Lousy control and a 92 mph fastball, they need to feast
-
I'll believe it when I see it. Again, this is an organization that hasn't fired a manager in season since the mid 90's and now were talking about Jerry's buddy. Even when Ozzie quit on this team, he wasn't "Fired" they just kind of let him go on his own terms. And that was someone who pretty much insulted the organization.

7/12 GT Gm 1 @NoonCT: Sox play 2 today, if you care

Yeah, this year alone Moncada, Eloy, and Robert count 27 million against the payroll but could have been around 6-7 million if not extended. I am not going to try and shit on this now though, I was a fan of the extensions at the time. Just hasn't worked out so far. -

At the time, signing Moncada, Jimenez, and Robert to those long deals was awesome. Now, in hindsight, its kind of like.... maybe we should have made sure they can play before we throw all this money at them. -
Wishful thinking, I don't think there's anyway LaRussa "quits" His HOF reputation means way too much to him.

Pilkington is... not good. A lefty with a 1.67 WHIP. If we cant get it done in game 2, well, I guess that would just be par for the course now wouldn't it.

Well yeah, you and I know that and we would do that. Unfortunately, the guy who makes that decision will not do that. -

This is exactly why I don't think you will see any changes made. They aren't out of it, and the schedule is hardly daunting coming out of the break. -

Hahn is the GM of this team. All signings and trades are done by him. LaRussa may have some influence on players he wants, but I don't buy for a second that he was forced to sign Leury. He extended him, that's on Hahn. -

He nearly succeeded with Wheeler. I don't think they were anywhere close with Machado. Didn't they have a 250 million offer masquerading as a 300 million offer? I thought Machado then just waited around until a real offer came about and the rest is history. -

If Jerry would have hired Tony and said "I believe hes the right man to lead this team to a championship" it would be a lot easier to fire him, but instead it was "I need to make up for a mistake that happened decades ago" and now how do you fire him from Jerry's perspective? Im sure he had to talk LaRussa into taking the job and stressed his previous error. Pride is important to a lot of people, how can Jerry turn around now and say "Actually, turns out this isnt going to work see ya". I think that's a big issue here and might be why he hasn't been let go already. -

This is the most miserable I have ever been during my White Sox fandom. This is truly the most frustrating and disappointing season all things considered. The worst part is I cant even confidently say things will change either. Its like were in a black hole of despair. -

That makes no sense what so ever. You criticize in private and praise in public. In what world would someone think that its going to go over well calling people out in a group setting. This is management 101. This is no way to repair this mess. Tony needs to be let go, these guys are never going to battle for him. -

At this point, we either need to turn it around and win this division or there needs to be massive changes in the offseason. I am talking Tony and Hahn out. If Abreu is back, I am trading Andrew Vaughn. I look it as a Carlos Lee trade only for a more controllable asset. Use Vaughn to get someone who is going to compliment the roster better and relieve the redundancy that is all over the place. But we need a new front office for this, I don't want any part of this same regime retooling this mess. -

Unfortunately, Tony is not the only problem with this team. The lack of monetary support from the owner to fill holes on the roster is a problem. The gluttony of 1B/DH plodders is a problem. The empty farm system is a problem. The future is not bright here. -

Yep, I thought as bad as it would get is we win 90-95 games and get ousted in the first round of the playoffs. This is considerably worse. -
For fucks sake how many times is the ball gonna deflect off the pitcher and into right field
-
How can someone not be fired tonight if this is a blow out. How???
-
Ok, now I’m hoping they just lose the next 8 games and go scorched earth. I can’t watch this garbage anymore I need changes.
-
Why are the bases constantly loaded in the first inning
-
Wtf, I thought Kenny talked to these guys they still suck
-
If the Sox trade for Juan Soto we have a chance.
T R U replied to Jerksticks's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would offer Kopech, Vaughn, and Montgomery only if Soto would sign a contract extension here. -
Dude, the Sox are WAY better on paper than both of those teams. Way better. There was a reason they were universally considered to run away with this division. Hell, even when they were multiple games back they were still the betting favorites to win the division.

Lol so many of these guys
