QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 07:49 PM) It's very odd to get rid of a guy after only two games, though. Something must have happened. Yeah, they suck and decided to clean house. Richardson is perfect for the Colts offense, Cleveland gets a second 1st round pick to go for a QB.. I thought it was a great trade for both teams

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) Great episodes for both Dexter and Breaking Bad. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how both end. Id hardly call any recent episode of Dexter great.. this season is awful and with one episode left, there's little chance they can wow me..

I heard some rumors that they arent announcing GTA for the next gen consoles because it could hurt sales with people not buying it now and just waiting two months. I really hope it comes over to next gen because I really want to play it.
-
Traded in my 360 and Black Ops 2 today for a cool $155. Pre ordered and paid off both Call of Duty Ghosts and Watch Dogs, threw the extra cash on an extra PS4 controller. Now I play the waiting game. Only 2 months, shouldn't be too bad I have football to hold me over. Although it is depressing that ill never get to play GTA V or Batman Origins. I definitely wanted Ghosts, but I didn't know what else to get so I just bought Watch Dogs. Its not that interesting to me but I don't know what else to get, I can always change it later.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 05:55 PM) My opponent started Vreen, and he scored him 15 pts. s***. Luckily for me, Reggie Wayne had a nice game, Aaron Rodgers is doing work for me, and I still have Witten and Murray left to play tonight, down by 19 right now. After the year he had last season, I am going to be quite depressed if Ridley is phased out of the offense. -

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Well, I guess I should trade Stevan Ridley asap now. Fumbles, gets benched, and then Vreen goes 100+ yards. Glad my 2nd RD pick has just become fodder......s***. Tell me about it, luckily I also drafted Vereen so I will still be fine.. Im hoping this isnt the end of Ridley -

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 03:25 PM) We do not get PPR, but we do get points for a KO and PR TD. Non PPR ide say Bradshaw (If hes playing), Tate, Austin I don't look too much into Bradshaw not playing in the preseason because that could have just been to keep him protected. Whats interesting to me is hes a 1 year rental so the Colts are just going to use the crap out of him because hes not in the long term plans. Oakland is going to be fighting with the Jets for worst team in the league, I love all defense plays against them and any high powered offense players against them. I think Bradshaw will play tomorrow, and I think hell do good. The worst part would be for him to play sparingly and the game to be over by halftime. Either way, I think Tate or Bradshaw is the best route to go. Tavon if you're into taking risks. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 03:53 PM) I agree. Until proven otherwise I'm sticking with the thought that Chris Givens is the Rams WR you want to own right now I think Chris Givens is the Rams WR to own regardless -

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 02:01 PM) I am having the same debate. Should my flex be Tavon Austin, Ahmad Bradshaw, or Golden Tate. Right now I have Bradshaw in there. Ide rank it Bradshaw, Tate, Austin. But that all depends on is it PPR? Do you get return points? If tomorrow morning Bradshaw is going to play, I play him. If hes not going to play, ide prolly prefer Tate over Austin. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 11:46 AM) I'm saying Brandon Lloyd, said person of multpile 1000 yard years (even if didnt in St Louis), somehow managed 60/900/5 or whatever last year when Brady never really ever looked for him. Thompkins is an undrafted free agent. There's a bit of a learning curve. Counting on Thompkins this week is like buying a scratch lotto ticket. Vereen will get his catches. And he will get some yards. Probably not more than 7 points worth in non-PPR, but he'll get his Actually Brandon LLoyd only has one career 1,000 yard season. It doesn't matter if he was signed off the street, hes going to be a starter in a NE offense that is missing all their top receiving threats from a year ago. Hes going to be on the field, and hes going to have Tom Brady throwing him the ball. Counting on Thompkins this week is like buying a scratch off that already guarantees you some money, but with a chance for a bigger payout. I like Vereen and also think he will get his catches but I think Thompkins will have more opportunities to score points than Vereen. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 09:50 AM) None of this makes sense. I think when you said "this preseason," you lost all credibility. He is going to play the X. That is Brandon Lloyd's position. He went for like 60/911/5 or something, which is solid, but do you expect Thompkins to be able to handle NFL defenses - even the Bills - right from the start? Remember Stephen Williams? ... Anyways, the question I still wonder about...how are Vereen and Thompkins your FLEX choies? In week 1, This better be a 16 team league, otherwise...f***, you're screwed for the rest of the year unless Ridley gets hurt. Better start drinking your own piss. --- The reason I'd start Vick this week - and this week only - is because Cam is agianst arguably the best defense in the league and Vick is against a defense that still features Deangelo Hall as a starter. Sticking with my studs has cost me in the past. Thank you, I'm starting Vick.. Team records and scrubs don't matter for the preseason.. Targets and such DO Your opinion though, think whatever you want. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) I'm going to Badger you...it depends. Vereen is a far safer bet (especially in PPR leagues), but Thompkins has big play and scoreability. Let your matchup dictate it. ... Am I crazy for thinking about starting Vick over Cam this week? Washington D versus Seattle D Nothing you said here makes sense. Thompkins is the safer bet, but Vereen has more big play and score ability. Thompkins led the Pats in catches and was 2nd in targets this preseason. He will also be starting in a position that produced 911 yards and 4 TDs last season, so he could see similar production with IMO fewer yards and more TDs. As far as Vick and Cam goes, you have to play Cam. You don't ever sit your fantasy studs because of match ups. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) Why would anyone not start a QB in the flex spot? Im in 3 leagues where there is QB allowed in Flex. Its amazing to me that people dont target 2 QBs early. I have Brees/Luck, Brees/RG3, and Manning/Luck in all 3 of those leagues. Its going to lead me to a lot of wins. -

