  1. I also want to add putting it out there that you are only going to trade these guys if you "win" or someone "overpays" is dumb. That's a nice way to drive off interest.
  2. If Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly can return two young controllable MLB ready arms then Michael Kopech with an extra year of control should bring back something useful as well. A big help here is competition between other teams trying to get him, and much like last year you know teams are thinking if they can get the talented player they can adjust what the White Sox couldn't.
  3. If you erase the 3-22 start this team is still 24-46 They are, without a doubt, the worst team in baseball this season.
  4. I would bet that the return for Kopech is going to be much better than people think.
  5. You would think Sheets makes more sense for those teams. Cheaper and pretty much the same production. Plus, not only can he play 1B/DH he can play the OF as well lol.
  6. Im ok with Crochet not moving. I find it hard to see a deal for him when he is inevitably going to be shut down at some point. It just doesn't make a lot of sense for someone to trade for him now. I really hope Philly goes balls to the wall for Robert, that would be ideal. Hes the one guy who I would like to just get out of here now instead of waiting for diminishing reasons.
  7. Yeah it was apparently some plumber back in 1905 or something like that
  8. I fully expected to see Eder at some point this season however I wouldn't be thumping my chest about him being the 27th mop up man on a double header day when he hasn't been performing all that well in the minors. That's all I was saying.
  9. Nah, just thought your post was a weird thing to puff your chest about.
  10. Ah man, remember when Luis Robert was washed and had little value.. good times.
  11. So many thoughts were going through my head, I wanted the Twins to hit a grand slam but then I didn't want Fedde to lose any value. Then I saw they were warming someone up already and its like what are you thinking we have a double header.
  12. Dude Lance Lynn is 37 years old and was absolutely terrible last season and he got $11 million per year. Giolito was not good last year, he got $19 million per year. You are out of touch with reality if you don't think Crochet would command $20 million RIGHT NOW if he entered free agency this off-season, never mind what hes going to cost in 2 seasons if he has established himself as an ace starting pitcher.
  13. The problem is the owner is not all of the sudden going to get his head out of his ass. So 2025 will be the same as 2024, 2026 should see some growth and if were lucky they are competitive again in 2027. This is going to take a lot of these young guys working out.
  14. Jake Burger would have fit right in with the 2024 White Sox. Got Injured? Check OPS under .650? Check Negative war? Check
  15. Which is crazy to me on July 9th, just really a testament to how bad this season is.
  16. Im not a fan so far, but can deal with it. The rawr though, its just too much. Please stop that s%*#. Also as noted before, this team is 41 games under .500. I feel like a good broadcaster would be able to highlight positives relevant to the season taking place instead of something good happening and he says "You know if they could just get some of these breaks..." its over man, tell us how good Sosa has been lately or how improved Thorpe has been over his last handful of starts. Praising Maldonado for finally getting over .100 aint it, I don't need to hear you beat that to death.
  17. Im pretty sure Cleveland could lose the next 40 games in a row and would still be 10+ games up on the Sox.
  18. Im sure he wants to be extended, but we won't offer what that will take to get it done. I know you get this, but seems like most others don't. Garrett Crochet is arguably one of the best pitchers in baseball at this point in time. Hes not going to accept some $15 million a year sweetheart deal from the White Sox when he will be looking at $30 million a year in 2 seasons.
  19. People are going to be really stunned with how long this thing is going to take. There is no chance they extend Crochet, none. Already tried and apparently failed to get anywhere (what a shock). This will be 5 years minimum, book it.
  20. I wonder if this is true for most teams, but my god their hit rate is obscenely low on free agents working out.
  21. I know Benintendi has shown more power this year but I’ve never seen someone look like they crushed a ball only for it to just die out there.
