Liam Hendriks' return appears imminent
joejoesox replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
it's hilarious how many fake injuries the Sox pull out of their ass when they need to manipulate the roster -
I think it's too early to give up on Vaughn, you'll have to just write this season off and hope some of these guys can bounce back next year. whatever's causing Vaughn to suck is also infecting the rest of the team, that's why I don't think the problem is necessarily one specific thing or another and instead the entire team trying to overcompensate for how bad they were then first 2+ months, and baseball isn't really a sport where you can just grind harder to fix your problems
-
is this where you're at now, Sox fans airing their grievances, maybe a little reactionary at times, so you jump down people's throats for being pissed at the wrong thing? Lol this team fucking sucks, front office sucks, and your post sucked
-
like I said earlier, their atrocious start to the year has compounded into everyone thinking they can just play harder/try harder to win games rather than just accepting that they sucked, put the past behind them and start with a clean slate. they're still pressing (they're all basically mind-f**ked and it's obvious) which doesn't generally win ballgames, just ends up being more of the same if not worse. they really need a leader in that clubhouse that they can feed off of, someone who's been through s%*# like this before. as bad as Abreu is now, he was always that guy. theres a void that exists now because nobody filled that (imo) very important role after he walked. The 2023 Sox are basically a team full of prospects/AAAA players and a coaching staff to go along with it. the talent is there but you need more than talent to compete in the big leagues, you need to look at how successful teams operate, they do the little things like look oppo, choke up with 2 strikes, etc. How many times have we seen guys like Vaughn, Burger, Robert, Moncada, etc try to hit a baseball 500ft in 2 strike counts, it's unbelievable how selfish these players are. they're either selfish or really fucking dumb

I'm so over Cease lol, literally another Gavin Floyd
-
you guys notice how bad this lineup is at barrelling up 2-0/3-1 fast balls down the pipe, it's astonishing
-
Horrible start to the season/awful record, now guys are trying too hard to fix being a 4th place team in 1 outing and thus making mistakes plus Cease is a scared little boy, always has been
-
Vaughn's heatmap is comical
-
not that it really matters since this game is over but that second pitch to Short was the exact same fucking pitch and same velo as the strike right before it, they're lucky it was just a ground out. why would you call for two fastballs, middle in, back to back, to a guy who just blasted one out the day before
-
my god, Lucas is such a head case sometimes, him and Cease have so much raw talent but they have a lot of Gavin Floyd in them also edit: also also also
-
Sheets always seems to have good at bats. like he's thinking pitch to pitch
-
imo this is a point that isn't mentioned enough. Sox aren't attractive to big name free agents. Even when they throw out the top offer.

Jake Burger needs to put in the damn cheatcode on iPitch, COME ON DUDE
-
Funny how facing the bottom of the barrell of baseball lets you pad your stats. We all know what's gonna happen when they face <insert any Non-ALC team> I'll start to get mildly interested when they prove that this last stretch of games wasn't a total fluke
-
Heard people saying Cease didn't have a lot of strikeouts because "Cleveland doesn't strike out much" Kopech didn't seem to have any issues.
-
Cease used to strike guys out, funny how things change
