QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 21, 2009 -> 10:09 PM) Refs from the Arkansas/Florida game suspended by the SEC. Too bad they were allowed to gift Florida a win before being suspended. As they should be. They have now been a part of 2 poorly called games (LSU-Georgia as well the other week with the 2 unsportsmanlike penalties that shouldn't have been called). I was very glad to hear this b/c the rumor around Tennessee was that we were getting that crew for the Alabama game this weekend, and we all thought we were f***ed. -
This is like a week old, so it has probably been posted somewhere, but if not... http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/10/1...?iref=hpmostpop This story is unbelievable. How the baby didn't die, I have no idea. I've watched the video a couple times and it just seems so impossible for the baby to have survived. If there are such things are miracles, this is one.

Rose's situation is scaring me. It sounds like he's gonna play, but I guess you never know until he actually does.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 09:52 AM) If I had started Ryan instead of Rivers, I would have won this week. That's just bad luck... I still think it was a better bet playing Rivers than Ryan heading into the weekend.

QUOTE (NIUSox @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 09:56 PM) Today, for the first time ever, my mom text me. It was weird. Uh oh, soon she'll be "friending" you on facebook.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 02:19 PM) Whoops! Weird, I was just replying to this post myself... Just gonna say that BigSqwert must be regretting that one big time.

Christmas is awesome. And not b/c of presents. It's really the time of year when I'm happiest. Family, friends, christmas trees, christmas lights, decorations, great food, christmas music, and a ton of other stuff.

Rivers... mainly b/c they have no running game and pass, pass, pass.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 05:47 PM) Arkansas kicker blows. Way to probably lose your team the game. Yeah, he's gotta make those. But, it wouldn't have mattered if Mallet hadn't already missed 2 open WR's in the endzone today. Oh, and if the refs treated Florida the same as any other team. Not saying they wouldn't have gotten the TD last drive, but it would have made it a lot harder for them to. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) Bad pass interference call and then easily one of the worst personal foul calls ever. They basically rewarded the Florida player for trying to get a cheap shot and then getting blown up. Pathetic. Exactly! It was such bulls***. The Florida o-lineman tries to hit the arkansas guy 20 yards away and gets leveled himself instead, and the Arkansas guy gets the penalty???? What else was he supposed to do? Let himself get lit up by the Florida offensive lineman? But of course, Florida gets those calls cause they're Florida. Btw, I do love how Gary Danielson called out the refs for never calling Tebow on a celebration penalty even though he does it every time he gains 2 f***ing yards. Starts flexing his muscles and yelling like a b****. Y'all can love Tebow as much as you want, but he's a douche. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 04:03 PM) I thought DE was near the of the list of draft needs this year, and certainly next year....Ogunleye and Anderson in last year of contract and Alex Brown entering that age where DE's start to decline fast....in addition, Brown isn't nearly as much of a pass rushing DE anymore that is needed in the cover 2... I like it because its unlikely the bears would have been able to get a DE with Adams production in the second round, and certainly would not have been able to get one of Adams upside in the second round...basically if the worst Adams will be going forward is a 6 sack a year guy (his average the last two years) than its at least a break even move in my opinion...Adams also has a shot at being a 12 sack a year guy though This sums up my thoughts exactly. If he can average at least 6 sacks/year, the odds are good that those numbers would be better than any DE we could get in the 2nd. Though, with Marinelli as his coach, I feel like he's only going to get better. -

This Arkansas-Florida game has been great. ARK should be up 14-3 right now, but Mallet overthrew an open WR in the endzone, so they settled on a FG. I would feel much better with that than 10-3, but I guess I'll take what I can get. Woo Pig Suey! -

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 06:13 PM) You know what sucks more? Your college and pro team has their bye week on the same weekend. That was my world last week. Oh man, that would suck... You're a Notre Dame guy, right? Golden Tate was in Knoxville last weekend, hanging with one of my boys. Nice guy. -

Never buy a movie that you haven't seen. In some cases it works out okay, but mostly I'm disappointed.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 02:36 AM) 23/26. I missed 86, 92, 93. Other than Kurt Brown (who I knew as one of the biggest bust in our franchise) alot of the early years are much harder sans the bigger names. Luckally, I still remembered alot of guys (most dawned the uni) though I must admit, spelling their names kills you. Jason Dellaero? I must have spelled his name wrong literally 20 times before I got it right with just the right amount of time. I did the same thing. Oh, and 23 is pretty damn impressive.

Cool idea. I love Sporcle... Anyway, got a 17 out of 26, which I don't think is too bad considering I wasn't even born yet when some of those picks occurred. Got all of 2000 (which is when I 1st started following the baseball draft) to now, plus Ventura, Thomas, Fernandez, Johnson, Dallaero, Wells, and Stumm.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 06:36 PM) I think it's funny you left off UNC who happened to give us the greatest player ever, I guess you really don't like them. lol What? I did that on purpose. I was joking... thought it was obvious enough not to need green

Even though I've known this, watching that video just made me think about how I love all the basketball powerhouses 4 of our 5 starters were from: Central Arkansas, NE Oklahoma St, New Mexico, and Miami (Oh). Haha. Maybe Paxson's way of building a team (by drafting guys from highly successful programs) is all wrong...

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 06:36 AM) Bradford Clausen Locker Snead Mallett McCoy Tebow As for LB's, what about Mayo? I'd say him and Willis are equal. Yeah, Mayo is a beast as well. It was a lot of fun watching him every Saturday 2 years ago. He wreaked havoc on opposing offenses then and is a big reason we went to the SEC championship that year. I'd ranks those QBs: Bradford Clausen Locker Mallett McCoy Snead Tebow -
I was up 4 points going into tonight. I had Keller. He had Leon Washington. Washington gets 5 points. Keller 0. Thanks Sanchez, you f***, for not even looking at your stud TE all night.

I was a huge proponent of the Bears drafting Willis when he came out (my brother and sister went to Ole Miss so I inadvertently became a fan of the team and absolutely loved Willis) by trading Briggs to the 'Skins and taking Willis at #6. Most people wanted Landry if we made that trade but I wanted Willis so bad. I can't complain with the decision b/c Briggs has played great for the Bears, but I was really hoping at the time that we'd trade him b/c I was pissed at him... Oh, and yes, Willis is better than Briggs.
