  1. yanks announcer mad that Rizzo took 2b but tbh they were gonna pitch around judge anyways imho
  2. this Yankees Rays game is unreal https://mlbstream.me/new-york-yankees-stream
  3. whoever the coaches are who prepare these guys daily, they all gotta be replaced, fucking christ, old man at 3b can go too
  4. one of the dumbest, lowest IQ teams in the post season
  5. of course Vaughn drives in the tying run
  6. I'm trying not to get caught up in the regular season head to head stats, I think NYY will have a pretty depleted and beatup team if they make it to the 2nd round
  7. who would you rather face in the 2nd round, NYY or TB? it's a hypothetical obviously
  8. man Judge has got a cannon for an arm, Vaughn+Cease for Judge, get it done Rick
  9. I don't want Vaughn anywhere near the batters box in the playoffs
  10. it's truly fascinating how epicly bad Cease is in the first 3 innings of a game, ?
  11. I would've played Billy H in RF today, get him some regular ABs vs the lefty and get some speed and D in RF
  12. what market does your quoting skills play in, oof.
  13. also, red states far and away are leading in COVID deaths, likely due to lower vaccination rates
  14. Any nurses/doctors wanna weigh in on the recent news regarding the vaccines being improperly administered? Dr. John Campbell of the UK (he's been interviewed on CNN a few times) says all IM vaccines need to be aspirated to avoid the risk of intravenous injection, which can cause myopericarditis. Myopericarditis has been in the news more than a few times as a possible (albeit rare, 1 in 121000) reaction to the vaccine. Initially it was being written off as just an adverse reaction to the vaccine, but now it's being suggested by multiple doctors that this was likely caused by the vaccines not being aspirated to prevent injection into blood vessels. Neither of mine were aspirated and many Walgreens techs are refusing to do it.
  15. that just goes to show how fWAR is an extremely misleading stat, how the fuck does Moncada even approach Machado in WAR when looking at their numbers, and Machado also has a 10point advantage in fPCT as well (and 2 less errors in 10 more games played) the *only* reason anyone wouldn't want Machado over Moncada is because of the contract
  16. probably DH vs righties, split with some time at 1b and occasionally in RF
  17. pointless game, doubt Oakland has a comeback in them, maybe at the colosseum
  18. afaik if a playoff seeding is at stake, they always make up the game, or play an extra one
  19. Off topic, but I feel you all need to know that this exists.
  20. Because $141 million is less than $224 million, and it allows them to have more flexibility with their roster after 4 years If they want to trade Machado, they're going to have to eat some of his salary. This achieves that goal, and unlocks 3B in 4 years if they want to put a cheaper option there Adjust the 60 mil to whatever you want, but I don't see any team absorbing Machado's deal unless a significant portion is picked up.
  21. Which player would you rather have, Moncada or Machado? Machado vs Moncada 2021 stats: Machado: 28/103, .279/.348/.492 (151 games), BB%: 9.8, K%: 16.0 Moncada: 13/58, .262/.375/.402 (142 games), BB%: 13.8, K%: 25.5 Age: 29 years old vs 26 years old fWAR: 4.5 vs 4.2 Contract: 224mil (7y remain) vs 81.4mil (4y remain) If you can get SD to eat at least some of that contract, I would definitely trade them in a swap of some sort. Straight up, I don't think so. But if they eat 60+ mil? ? Machado / TA / Semien / Abreu ohhhh lawdy
