  1. thats a start but that gets you maybe 5 more wins. you need a total tear down of management and coaching and also the PTs. bring in guys who don't have any ties to the org also would be a nice changeup. imo signing AJ Hinch was just a perfect guy to hire, TLR was the absolute worst. I remember some of the people here saying they preferred TLR, lol...
  2. that O-Swing% (29th overall) just screams a team of guys who had their own offensive style (the reason they were drafted/signed) and are being told to completely change their approach to fit some sort of arbitrary philosophy taught by Menechino. so of course they're struggling mightily while they try to adapt to a totally different kind of hitting that's my armchair breakdown wonder if the last few years Menechino laid off the hard instructions and just let the guys do their own thing?
  3. The Sox are playing at half strength because they're inept at keeping their staff focused and healthy for a full season. What, did you think it was just a coincidence that all of the sudden a large portion of our starting lineup started getting hurt multiple times over the course of this (not even concluded) season? The trainers aren't respected by the players, so they're just half-assing their between game preparation. This isnt a serious baseball team, but guys like Hahn and TLR have convinced people like you that they are.
  4. I think everyone on this board knows that the deep rooted problems start with Ownership and Management. Talented players are great but if you can't keep them steered in the right direction, then you're just another average MLB team. all 30 teams have talent, it's the ones who do the little things right, year in and year out who are worth a damn LAD, HOU, TB (One tier below that would be STL, CLE, and perhaps the current NYY) Ignore the payrolls and try to emulate those clubs, and you'll find success. I feel like the Sox don't even know what the hell they're doing 90% of the time tbh
  5. the same Buffett that pays only 0.4% of his earnings in taxes? dude is just as much of a greedy psychopath as the rest of them. there are a small few billionaires that actually pay their fair share (25-30% and up) but they're a very very very small percentage
  6. show me one billionaire that doesn't think they're 100% right, all the damn time. they all surround themselves with high paid sycophants who's sole purpose is to tell them how smart they are. Reinsdorf is no different.
  7. I feel like there's definitely something going on in the clubhouse and I wish someone who knew exactly what it was could just make a new anonymous account on here and spill the beans ? assuming it's something other than TLR
  8. Spanish speaking with something to prove, former catcher or someone who seemed to understand hitting and working an AB to their favor Sox need a guy who can bring an offense based philosophy, that can be taught up and down the org, preferably someone who doesn't have deep ties to the White Sox. I've seen enough White Sox running the White Sox Maddon I suppose would be fine presuming we allow him full reign over managerial/coaching hires If Hahn/KW/JR is just gonna be the marionette working from the shadows, then it won't matter who the damn coaches are
  9. orioles have a better record and play in a tougher division lolol they're absolutely better than this Sox team
  10. Harrison reminds me of Leury, and Moncada. Guys who are always taking a hack at the wrong fucking pitch in an at bat because their pitch recognition is bottom of the league tier. How can these guys be so bad at knowing how to work a count in their favor. Do they even look at video of the guy they're facing? It's really remarkable
  11. no more of an embarrassment than the people here who died on the "no! Moncada is great" hill the last 3 years
  12. same shit as when Rongey was doing Sox post game, poor coaching, lack of preparation, and just overall discipline. need a total house cleaning, it's so obvious
  13. lmfao at this garbage, how does Memerchino still have a job past Single A
  14. trading away what's left of our farm system to attempt to resuscitate this dead season would've been foolish. when are people going to realize adding more talent isn't going to fix the bigger issue it's a coaching/preparation/leadership problem. replace these people with competent coaches, people who are serious and you'll realize you don't need to mirror the 1990s Yankees to have success, instead try emulating the Rays
  15. this is why I laugh when people talk about possible trade acquisitions that the Sox could make to get the team over the hump, no trades will do that barring the A+ tier class guys who are good because they have innate talent how many players (specifically position players) have to come here and then have career low performances before people start to realize that it's the way the Sox do things (prep, research/tech, scouting reports, training, etc) that causes guys to just fall flat on their face some guys are gonna be good regardless like Abreu and NewTimmy but you also have to get the most out of your 750ish OPS guys and this team clearly doesn't know wtf they're doing with the B tier/2nd Class players
  16. ? They're all cheating again. Not with spider tack but they're all using traditional sticky substances again, the league is quietly allowing it
  17. just makes it cheaper for the Sox to lock him up, no way is he this bad going forward . damn near half the starters suck this year anyways, try again next year with a clean slate and hopefully new fucking coaches
  18. one of the 5 dumbest teams in baseball without a doubt, top to bottom just full of dullards playing 1990s era baseball in a league of teams using AI algorithms and advanced statistics