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 31, 2013 -> 07:40 AM) You know what's worse? Going to bed as the champion of your league by 0.7 points only to wake up and find out you actually lost due to a stat correction on a Danny Amendola fumble taking 2 points off your total score. My take went from $550 to $50 overnight. You know whats worse? In 2011 I was in both of my leagues championship games. My opponent? My wife. And I lost both of them. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 31, 2013 -> 12:00 AM) McCoy is going to get a ton of touches this year, I like him in that situation with Kelly. I also took MJD in a league and am on board. Where he's being taken (end 2nd round, early 3rd), he has 1st round potential. He led the league in rushing in 2011, and all signs point to him being 100% after the foot injury. And in a contract year. I also think Bowe will be solid. Andy Reid throws and throws and throws...and when they do, it's going to Bowe. Bowe's a WR2 with possible WR1 potential. MJD's age and coming off injury worries me about his prospect of returning to top fantasy form. I think hes more like a 1100-1200 yard guy 8-10 TDs which does keep him in that late 2nd early 3rd range but there are a lot of backs I like before him. Ide play Bowe at WR2 for sure. I definitely don't want him as my #1. Ive got about 15-16 guys ahead of him ide rather have on my team. -

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 02:35 PM) ? Anyone? Monitor the situation closely, if Bradshaw is a full go for week 1 hes an absolute start. The Raiders might be the worst team in the league. If hes iffy and only getting limited work id go with Johnson. The Bills are going to get thumped and will have to throw the majority of the game. The gamble of Johnson getting some catches in a blowout is more appealing to me than Bradshaw playing limited snaps in a game that will prolly be over by halftime, and in that case he wouldn't be out there much anyways. -

Bell Cobb, Wallace, T. Smith, Patterson, Dobson Cook, Sudfeld Houston D You have way too many rookies on that team. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 09:24 AM) Well, I might as well paste my roster from the big live draft I had over the weekend. Note - drinking beers and inputting rosters after a live draft is fun and not at the same time. I picked 10th in a 12 teamer. All TDs worth 6. 1 bonus point every 100 yards for rushing/receiving and every 100 yards past 300 for passing. QB Matthew Stafford - Will be better than last year, has to be right? WR Dwayne Bowe - Alex Smith doesnt throw to outside recievers, do the research. Bad Pick. WR Pierre Garcon - Decent, pretty much a WR2 and thats were you have him. WR Michael Floyd - I think he will have a good year, but hes not much more than just a guy for fantasy purposes. RB LeSean McCoy - Dont buy into him, he was lousy last year and hell never score 15+ TDs again. RB Maurice Jones-Drew - Again, dont think MJD gets back to the form he once was. TE Zach Sudfeld - Hell either be decent or worthless, but hes not going to blow up just because hes a NE TE. FLEX Ryan Mathews - Awful pick for round 3. Cant stay healthy, fumbles, and comes off the field on 3rd down. DEF who cares, but Tampa - Tampa is an excellent choice for week 1. QB Josh Freeman - Has looked awful in the preseason but was good last year. WR Justin Blackmon - Suspended almost half the fantasy season. WR Vincent Brown - Unproven, bad team. RB Bryce Brown - Good handcuff RB Jonathan Dwyer - Not much fantasy appeal TE Antonio Gates - Not much fantasy appeal anymore TE Coby Fleener - Decent Im not surprised with your mediocre WR core because you clearly took 3 RBs really early. But man, Alex Smith throws the the middle of the field or to RBs. That's why Crabtree didn't explode until Kaepernick took over. I dont think Dwayne Bowe has anything close to a WR1 fantasy year. Stafford throws too many damn interceptions and hes way more likely to throw 25-30 TDs than 40+, I do like him though in a 6pt TD league. Gotta get one of those high volume guys. Lesean McCoy and MJD are guys that I am just not high on. MJD is run down and McCoy had one year where he scored 17 TDs but he only rushed for 1300 yards. If it wasn't for that anomaly TD number hes no different than Frank Gore or present Chris Johnson and those guys aren't coveted fantasy RBs. This is about a C- draft IMO, might be worse if this league isn't PPR. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 07:37 PM) Need some advice week 1. Need 1 Flex and 1 WR to fill. RB Frank Gore (GB) RB Gio Bernard (@Chi) RB DeAngelo Williams (vs. Sea) RB Rashard Mendenhall (@ StL) RB Vic Ballard (@ Oak) WR Stevie Johnson (NE) WR Lance Moore (Atl) WR Chris Givens (Ari) TE Zach Sudfeld (@Buf) It's PPR. I think Gore is the obvious flex play but everyone is so down on him this year. Sudfeld and Bernard are tempting options. The WR spot is what I'm really struggling with. I have no idea. I wish I could play Sudfeld there. Johnson is the best but jesus they have the worst QB situation just about ever. Gore and Givens -

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 08:41 PM) The "haul" from the Angels will be B and C prospects. That's what Kennedy is worth. Also note that Angels farm is not strong. The haul from Arizona will be reduced by the value they lost because they lost Kennedy. Maybe they send us only 1 top prospect and the rest of the return will be from the Angels, but I'll believe it when I see it, because the net result of this is that we are paying no money, which also would mean lesser prospects. Who cares, even if Peavy stays for next year this team is still going to be bad.. get what you can for him.. its better than 12 worthless wins on a 70-75 win team
