest player.
  19. Hester with the new NFL record! He is so damn good!
  20. Wow, the running game is looking great today. Positive sign.
  21. Well, Martz sure wanted to prove a point there. Running game looked great, but gotta finish drives with TD's
  22. South Carolina's Melvin Ingram is my favorite non-Tennessee player. He's just fun to watch. Today's stats for the defensive lineman: 9 tackles, 5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 1 INT... And to think he doesn't even get the most pub on that defense (see: Jadeveon Clowney).
