Sox @ Brew Crew, 7/25, 6:08, Game Thread

the only reason Vaughn and Sheets are on the team is because of how cheap the owner is. these guys should be playing everyday in the minors right now -

didn't really plan on watching the Sox get no-hit on national tv tonight, but here we are -
Eloy / Engel / Vaughn Adam is gonna blow out his 3rd hamstring

if Hahn makes a trade tomorrow it'll be an overpay. no deals will be made until the last hour of the last day. there might be incentive to hurry and make moves if the Sox didnt have such a large lead. and Cleveland keeps losing, it's pretty much the only leverage Hahn has is to pretend like he isn't desperate, that his club is in line to walk away with the division without adding but if I had to predict what happens at the deadline: Hahn either makes no moves at all (unlikely), or Hahn overpays for what we get. And this board will lose it's damn mind

Moncada is laughably dumb lol, like dude is not very bright and that's being kind

this team makes mistakes that make you seriously question their coaching and preparation, I mean you don't touch the plate, who does that? and it wasn't even like he had to slide in and dodge the tag. he just didn't step on it total clown show

walking a guy hitting .137 is vintage Rodon

not gonna happen until the price is at the absolute lowest, meaning July 30th an hour before the deadline -

why are you lying to yourself that Cruz isn't arguably one of the best pure hitters in the AL? How does a guy like that not make your lineup infinitely more dangerous no, let's rely on rookies to not shit the bed when the lights are the brightest and the cameras are on nationwide if you wanna say he would cost too many prospects, that's a perfectly reasonable opinion but acting as if Cruz is just an old dude who puts up old man numbers is ridiculous and disingenuous, this trade makes Tampa Bay's lineup a shitload better
-
Or the Sox grow a brain and pitch around him when the situation calls for it. He hits around .400 vs Sox pitchers fucking make the adjustment
-
Sheets was called up out of necessity due to injuries, are you suggesting the team is better with Sheets than Cruz? Saying we have guys who can DH is like saying we are set at 2B because we have Leury Garcia and Danny Mendick
-
I mean, they would be crazy to put Eloy back in LF. but does the team win more games with: 1) Eloy in LF/Cruz at DH, with Vaughn acting as a kind of super sub between LF/1B/3B/DH? 2) Or stick with Eloy and Vaughn? you'd have to think they're a better team overall in option 1. but it could hamper Vaughn's overall development. Sox should be trying to win the WS over developing guys but that's just my opinion

I think Anderson gets extended another 4 years in his walk year

He's got Victor Conte on speed dial
