The Jarred Kelenic Appreciation Thread
TomPickle replied to Harold's Leg Lift's topic in The Diamond Club
I know it has been a little while since anyone has done it, but can we stop with the Julio Rodriguez slander by comparing him to the failure Jarred Kelenic? First 12 games: .136/.208/.159, -0.1 fWAR Since: .339/.397/.484, 1.0 fWAR (tied for 8th among position players) -
Andrew Vaughn was hit by a 94 mph fastball in the wrist. There is no amount of playing both games of a doubleheader that will make your bones stronger.

This is what it would look like if the White Sox were purposely throwing the game.

Jose Rodriguez with 2 doubles today. Hopefully he's turning it around after a rough first few games to start the year.

GT 4/15: Rays @ SOX, 6:10 PM CT, Apple TV+

xBA doesn't have anything to do with how likely a defender is going to make a play. It is only a measure of exit velocity and launch angle and doesn't take into account where the ball lands on the field. Diaz's grounder had a .160 xBA but it doesn't mean Abreu should have made the play. -

And Sheets' odds of reaching base basically doubled after the count went from 0-1 to 0-2. -

Video crashed on me and now I can't get it to load on two different devices. Gave up and found a bootleg stream. Great work Apple/MLB. -

We'll call it a draw -
Really interested to see how Colas fares against Owen White.

He will fill in nicely for Billy Hamilton as a cool veteran that's easy to root for. Hopefully he has a smattering of memorable moments while filling in, but isn't ever seriously relied upon.

They are free to anyone, you just need to watch them through the app or on http://tv.apple.com Friday, April 15 Tampa Bay Rays at Chicago White Sox, 6 p.m. CT Friday, May 6 Chicago White Sox at Boston Red Sox, 6 p.m. CT Friday, June 17 Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros, 7 p.m. CT -
It's useful to me since now when a league is mentioned in a prospect podcast I will actually know which one they are talking about.

And a better year than anyone not named Bryce Harper or Juan Soto against righties. -
Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)

...in 36 games. I hated the Eaton signing but I don't mind this. Even if he does fall off a cliff someone among Leury, Mendick, and Romy should be able to provide competent play. This gives them another option for $7 mil. As long as this and Kelly aren't the final two moves it's fine in my opinion. -

This makes sense to me with more teams making the playoffs. It's less about finding who is the best team in a division and more about finding the 12 best teams. A more spread out schedule will allow those teams to rise to the top more fairly.
