  1. The last decade has been brutal, that's what happens when you tear it down to the studs to rebuild and the rebuild fails miserably. There were multiple problems that contributed to the failure. 1. The front office that built this team to get to a point where it needed to be completely rebuilt was allowed to stay and lead the rebuild. Ridiculous. 2. When the team showed it was taking steps forward in 2020, the owner hired his out of touch 80 year old buddy to lead this team instead of a qualified manager. 3. Its a marathon, not a sprint, and the White Sox went 100 MPH out of the gate and then fell over and died halfway through. They acquired premier talent on the front end but drafted poorly and never had anything ready to come up after the initial wave. 4. They never spent money like they alluded to. As a fan, hearing Rick Hahn talk about "the money will be spent" to me meant they would make meaningful signings to support a young core. This never happened, as they struck out on all big time signings they claimed to have pursued. They'll eventually be good again, or competitive. From 1996 - 2012 they averaged 84 wins a year, this is pretty much what I think of when I remember the good old days. 80-85 wins and at least passable to watch.
  2. You can make the argument this team will need new starters at C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CF, and RF next year along with 3-4 SP and an entire new bullpen.
  3. You need to be careful or you’re going to summon nardiwashere to tell you how ridiculous it is you don’t think the Sox can just sign a bunch of free agents and call up 5 guys and be a .500 team real soon.
  4. Pedro is just doing what hes told from upstairs. There is no other reason why he still has a job with how much of a disaster this season has been.
  5. Yeah, go look at the lineup and starter and rest easy my friend.
  6. Eesh, not hopeful that streak ends tonight based off that offering.
  7. Multiple people, myself included, have already said 2027 is realistic for getting back to .500 every team should be able to acquire players like that, the White Sox choose not to pay for those players. No Fedde doesn’t count. No Mike Clevinger doesn’t count. The attempt at signing Wheeler is the closest they’ve been signing one of those type of pitchers.
  8. lol ok that makes more sense. I’m on my phone, so not easy to respond in full detail as I’d like to.
  9. Sir you said 15 GOOD SP prospects. Now you’ve moved the goal posts to just 15 prospects. Your specialty.
  10. No, I’m suggesting that filling 12-15 MLB roster spots with minor leaguers from our system and a handful of B/C free agents for NEXT SEASON isn’t going to improve this club to knocking on the door of .500 especially if we trade off Crochet and Robert.
  11. Huh? I removed all the guys I didn’t think were good prospects. Do you really need me to write a paragraph why Drohan isn’t a good SP prospect? And please, don’t talk to me about prickish, you’re one of the biggest assholes posting here.
  12. Not incapable, they’re not willing.
  13. Fielding a complete roster full of competent MLB players, which isn’t going to be happening if your expectation is we just call up a bunch of prospects and sign mid to low tier FA. This is what has been happening this season and we’ll, you know how it’s going. This was your great plan to be back to .500 in a year or two. Now I remember you’re the same goofball who has this very same argument a few weeks ago and said there was a bunch of JR apologists on this board lol.
  14. Probably leave it there as far as real potential MLB prospects. You have a very strange idea of what a good pitching prospect is.
  15. That’s not what I said at all. I said if they don’t trade Robert, Crochet, Fedde, etc and only declined options on the obvious players they would have upwards of 15 roster spots to fill next season. Secondly, they threw 7.5 million per year at an unknown SP and it’s paying off. That’s great, but if that’s your expectation for filling out the rotation that’s not going to end well
  16. There is not 15 good SP prospects on this list my man
  17. Very low, did you just become a fan or something?
  18. I want to see your list, since im pretty sure I saw you say the other day we got a "Good young SP prospect" in the Bummer trade which was fascinating to me.
  19. The problem is, the White Sox aren't going to sign a middle of the rotation FA SP.
  20. Its bad, really bad. If they trade Crochet, Robert, Fedde, Kopech, Wilson Decline options on Maldonado, Stassi, Moncada, Jimenez Non tender Vaughn and Lopez Where is a competent MLB roster going to come from next season?
  21. Helps when you have a top 10 pitching staff.
  22. I was talking about next season, that wasn't 3-4 years down the line. It was just to show the massive amount of holes that need to be filled on this roster. And that was without trading those guys. Once they do get traded, its even more holes to be filled.
  23. The Sox starting tearing it down after 2016. They stunk in 2017, 2018, and 2019 finally getting back to .500 in 2020 but we dont even know how that full season would have ended anyways. You're looking at 2024, 2025, and 2026 as loser seasons pretty much guaranteed. I would be putting my money on 5 years if I was a betting man. Things could certainly change if they can get a haul for Crochet, Robert, and Fedde.
  24. Just assume they make no trades and decline options on the obvious. If you think were magically going to add 15 players to this roster that make significant steps forward between prospects hitting and free agency you're crazy. And this is with no trades assumed and Vaughn not getting non tendered. C - Korey Lee 1B - Andrew Vaughn 2B - NO ONE 3B - NO ONE SS - NO ONE LF - Andrew Benintendi CF - Luis Robert RF - Corey Julks DH - Gavin Sheets SP - Garrett Crochet SP - Erick Fedde SP - NO ONE SP - NO ONE SP - NO ONE BULLPEN - Kopech, Wilson, Leasure, and then a bunch of NO ONE
