QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 10:59 PM) This sentence explains so much. I wasn't shocked in the least to see that from him.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 06:48 PM) Multiple people allowed children to continue to be raped in an attempt to protect THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM. Had the proper steps been taken by JoePa and Co. there would have been a huge black eye on the program from the time it was made public. So in essence by covering it up, and letting children continue to be raped gave them an advantage on the field by keeping the programs name clean and allowing them to freely recruit without this huge cloud hanging over their heads. Oh whatever, if they had done something immediately it wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad.

QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) Did you read the Freeh report? Nope, I dont really care. I just think that the heavy fine and exile of Joe Paterno from everything Penn State would be enough. I dont see why wins were vacated, its not like they had some advantage on the field. The only thing I can come of that was to hit Paterno again. Either way, the NCAA raped Penn State today.. it was kind of fitting.
-
I think just a fine should have been enough.. Why is the football program getting punished for something that had nothing to do with football? Hit them with the fine and remove all the Paterno stuff, thats really all that should have been done. At least they can transfer without having to sit out.

They're done. I think its asking a lot to expect Chris Sale to stay as strong as he has, hes gotta tire out at some point. Konerko has disappeared. Dunn is reverting back to his 2011 ways. Inconsistent pitching from the back end of our rotation. I am happy that they played as well as they have so far, I wasn't expecting it at all. I didn't expect them to keep it up without making some major moves but I think were about done adding big pieces. I don't expect them to stay in this, but it would be great to be wrong about it.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) I they could get a nice package for Dunn (probably a NL team), I'm all for it. I dont think Dunn has any value.. Hes hitting like .165 with a .307 obp since the beginning of June

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) X Men Origins: Wolverine derailed Deadpool so bad it isnt even funny. I think they are waiting for everyone to forget what they did to his character Thats why I want them to make his own movie, they did no justice to Deadpool.. it has to be fixed

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) When you cheer for him, you are cheering for his accomplishments on the baseball field. You are not cheering for him as a man, or a human being. If you can't make the distinction, you probably shouldn't ever cheer. When you boo someone, are you booing them as a man or a human being? Of course not; you are booing their performance on the baseball field. It works both ways, folks. I dont understand why this is so hard to get

I wonder how many of you are going to be cheering on Brandon Marshall this season

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) I dont think they expect some of the lesser characters to have the success of cap/iron man/spiderman etc, but I think Marvel finds it important to at least give some of them movies to see how they test with audiences. Im sure some of them will bomb and will not be touched again, but I think there will also be some surprise hits. Ant-Man and Black Panther arent as obscure as you think they are. Guardians of the Galaxy, that is pretty obscure. But, just like the comics themselves, these characters are there and there are writers/directors who want to tell their story. Dont get me wrong, im all for Marvel to keep pumping out movies because I love those kind of movies. I am just not all that interested in Ant-Man or Black Panther. Ide rather them come out with a Deadpool movie or get things rolling out faster for the movies im really anticipating.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 08:50 AM) Really? She was one of the bright spots of the movie, I thought she did a great job in the scenes she was in. Ugh. Her goggles that flipped up to look like ears, I couldnt stand that.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 10:25 AM) That's what he's saying. I'd heard about all of them, but (Thor especially) I had no idea what their origins were. I know, I was pretty much just agreeing with him and throwing in my own little note. I just dont think these obscure Marvel characters are going to have anywhere near the success that we have seen with whats already come out.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 06:37 PM) I think most guys in the 18-35 or whatever the main target age group all know SpiderMan and X-Men from watching cartoons as kids at the very least and knew about Captain America. Iron Man and Thor I don't think the casual fan knew their storyline but have heard about them. Its hard for any guy in that range to not know about Spiderman and X-Men. Before I even knew all about Thor I could remember him from that movie Adventures in Babysitting. Iron Man I think would at least be known by most people, even if you didn't know that much about him. Even with Thor, hes not just a Marvel thing. Some people could know who Thor is without even knowing he has anything to do with comics.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:16 AM) Ever read a comic book? Jeez. Watch something else, because your ending pisses in the face of everything Batman. It was weak Steve, and I think deep down you know it was kinda weak too but your love for Batman wont allow you to admit it. At the very least you can agree that really had no place in this movie. I guess I had higher expectations for this movie than you did. Like I said, it wasn't a bad movie.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) So what would have been a good ending to you or your best-case-scenario ending? ? I don't understand how anyone found this ending a fitting conclusion to the trilogy.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) And on the opposite end of the spectrum, you seem to be one of those people who can't be pleased no matter what. Im actually very easy to please Im sorry that After all of the build up and excitement, the ending just didn't live up to what I had built into my head going in. The entire movie wasn't a let down, the ending was.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 02:16 AM) The ending was very disappointing but I think you are stretching it a bit with ruined the entire movie. Overall it was well done just didn't live up to the hype or the quality of the first 2. No, I liked the movie a lot up until the ending. The way it ended, it was like it ruined the rest of the stuff that I liked about it. Thats how disappointed I was.
