  1. I eat honey nut cheerios 2-3 times/week for breakfast. I also love golden grahams and cinnamon toast crunch.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) They'll have the podcast up tonight, and I'm not lying. This kid is so composed and natural... I can't wait for the national media to get ahold of him truly. He's a superstar on and off the field. Absolutely. He has been that way since college. He's just so personable and gives a great interview. I'm sure it's only a matter of time (as in, by the end of the year at the latest) before the national media figures out what kind of presence he is. He already gets mad props from true baseball fans of other teams - at least from buddies of mine that are Braves fans, Cardinals fans, etc. They all love him.
  3. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) I've found listening to music, for me, gets me through things. Like I'll listen to music for hours upon hours. Agreed... I've found this definitely helps me (or makes me more sad if the wrong song comes on, lol).

    LOST!!!!

I love Desmond. He has been my favorite character for quite some time, and it's no surprise tonight's episode was awesome.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 01:16 PM) From a prospect perspective, that Barons team looks really really, well "Baron". Morel is one of the lone bright spots when it comes to major league potential. Great job on these pieces too Ozzie. They have been very informative. Wow, the Barons really are "barren." Oh well, I'm definitely excited to see how Morel does this year. But jeez, the infield is so weak... Regardless, I'm going to catch a game or two (baring an unforeseen circumstance) when the Barons come to Knoxville in late April, so hopefully I'll have some good stuff to report.
  6. I still can't help but think of a penis every time I see the Dash's logo... Can we go back to the Warthogs, please? hah Good stuff, btw. I'm definitely excited about the pitching staff on this team and Phegley.
  7. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) Personally, I'd put them in the next tier below the list I posted with teams like Villanova, Vanderbilt, Syracuse (assuming Johnson goes) and Tennessee. They could be quite good, but a lot depends on one of Richmond, Paul and Richardson producing relatively consistently since their frontcourt can be quite unpredictable. I think that's pretty fair. Losing Chism and Prince will be hurt a bit, but bringing in Tobias Harris (and who knows, maybe Josh Selby) should offset that talent-wise. Plus, now that Brian Williams finally realized he's 6'11'' and all of a sudden became a leader too (how did that happen??), he should a nice presence down low for us. I think one of our biggest question marks is former McDonald's All-American Scotty Hopson. He can be awesome, but disappeared in too many games last year (especially in the tournament).
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 12:48 PM) Holy s***! Were your seats IN the dugout? You were like 2 feet away from Beckham when he was on deck....wow. Haha, I was thinking the same thing... Great pics! Thanks for sharing.
  9. I always loved the Easter bunny, but I know a few people who thought he was scary. My cousin had to be the Easter Bunny for some Easter event at the country club she works at, but when she was little, she was scared of the Easter bunny. I thought that was ironic.
  10. Good stuff. I could watch '05 World Series celebration videos all day long. Still puts a smile on my face. As for where I was... My living room, standing in front of the couch next to my dad (we didn't sit down the last couple innings), and when that last out was made... We just started going crazy. It's a moment with my dad I'll always cherish.
  11. I still enjoy watching old Disney movies like Jungle Book, Lion King, Little Mermaid, etc. I have no shame in admitting that. My last girlfriend used to be all about watching movies like that, and I was completely cool with it 'cause it gave me a reason to watch them too.
  12. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Apr 2, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) Well this is my yearly happy time for no reason other than the weather. I just feel happy. I am smiling...I like to smile....smiling is my favorite... I know exactly how you feel. It was so hard being at work Wednesday when the temperature got over 80 here (1st time of the year), but as soon as I got home, I just sat outside and drank beer with my buddies all night.
  13. I had the day off. Thank you, GE... I spent it driving home for Easter, though, and then haven't done anything all night. It has been nice to relax.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 1, 2010 -> 12:01 AM) And he's darn-near getting reassigned to WSI. Oh, hell no. I'll retire before I put up with that...
