  1. I doubt Beckham is on the big league team that soon, more like at the earliest a month and a half from now
  2. I'm more upset with Danks right now, overall, than Floyd Floyd's inability to pitch out of the stretch, his inability to hold runners and inability to successfully use a slide step without having to be coached from the dugout, concern me a bit. Danks' problems are much more concerning to me, however, as his seem to be release point-related, which he hasn't been able to find in his last 3-4 starts
  3. if slayer is brought up soon, i'm calling in sick and getting tickets to that game so long as it's at the cell
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:53 PM) His swing is broke..don't let that last week fool you. His time with the Sox is coming to a close. Sample si... oh f*** it. Welcome aboard, Slayer!
  5. we were 7 games under .500 a little while ago hmm, weird also nice hot chicks w/ the S O X on their bellies
  6. Buehrle is to Danks, as Linebrink should be to _____? Teach this kid how to pitch over hits, Liney
  7. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:50 PM) Giambi looks at good pitches and looked at two pitches that should have been strikes and then does an AJ. Floyd should have had two shutouts in a row as he lost concentration in teh Angels agame and Ramirez needed to make the play in the 1st. Not liking using Linebrink today. Gavin needs to take some f***ing chill pills, he gets all bent out of shape when someone reaches base on him
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:48 PM) It's really sick how good Beckham should be. I'm trying to temper expectations, but the f***er is hitting .467 in AAA. It's like he's playing high school ball. .467 is one of those well-rounded, limited at-bats numbers. he's doing great yes, but he'll simmer down some he's a sick talent though
  9. lol @ the HGH chants from the crowd. LOL now they're chanting it in unison.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:40 PM) Or how about this...he sees the ball a lot better against LHP than RHP? Well he just walked facing a RHP, so I think his eye is an equal opportunity eye Or something
  11. Don't do too much here Jayson, short and quick edit: Walks, 6-2. Great at bat, Jayson
  12. Jayson has a good eye, good understanding of the strike zone, but one has to wonder if his limited playing time and playing in front of a packed house may have him over thinking a bit tonight
  13. i see another high fastball coming here to AJ on this 0-2 count.
  14. Those bunts were coming from the f***ing dugout, stupid stupid ozzie. stupid.
  15. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:13 PM) Thornton is so amazing, basically a one-pitch pitcher and he dominates. Take a look at the body language of hitters that face him, they look very uncomfortable in the box, left-handers especially Holliday is a righty and he barely took the bat off his shoulder
  16. Pods reminding us that he indeed is capable of base on balls.
