  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 01:56 PM) Madden on higher difficulties forces you to play smart. You can't go throwing streaks all game, it doesn't work. They're opportunistic plays you take advantage of every once in a while when you catch a one-on-one. You have to run a balanced offense on all-pro and all-madden. Runs up the middle are incredibly effective this year. Mesh and stick plays work great in this year's game. You're not going to get much more than 10 yards on them, but that's part of the game. Control the tempo of the game and run the clock. Personally I'm not real good on defense so I have to control the clock to beat teams. That's stupid, why cant I complete streak routes all game that's what real football is. I don't want to have to run slants and option routes, I just want to throw deep bombs to wide open receivers all game.
  2. Just for the fun of it, through 3 weeks here are some PPG in PPR settings for TE's Graham is #1 at 20.5 ppg Delanie Walker is at 17.4 Antonio Gates 16.8 Niles Paul 16.4 Obviously, that gap could widen by a huge margin in a few weeks, but if you aren't hurting at TE I don't see the need to give away Alshon and Alf
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 04:28 PM) Keep reading this but Jerick not lighting the world on fire when in. And neither is Asiata, so there is a chance that neither of them are going to be worth anything of value to your team. Its basically do you feel comfortable giving up prolly a low end WR1 and a high end RB2 for an elite TE? I guess it depends on how your team is currently built.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 04:21 PM) Me either. That's a fair trade. Honestly, I'd rather have the Jimmy Graham side unless you have Julius Thomas. Asiata is a bum, it wont be long before McKinnon is getting the carries there.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 01:41 PM) Here you go TRU: https://twitter.com/Ben_Jones88/status/5138...5798912/photo/1 Yeah it was awesome
  6. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 21, 2014 -> 09:43 PM) It really is. I just wish I had a stronger guy (at lvl 23 right now) so I could do the raids/heroic weekly strikes. Right now we just get s***ted on in them. Ive tried to do the hardest lvl on the strike playlist a few times now and I keep getting put with randoms who suck or people who lag out so I haven't gotten to complete it yet. Just hit lvl 23 last night
  7. This was just awful. Lesnar keeps the title but gets dominated pretty much the whole match, what was the point of SummerSlam? They pretty much just erased that match with Cena kicking Lesnars ass tonight.
  8. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 12:43 PM) Yeah, I tried to say why I was dropping out over the mic, but forgot that you can only chat with your party members. That s*** is annoying. I played a lot yesterday. It seems like it is very annoying leveling after you hit 20. You need that s*** though, I tried doing the heroic weekly strike with another level 20 and we both were getting one-shot by everything. Sort of related: does anyone know what the hell all of these materials are for? I got a ton of s*** and it seems confusing. I know where to use strange coins and I think some of it is for gear upgrades, but not totally sure. I heard you, people in the same fireteam can communicate through chat. I just didn't have a mic on so I couldn't respond.
  9. Zoom, I see that youre now able to play with me so ill team up with you next time I see you on. I was doing the strike playlists when you joined me yesterday so you wouldnt have been able to do it yet. Looks like you can now though so ill look out for you next time I get on Destiny.
  10. I was just offered this trade Get: Peyton Manning, Kendall Wright, Eric Decker Give: Tony Romo, Demaryius Thomas, Randall Cobb My initial thought is no thanks, however I have Josh Gordon on my bench and im seeing that he will more than likely play this year with a new agreement coming as early as today. Still looks like he will miss some time at least. If news comes out today that Josh Gordon will miss NO time and will be on the field Sunday, would you do this trade? Just to add, I also have Dez Bryant
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 10:40 AM) Do I dump the KC defense this week (up against Denver) to try to find a better match up? Yes, KC has a brutal schedule and lost two good defenders for the season on Sunday.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:57 PM) If there was literally not a word about it, how do we all know about it? Public outcry, obviously it was news
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:33 PM) Sorry, but if you watched that video and the thing you came away with was "man, that girl was annoying", you are viewing it in a cause and effect lens. If no punching happened, nobody would have had any strong opinions on how that person in the silent video behaved. But in addition, and this is me judging, if you watched that video and one of your thoughts was "man, that girl was annoying", I don't' even know how to finish that. It's just absurd that could be a takeaway. But that's not the only thing that I came away with. It was just verbiage I used when comparing it Josh Brent. I wasn't trying to say "Ray Rice punched her because she was drunk and annoying" I just described her as drunk and annoying, and that was solely from what I saw in the video.