  15. Enjoyed a nice Dark Lord Imperial Stout a couple weekends ago, as well as a Samiclaus, at a co-workers house. We brewed beer all day and drank a bunch of his homemade stuff, but I enjoyed those two in particular.
  16. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 08:44 PM) SoxTalking is a young man's game. Better retire and go out on a high note while you still can. Actually, after SoxTalk gave me that big contract to keep posting here, I just got lazy.
  17. I forgot all about the star ratings... I used to be a 5-star. Now I'm a 4. Guess I've been sucking it up recently.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 02:00 AM) http://www.sporcle.com/games/rickem78/nbatop5 Top 5 Lottery picks since 2000. 49/50. But you know what? I was pissed b/c I could picture the guy I forgot (he's from last year's draft). I just couldn't think of his name for the life of me. Had 2:30 left with one name to go and couldn't think of it -
  19. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 27, 2010 -> 07:36 PM) Looks like Calipari still has no final 4's. I love it. There's no coach I hate more than John Calipari. At least there's always next year for Kentucky... oh wait, all of their main contributors will be in the NBA. Guess they'll be relying on freshman talent again.
  20. Well, that was fun. Do people still think UT was deserving of a 6-seed? Gottlieb looks like a complete dumbass now (i mean, he always has been one but even moreso) after his whole "Tennessee is worse than a 6-seed and will lose in the 1st round" comments.
  21. CBS had some awful coverage here of the games tonight. We got Kentucky-Cornell for the whole game, even when the much better Xavier-KSU game was so close. Once KY had it wrapped up, they should have switched to the Kansas St game, but no. We had to wait until the teams were done shaking hands to get the other game. Yes, I know I could have watched on my computer. But a bunch of buddies were gathered to watch the games, so we weren't all going to crowd around a computer.
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 26, 2010 -> 12:48 AM) I would say be cautious more than be careful. Get a good feel of the situation. It is entirely possible that she does like the guy as a friend, even if he is a scumbag. Yeah, that's what I mean... And I'm sure his situation is nothing to worry about. I just shared my experience (even if it is extreme) to show that weird stuff can happen even if you think a relationship is great. I think in most cases if a girl is that "into" you, then she really likes you.
  23. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) It is what it is. It's caused me enough stress already and I'm still not sure why. I'm really not concerned with her cheating or anything. She's in absolute love with me, were together everyday, and in constant contact when were not. I guess what I want out of this is for her to genuinely hate this guy, because he is a not so good person, disrespected her in the past, and still has bad intentions now. Yes, I'm gonna be pissed if she defends him in any way and will definitely be concerned if she does. Now those last sentences did sound a little controlling. Oh well, I'm gonna roll with it, it bothers me that much for some reason. Be careful thinking this. I was under this same thought for awhile and then my ex broke up with me out of nowhere one day. We were together every day and always in contact when we weren't. I mean, she spent the night at my apartment roughly 6 out of 7 nights of the week for months. At one point, she had stayed with me 14 straight nights (sidenote: this was dumb and I wouldn't do that again). And then boom! Breaks up with me one night saying her heart wasn't in the relationship, which confused the hell out of me b/c she was the one always wanting to be together. Said she was missing out on relationships with her friends, etc. I still think it was b/c of another guy (though she never started dating anyone for a few months after that). But one night about a month after we broke up, I was with her and she was texting a bunch. I was watching TV and happened to look at her phone b/c she looked like she was angling it away from me (e.g. so i couldn't see it), but I could and right before she sent a text, I read it. It said "she could never be what i could have been" and it was to one of her really good guy friends (who also happened to like her). So basically, I'm pretty sure she tried to get with this guy but he had a different girl at that point. b**** was still hooking up with me and leading me on saying things like "i feel right when i'm with you" and "i've been thinking a lot about getting back together." Meanwhile, it seems as if I wasn't the only guy on her radar.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) That is a great sig! Agreed. Can't wait for tonight. I'm hoping this will be an episode that makes me remember why Lost was my favorite show on TV for awhile.
  25. Good stuff, Dan. Really interested in seeing how Morel does in AA this year.
