  1. Will the Sox sign Jose to a new deal? Will Eloy be traded to make room for a new LF, which allows Vaughn and Abreu to man 1B/DH? Maybe Vaughn traded to fill holes?
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/whitesox/comments/xxcmx7/rumblings_in_the_front_office_from_an_internal/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
  3. Sox record: 2006-2022 1282 - 1370 (.483 WP)
  4. wish more people realized this want change? stop going to games and don't renew your ST
  5. there's a good reason why a lot of people are against OG coming back, he frankly quit on his own team after all of the negative media attention he constantly put on himself with his dumb ass comments we can do better than OG
  6. one thing is for sure, this board will absolutely be divided on who the pick will be I dunno if I want it to be an older vet to be honest, I think I'd rather have a younger guy who speaks fluent Spanish or is Hispanic, someone the younger guys can kind of relate to and will play hard for, someone who also has something to prove to the league that he isn't just a new name those are my criteria
  7. I didn't mean his trade value was equal to Sale's, I just meant you probably aren't going to get proper value for him if you trade him right now, I personally wouldn't trade him as like you said, the Sox are desperately trying to finalize their rotation and doing it from a position of zero depth
  8. Kopech should still have very good trade value, almost in the 'wont get what he's worth' category Sale was in the year before he was traded
  9. I think there's a decent chance he's traded (50/50) sadly I don't think they'll get much for him, not anything close to what fans think he's worth
  10. Guys I consider part of their core would be: Moncada, Anderson, Jimenez, Robert, Vaughn, Cease, Kopech, Giolito. You also can suggest Abreu (if he isn't re-signed) as I consider him part of the core It's a bad situation to be in as the GM/Front Office as Abreu could be argued as the glue that holds this team together. He works harder than just about anyone else on the entire roster and sets an example for younger guys on how to be a professional. However he's older and plays a less premium position. My two cents, along with a hot take: Abreu signs a 1 year deal with Chicago, Moncada is shopped around/possibly traded for another shitty contract Also Sox should absolutely look to get something worthwhile back for Tim Anderson if there are buyers
  11. whoever the mgr is, I'm hoping it's someone younger with something to prove
  12. Ozzie spitting facts Sox need to trade some of their DHs
  13. nobody takes Moncada right now, bad reputation and habitual underperformer
  14. I agree that injuries probably played a large part in their final record but look at the last 2 years if you want a gauge on how this team would fare against a playoff opponent with a pulse, Sox just don't do s%*# correctly as an organization
  15. well judge seems like the body type that doesn't last long without chronic injuries in baseball, plus he's hurt like every year already
  16. wow this is a seriously embarrassing professional sports team, hopefully the whole sports world sees it
  17. so long as it's competent people doing the rebuilding (i.e. people who aren't previous players/coaches from the White Sox) I would gladly watch a team who plays hard lose 100 games, rather than watch an overpaid group of millionaire rappers win 83 games
  18. I don't think they make the playoffs with Rodon but that definitely was a horrible decision to let him walk given all the time invested in him since drafted
  19. you could probably find a taker on Eloy tbh, just sell him as a DH