  14. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) You're right, she asked for it, but she did apologize. For the millionth time, its just an observation from watching the video. Never once said she was asking for it or deserved it.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:22 PM) In my view, beating one's significant other should result in some outrage, and I have no problem with it resulting in someone losing their job, along with appropriate legal punishments as well. See I agree with this. What I don't agree with is no outrage over Josh Brent. Literally not a word about it.
  16. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:09 PM) Are you saying that you didn't see the things I mentioned? Yes, I saw them both being drunk and stupid. Are you saying that you didn't see her doing anything?
  17. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:06 PM) Did you watch the video? In the lobby or hall, I see Rice provoke her by sticking his face out like he was going to do something to her. Then in the elevator, he does the same thing then smacks at her face before she moves in and gets knocked out. Then you just have a different opinion about it, I dunno what to tell you.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) I really have a hard time understanding how this isn't justification. You are, you may not think you aren't, but you are. Oh get over it, im telling you for like the 10th time I don't think he was justified and I don't think what he did was right. My observation from the video was that, I don't think it makes what he did ok.
  19. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 02:51 PM) How can you tell she was being annoying in that video? Did you not watch it? She was throwing her hand in his face when they were in the lobby, and then getting all confrontational with him in the elevator. And this is without even being able to hear what was being said. As it has already been pointed out multiple times, it doesn't justify at all what Ray Rice did. Its just an observation from the video.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 01:01 PM) I think 10 game suspension is enough. I would have been fine with 16 too. That was a case about making a terrible, life-taking decision. It's not like it was premeditated or in the heat of a fight or anything. He got drunk and drove. And the other guy was drunk and allowed it. So a 10 game suspension is enough for "accidentally" killing someone, but Ray Rice should be suspended a year or more for hitting a woman?
  21. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 12:58 PM) So, what does one make of the Miami RB situation? What about Sproles? In one of my leagues I have all 3 and McCoy (And Gore). Would it be wrong to start both McCoy and Sproles or Miller and Moreno depending on matchups? Moreno got 24 carries, Miller got 11 carries. Miller was used more in the passing game. I feel like that's going to be the workload split going forward. They want to use both backs.
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 12:54 PM) Listen, this isn't the victim olympics. Just because this other terrible event happened that you think is being underappreciated doesn't mean another terrible event is unimportant. But you almost certainly will not gain support for your view by justifying domestic violence. You can say that's not what you were doing, but you were quite clearly saying Ray Rice's incident was not that bad because his wife was being drunk and annoying. Drunk driving in the NFL has a terrible history, as does this country. The Leonard Little era was disgusting. But there is likely less outrage for Brent because he did face criminal charges. Ray manipulated his way out of the charges, and the league showed way too much support for him. This also happens to be a common situation for victims of domestic violence, whereas victims of drunk driving tend to get the sympathy they deserve. People don't act like it was their fault. I never said Ray Rice's incident wasn't that bad. If you watched the video, you saw his wife stumbling around trying to walk, slapping at Rice, and getting in his face. Was she drunk? Pretty clearly. Was she being annoying? Pretty clearly. Dont take my comments describing what I saw as trying to say it was OK for Ray Rice to knock her out. Killing someone is worse than hitting a woman, pretty cut and dry. Josh Brent serving 6 months in jail and only getting suspended 10 games is a joke compared to the attention Ray Rice is getting. I am already seeing rumors that he might get cut over the video, gimme a break.
