  1. QUOTE (Stocking @ Jun 4, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) anyone pick up an Evo today? Just ordered one online b/c they were sold out everywhere here. I'm supposed to get it in 2-4 business days. Can't wait to get it! I'll report back on what I think...
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:46 AM) I have and let me tell you, it's Incred awesome. Check out the specs of the Sprint EVO if you're in the market for a new phone. It'll be the best phone on the market when it becomes available on 06/04. I can't wait for the Evo to come out. I've been eligible for an upgrade for 2 months now but have been waiting for June 4. The phone looks so awesome.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2010 -> 06:33 PM) You lost me when you said Eddy Curry works out...

How did you guys know what Jack's tattoo meant? I got them all right but that one. Was that brought up in the show?
  5. I saw Bryce Brentz play against UT last week. Didn't do a whole lot at the plate (BB, HBP), but put a decent bat on the ball. He jacked one to the warning track that we all thought was out - initial reaction was like "well, i guess that's why he's a 1st rounder... oh. nevermind". Anyway, he made a poor play in RF where he and the 2B didn't communicate well and let a blooper drop in - so we heckled him for that of course. Wish I could say he looked unbelievable or something, but he was just pretty average. I will say this: he had the presence of a big time player; not sure how to explain it, but you knew the guy was good. Also, he did pitch the 9th inning and looked good. Actually, the player I was most impressed with for MTSU was 2B Justin Miller. The dude has a solid build and absolutely smoked a HR. I mean, as soon as it hit the bat you knew it was gone. Also impressive was Justin Guidry - great build; looks like Jordan Danks out there. Solid defense and hit 2 HR's but only has 7 on the year. Batting .392 though, which is really impressive.
  6. I feel like every guy should have at least a couple great meals they cook. If you can make a few that will be sure to please, that's all you need.
  7. That's an awesome story. Thanks for posting it.
  8. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ May 8, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) I know absolutely nothing about clothing so my question might be obvious to many. What are good websites to buy nice looking polo shirts? I'm not looking to spend $40 for one, somewhere closer to $25 for one. Well, my polos usually come from Ralph Loren Polo and Brooks Brothers. But, if you're looking to spend ~$30, I really like Gap's polos. It's not a place I usually shop, but my sister bought me 2 last summer and I like them a lot. They're very classic looking. J Crew also has some relatively inexpensive polos that look good (~$30). Those would be my two suggestions. http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=5...;scid=717991002 http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/MensBrowse...~~~~~/82460.jsp
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2010 -> 11:01 AM) Will Ferrell took the mound for the Round Rock express in Texas yesterday. He was ejected after 1 pitch. Gotta love Ferrell... That would have been an awesome surprise if you were at that game.

QUOTE (juddling @ May 5, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) When the bomb was counting down at three minutes, my first thought was couldn't they put it in a torpedo tube and flood the tube carrying the bomb out to sea???? I thought the same thing too... Any sensible human would have done that, haha.
  11. We sure do love trading with the Royals...

QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 4, 2010 -> 09:28 PM) Still her husband is determined to die with her and her daughter doesn't pop into her head? You'd think she'd at least mention it to Jin before the water engulfed them both. Who knows perhaps she invokes the name of her daughter and her husband makes the sensible decision to swim for his life. That's what I thought was going to happen... Apparently not.
  13. You know what's sad? That no one in the national media is paying much attention to this Middle Tennessee/Nashville flooding. Billions of dollars of damage have occurred to the city of Nashville and tens of thousands are homeless. But no, let's not act like this is a big deal.
  14. QUOTE (Felix @ May 4, 2010 -> 06:27 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Ap6d...paribulls050410 I don't think we'll hire Cal, but I don't even want it mentioned... I hate Calipari more than any other coach in all of sports (never liked him in the 1st place, but I have a personal issue with him after meeting him in Memphis that made my hatred grow).
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2010 -> 03:18 AM) Brandon Short and Andy Garcia have 21 RBI's each now on the young season. N. Griffith was pretty shaky, Remenowsky continues to pitch well (although I'll never forget the time someone called the post-game last year and wanted him promoted immediately from A ball like he was Scott Radinsky, Boone Logan or Dwight Gooden). Gilmore, Lewis and J. Greene continue to hit well into the mid 300's. Trayce Thompson with .963 OPS, that's wonderful for a player one year removed from HS playing in the SAL... http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=572204 Was that you, NorthSide?
  16. Morgado has been terrible for us this year, though our whole pitching staff sucks so maybe he's not getting the best instruction. Tennessee's coaching is absolutely miserable, but still, he has too much talent to be pitching this poorly.
  17. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 1, 2010 -> 02:14 PM) Great play by Dash outfielder Justin Greene. Watch it. http://bit.ly/d3AMK5 Saw this earlier on the FutureSox twitter (which by the way is great. So, everyone, if you don't follow it... you should)... Nasty.
  18. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 12:27 AM) If it has been in the wood for a couple of months it will be sleepy. Either you're going to wait a few more weeks for bottle conditioning or your buddy is going to force carbonate at bottling — which I doubt he'll do if he's taken all that time with extended fermentation in oak. Should be quite nice when it's finaly ready to go. I was wrong - it was only in the oak for 3 weeks... My co-worker tried it the other day and said it's awesome.
  19. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 11:03 PM) That beer is worth drinking for the label alone! And the wax seal is a nice touch as well. Love me some Three Floyds, so I bet that Dark Lord is outstanding. Now the Sami. . . one of the best ever, so hard to go wrong. Unless you try to drink more than one in a single session, that is. So what did y'all brew? Not sure how I just saw this post. Sorry for not answering... But, I have no idea what we brewed. Two different beers - one incredibly dark. Added chocolate chips, espresso, and who knows what else to that one. The other one I don't really remember what it was. But, the darker one I'll get to try soon I believe. After letting it age in oak for two months, the guy I brewed with was actually bottling the stuff tonight. He said he'd bring me one to try.
  20. QUOTE (The Beast @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 04:53 PM) Where do you all go to school and what are you majoring in? University of Tennessee... Logistics (Supply Chain Management)
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 08:24 PM) Ton of photos from today's Barons/Smokies double-header. Will annotate tomorrow. I ended up not being able to make it out there today. Wish this series had been a different weekend. Wanted to go last night, but the rain killed those plans. And today just wasn't good timing for me. Nice photos, btw. It was a great day for baseball.
  22. Jonathan Crompton in the 5th round! Man, a year ago at this time I would have never imagined he'd be drafted. He had maybe the worst season of any QB in Tennessee history his Junior year.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) Even after signing Peppers, they let Brown and O-Gun go and had Adams die. That's 3 linemen out, 1 in, 2 if you count moving Adams. I understand that... which is why cutting Brown in the 1st place was dumb. Like I said, I understand why they took a DE and I like Wootton. But the Bears shouldn't have had to take a DE b/c they never should have cut Brown.
