QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 08:55 AM) I thought it was quite funny, and we were back to the basics instead of super over-the-top. It was over before it started, though. My favorite part was at the end, where she was like "Ill make us some fish sticks" and Dennis is like "Um, I don't think we even have fishsticks" and then she immediately whispers "I bought some"

Women in the locker room

Im still trying to figure out what she was doing out of the kitchen.. -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) We should hire their hitting and pitching coaches. Might be a start to break up their little dynasty. Its hard to have a dynasty when you never win anything important..

There is nothing wrong with Ozzies rotating DH idea.. the problem was the guys we rotated were Mark Kotsay and Andruw Jones Also, im tired of hearing about Jim Thome in every other post around here.. hes had like 250 ABs and is gonna play in somewhere around 105 games or so.. There is no way Thome is the same player here as he is with the Twins right now.. His production would have forced him into playing way more, and wearing out as the season went on OR he would have been rotating and it still would have been Kotsay in there half the time as well..

Twins vs Sox 7:10 Start---Liriano vs Danks
T R U replied to jasonxctf's topic in 2010 Season in Review
1st and 2nd, no outs and we are down by 1 and the last few posts in here are wanting Ozzie fired immediately.. he can go ahead and take cooper with him.. and apparently Danks is garbage you guys crack me up -
QUOTE (Nyx81 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 12:17 PM) My arms are jelly. If I ever can do dive bombers like that chick in disc 1, I would be very happy. Man she doesn't even do them right, you are suppose to go under and then back under.. she goes under and then just goes back to the pushup position.. the other two dudes and Tony go under, and then back under.. Also, I have now gone through the chest/back DVD 3 times and I am already sick of hearing Tony talk about the world famous karen pot stirs..

QUOTE (IceCreamPants @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 11:52 PM) I am telling you guys right now. The Bears are going to wind up being the luckiest team in the league when we talk about it 16 weeks from now. Its the Rally Calvin charm they hold right now. Not trying to say this because its what I want to happen but I really think its going to be an odd year for my Bears. the Bears almost/should have (depending on who you are talking to) lost to a team that has 2 wins in the past 2 seasons and hasn't won a road game since 07.. a win is a win, no doubt, but im not sure how anyone that is a Bears fan can come away from that game feeling good.. well aside from Cutlers performance

Robinson already almost has as many rushes in two games as he did the entire season last year.. Aside from the fact that Crist being out pretty much won the game for Michigan, there is zero chance that Robinson will be able to keep that pace up over the course of the Big 10 schedule.. eventually, that load is going to catch up to him.. you think he is going to carry the ball 30 times for 250 yards against Iowa? Ohio State? Wisconsin? yeah right.. Michigan better get what they can now, because their best weapon is a 190 lb QB who has to be the QB and the RB at the same time.. hes going to wear out, there's just no way he can carry the ball that many times a game and take all those hits and keep it up.. -
QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) Does anybody remember last year, like week 4 when everybody was sucking Sanchez's dick because the Jets were winning? Not because he was looking impressive, just unwarranted hype. Oh you bet your ass I remember, their fans wouldn't let us hear the end of it.. Even though statistically he was awful..

QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 08:23 PM) Man, I hope they don't job Miz out to Bryan. He bores the snot out of me. Well that US Title has to come off him somehow..

Mark Sanchez is the worst QB in the league.. his arm makes Chad Penningtons arm look like Dan Marinos.. Every single Jets loss this season will be sooo sweet because of all those loud mouth jackasses they have on that team.. especially that fat f*** Rex Ryan.. J-E-T-S SUCK! SUCK! SUCK!

So I went to Uproar tonight, Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed were awesome, and we caught wind of where A7X were going to be after the show.. so we went, they weren't there and about 30 mins later I turn around and M Shadows and Mike Portnoy are at the bar.. it was badass.. When we were leaving the rest of em were coming in and I did the head nod "whats up dude" and Gates said "sup buddy" and topped off an excellent night.. Now Bullet for my Valentine next Saturday and I will have had quite the metal week..

lol SIU -
AKA he threw nowhere near 100
-
I would assume he would throw 110 mph
-
disagreed, I think Manny intimidating a walk in the big inning was the difference.. otherwise that could have been Mark Kotsay up there and the inning would have ended..

QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 10:44 PM) Well the defending champs are off to a nice start. I don't know if I would call it a nice start, but playing the Vikings with no receivers didn't hurt em..

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Enjoyed Machete. Damn, why does Michelle Rodriguez have to be such a bad actress and why can't she be a tad more pretty? Her body is killer. really? man I think she is hott

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 05:54 PM) By the way, how is everyone doing? TRU? LZ? Rock? Our young lady friend? Everyone still having at it? I have been off and on the last month or so, as I have been dealing with injuries and the like. Had to take a week off after the above-mentioned basketball tournament as my fat ass teammate stepped on my foot and crushed my big toe. Back at it this week, always feels so good to be getting these workouts in. I was really sore the next day after doing each DVD in the area that it targeted Like on day 1, the chest DVD.. the next day my chest was just swollen and sore for a few days.. but the worst came after fridays leg day.. aside from all of the lunges you had to do, at the end of the DVD is the calf routine.. well while I was doing it my calves started knotting but I said f*** it and just pushed through it doing all 75 calf raises while holding my dumbbells.. that was a bad idea the next few days after that I was in the most excruciating pain I have ever been in in my calves.. I literally could barely walk, it took me about three tries to get out of bed or get up from a sitting position.. it was really bad, just now 4 days later its finally just down to a little soreness instead of unbearable pain either way, I can definitely tell my arms are already bigger and I think I am making good progress and am loving it

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) Soriano probably wouldve helped us win a few more games in 2006, but that doesn't mean he was worth giving Brandon McCarthy up for. Overpaying for a player is just that, it doesn't matter what that player does afterwards, because at the time of the trade you paid too much. It's a philosophy that will hurt you longterm. Soriano would have been a rental, we still have Jackson next season as well.. And I still think you are way ahead here on Hudson.. He could fall flat on his face next season with a full MLB rotation spot, you never know.. its too hard to say this was a bad trade right now..
-
QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 10:48 AM) Using "It's an easier league" to dismiss Hudson's success is a copout. Not having to pitch to a DH is an advantage, but people have looked at projecting an ERA moving from the NL to AL and it's around a 0.4 difference in ERA. Even if you tack that onto Hudson's NL ERA, he'd have something like a 3.70 ERA in the AL. Moreover, Jackson was getting his ass handed to him in the NL...Hudson has significantly outperformed what Jackson did in AZ just to confuse matters. Jackson looks like a good pitcher who is under control for one more year at $8M. Hudson looks like a good pitcher under control for 5 more years and very cheap for 2 of those. It was not good trade. Probably not the worst that KW has made over the last decade, but it just wasn't a good trade. it depends on what Hudson and Jackson do next season before you can call this a bad trade.. Hudson looked like crap this season for us, Jackson has been elite when we have needed it the most.. We may be further back if we had Hudson starting in place of Jackson..

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 02:35 PM) WTF? Um, they are ranked #3 and are actually FAVORED in the game. On the road, mind you. You sure about that? I could have sworn that Va Tech was favored.. -
They are still getting paid when holding out.. they get fined out the ass though.. Revis had something like $600,000 in fines after he ended his holdout.. Albert Haynesworth cashed a $21 million dollar check when he was a camp no show..
