So many thoughts were going through my head, I wanted the Twins to hit a grand slam but then I didn't want Fedde to lose any value. Then I saw they were warming someone up already and its like what are you thinking we have a double header. -

GMs skeptical teams meet price for Robert
T R U replied to southsider2k5's topic in Trade Winds 2024
Dude Lance Lynn is 37 years old and was absolutely terrible last season and he got $11 million per year. Giolito was not good last year, he got $19 million per year. You are out of touch with reality if you don't think Crochet would command $20 million RIGHT NOW if he entered free agency this off-season, never mind what hes going to cost in 2 seasons if he has established himself as an ace starting pitcher. -

The problem is the owner is not all of the sudden going to get his head out of his ass. So 2025 will be the same as 2024, 2026 should see some growth and if were lucky they are competitive again in 2027. This is going to take a lot of these young guys working out. -
Jake Burger would have fit right in with the 2024 White Sox. Got Injured? Check OPS under .650? Check Negative war? Check

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
T R U replied to Paulie4Pres's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Which is crazy to me on July 9th, just really a testament to how bad this season is. -
Im not a fan so far, but can deal with it. The rawr though, its just too much. Please stop that s%*#. Also as noted before, this team is 41 games under .500. I feel like a good broadcaster would be able to highlight positives relevant to the season taking place instead of something good happening and he says "You know if they could just get some of these breaks..." its over man, tell us how good Sosa has been lately or how improved Thorpe has been over his last handful of starts. Praising Maldonado for finally getting over .100 aint it, I don't need to hear you beat that to death.

Im pretty sure Cleveland could lose the next 40 games in a row and would still be 10+ games up on the Sox. -

Im sure he wants to be extended, but we won't offer what that will take to get it done. I know you get this, but seems like most others don't. Garrett Crochet is arguably one of the best pitchers in baseball at this point in time. Hes not going to accept some $15 million a year sweetheart deal from the White Sox when he will be looking at $30 million a year in 2 seasons. -

People are going to be really stunned with how long this thing is going to take. There is no chance they extend Crochet, none. Already tried and apparently failed to get anywhere (what a shock). This will be 5 years minimum, book it. -
7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing

I wonder if this is true for most teams, but my god their hit rate is obscenely low on free agents working out. -

I know Benintendi has shown more power this year but I’ve never seen someone look like they crushed a ball only for it to just die out there. -

Oh yeah, this outing was downright awful, but he was throwing 100 mph with the Dodgers right? -

Am I imagining this or didn’t Leasure throw 100 MPH when he was in the Dodgers system. -
With those trades and the current prospects we have inching closer they may be worse but it will be a hell of a lot more enjoyable to watch seeing these guys develop and progress.
-
Kopech deserves the criticism for sure but the boneheaded bunt situation and Pham completely whiffing a catchable ball certainly didn’t help the situation.
-
People need to be prepared of the real scenario where this team is worse in 2025, although with growth. Remember that it’s a very real possibility we go into next year without Crochet, Fedde, and Robert.
-
Oh I’m sorry “44%” of the time, is that better for you?
-
Maybe that’s why he’s struggling because Jake Burger sucks.
-
He’s gotta stop striking out 50% of the time before I start really getting excited.
-
I would need Holliday back for Flexen, but even then I have concerns about how overrated the Baltimore farm system is.
