it's the same system as the NHL right? lottery for the worst teams, prevents intentional tanking, at least that's the reasoning
-
lol it won't make a bit of difference where Kopech is slotted in, team is gonna lose 100 games next year

Fegan on Score @1225 pm to discuss Sox remaining moves

what time is the deadline? -
The White Sox are like that glass of Coke you let sit out the day before, you know it's flat and disgusting but like an idiot you still take a sip and then act surprised when it's awful

are we seriously gonna continue letting Hahn bury this franchise into the hole he dug for himself, there's gotta be something actionable we all can agree on that leads to his ass being fired. I refuse to believe that we have no say whatsoever this one guy has singlehandedly destroyed a large market franchise that's been around for over 100 years, f*** Rick Hahn we should all call the score and espn1000 one after another and just air our grievances im mad, this is the first time I've ever actively watched another baseball team and im not happy about it

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
joejoesox replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Robert is such a streaky hitter, I could easily see him flipping 180⁰ next year and being very mediocre at the plate. Sell high on him if you can ask for whatever you want -

what's the alternative, given the current ruleset of the game we are playing Rule #1: Working with a handicapped payroll Rule #2: Unwilling to sign pitching FAs to long term deals Rule #3: Zero organizational depth and zero player development What's the alternative if we don't blow it up, when they seem to be set on deflating the payroll for the next couple years -
Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers

Quickest path to contention in my eyes is to blow it all up and restock the farm with universally recognized top prospects, if I was the GM id be asking for the moon for Cease and Robert right now. I'd probably hang onto TA until next year, or even consider signing him to a very affordable extension. that way, if he bounces back next year you have another opportunity to beef up the farm by trading an affordable TA who's also locked up -

2024-2025-2026 were automatically going to be tank years if this core didn't perform, the only way to speed up the transition to success is to stock the farm and try it all over again. they were never going to do the retool approach like the KW years, those days are long gone -

I'm enjoying watching the orioles lately -
should stop paying any mind to this team, they don't deserve your attention at all right now
-
lol f*** off, defending a piece of s%*# who cheated on his wife, you're the tool buddy
-
the bolded. if it wasn't apparent by my comment. "Wait he admitted this? Yikes" I've tuned out pretty much everything Sox the last few months. My only Sox news comes from Locked On Sox and Sox Machine. And to answer your question, he's garbage for cheating on his wife and getting this side piece pregnant. 100% piece of s%*#.
-
wait, he admitted this? yikes edit: oof https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-white-sox/tim-anderson-opens-up-about-extramarital-affair/ well at least we don't have to speculate about why he's a garbage player now, turns out he's also a garbage human being
-
Do you enjoy anything at all?
-
nadda, not for the last month I haven't watched a full game since May, doesn't take much for me to turn the s%*# off
-
I can't believe you guys actually watch these games, like there's nothing else for you to do, seriously? it's like that bill burr skit where he's talking about jaded girlfriends who can't leave their abusive relationships "I can't just leave him Becky, my CDs are in his TRUCK"
-
you do realize that for the kinds of changes this team needs, they need to play so badly that people lose their jobs you understand that right
-
lmao Sox season ends with a pathetic HR derby, so typical
