  1. Just because the Chiefs could have kept him, doesn't mean they wanted to do so at the cost. Then of course there was the compensation headed back to them that helps making that decision as well. The Chiefs have a QB on a massive contract as well as a handful of others with very large cap hits, Miami doesn't have that QB contract currently. I didn't mean the cap is non-existent, but for a lot of these large contracts you can still maneuver around to do what you need to do.
  2. Not sure if you are agreeing with me or mocking me, but for reference before this trade and extension Miami had 6 million in cap room.
  3. Excellent trade, desperately needed a play maker like that for Tua I dont even care about the picks, we still have 2 firsts next year. The money is whatever as well, theres always a way to work around the cap.
  4. I think the plan was always to rent Kimbrel for the playoff run and then flip him in the offseason. The problem was Kimbrel was hot garbage for us and derailed that plan. Theres no way they acquired Kimbrel with the idea they were going to keep two high priced closers on the roster. Thats not how these guys operate.
  5. Vaughn and Adolfo HR's looked almost identical
  6. No, there's definitely a better chance Detroit could pull that off than the White Sox could.
  7. I’m sure he’s going to be traded eventually, but I just stopped to think “what if?”
  8. Oh man, so what happens if there are no takers for Kimbrel?? That would ssssssssuck
  9. Not this choose your own opponent crap again, that idea sucks
  10. Yes, discarded by the White Sox then traded for something useful by another organization
  11. (White Sox sign Chris Archer) Everyone: Hey, I thought you wanted someone like Robbie Ray? White Sox: Well, I mean, they are both starting pitchers....
  12. Yeah they aren't close at all, but at least they are doing something to show they are trying to get there. I would have preferred Mariners as well, anything to knock off the Astros.
  13. You have to overpay in free agency, just the way it is. The Rangers got better today with that signing, well see what it looks like 4-5 years from now but even then were taking about 25 million a year which might be nothing by then.
  14. I didn’t say I’d rather be the rangers, just said it’s more exciting.
  15. Honestly good for the rangers and their fans. They aren’t close to competing but they are spending money and the fans have something to be excited about. it’s more exciting than having an actual good team finally and wondering which dumpster they are going to dive as they squander a championship window.
  16. Well sounds like he got at least $175
  17. Wtf? This guy has been in the MVP conversation the past few years he was never getting the white sox special deal
  18. You’re in a fantasy world if you think these guys are giving out a contract over $100,000,000 this offseason
  19. Whose mad? You cant just retro the rules and say they would have been in the playoffs. It is what it is.
  20. No one should be surprised by this. And its not even just JR, you could make the case that this franchise is one of the most futile in MLB history. I love the White Sox and always will, but their history is staggeringly pathetic. Established in 1900. 3 Championships. 12 Playoff appearances, and 2020-2021 was the first time EVER they went back to back. Woof.
  21. What if they’re trying to start a new trend of majority roster of slow plodding DHs??
  22. We would sign Gausman to a big deal and then he would proceed to come here and put up an ERA in the 5's and be the most hated man on the planet by the board. That's my Gausman prediction if the Sox were to sign him.
