  1. Good luck winning an arbitration case against him if he goes on to pitch 150 innings and is one of the top 3 pitchers in the league. Also, why on earth would he sign a 5 year extension worth $15 million per year when he could be looking at $30 million per year in 2 seasons?
  2. Hes not going to play 162 games. The avgs of 30 doubles and 20 HR's is based off playing 162 games. Obviously, he is capable of reaching those numbers without playing a full slate but when using that as evidence that its his floor, its kind of flawed because even if fully healthy he wouldn't be playing all 162 games. It just doesn't happen anymore.
  3. If he plays 162 games, yes he will hit 30 doubles and 20 HR's. That's not going to happen though.
  4. Yes, “recently” lol You also said his floor is 30 doubles 20 HRs and a .750 OPS when in 3.5 years thats more like his ceiling than his floor.
  5. How about the eye test?
  6. Crochet is also on pace to be one of the better SP in baseball this season. I think you can kiss the chances of a team friendly extension goodbye at this point.
  7. Has it? His first game was on May 17. In May he got 12 games with 10 starts. In June he has 13 games with 12 starts.
  8. I wouldn't get my hopes up for Julks, but either way he should be out there everyday to see if you have anything.
  9. He started out hot but is hitting like .196 with a .590 OPS in June.
  10. Welp Thorpes out, don’t have to watch this trash anymore.
  11. What a disastrous start for Thorpe. He looks awful.
  12. I tried to be patient, but Schriffen ain’t it. This guy sucks.
  13. I thought they should have resigned him. Obviously, that would have been a disaster. He had a 4.3 bWAR season in 2022, its pretty crazy that he didn't just decline he fell straight off the cliff at lightspeed.
  14. Im not sure you get anything more than we got for him holding out using hindsight. He is having a much better season than 2023 currently, but he is pacing out more like 2021 Cease and not 2022 Cease. Also, I would assume he would have slightly worse numbers on this team than on San Diego, so I consider that as well.
  15. Hey I just said I could see it. What I personally believe is we are going to be waiting quite a while before we see another playoff game for the White Sox.
  16. Depends on what happens with Robert, Crochet, and Fedde trades. If done right, yeah I could see them playoff competitive by 2027/2028.
  17. What was the average length of time from a 100-plus-loss season to a playoff appearance? The average time to the next postseason berth for one of these teams during the Wild Card Era -- we’re using that period for this question because since the implementation of the Wild Card in 1995, there has been more opportunity to reach the postseason -- was 6.6 years.
  18. Kinda pitching like one at the moment
  19. Minnesotas look real nice, apparently they debut tomorrow.
  20. He should have never been on the team to begin with, seems like it was just a product of the mindset that were going to fix all these defensive issues and this team will be 15 games better than 2023. Oof.
  21. Well, not everyone. Pretty sure there was 1 or 2 posters thinking they could push 90 wins.
