  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) I just finished it and felt like the ending was a bit disjointed. You finish your task, then do another hours worth of bulls*** quests, and then you're given a semi-predictable ending. Still pretty solid though. I'd give it an 8/10. It's not the greatest game ever, despite some of the reviews. Very buggy, boring and repetitive at times (cattle herding = AWFUL). But, the parts that were done right were done really well. The landscape visuals are amazing, especially during rainstorms. That was probably my favorite part. I'll definitely grab any DLC they come out with. Rockstar games always have mission that are incredibly boring/annoying.. I hate racing the most, although it was easier on horseback than it is in a Porsche.. The worst part of the game for me was near the end where you just worked as a farmer for like 5 missions in a row, there was literally no action for a good chunk of that section.. It got to a point where I was just like holy s*** im done herding cattle and shooing crows away from my crop, when can I blow someones head off?
  2. If LeBron stays in Cleveland then he really is a diva There was absolutely no reason to have this LeBronageddon summer if he is just going to stay in Cleveland.. He would have already resigned if that was the case.. whats the point of going through all of this? There is 100%, without a doubt, better options for him to play for than Cleveland.. If its about winning, Cleveland is not where he needs to be.. they cant beat Orlando, and they cant beat Boston.. Cleveland has literally no room to add anything of importance around him right now.. If the Bulls get Wade, or Wade AND Bosh that's just another team that Cleveland isn't going to be able to get past in the East.. Hell Miami might even end up with Wade and Bosh.. So basically if LeBron is looking at this, Boston will more than likely be returning the same team.. Orlando is still there.. the Bulls could potentially pass Cleveland up.. The Knicks may even make themselves a little more competitive depending on how their offseason finishes.. maybe its the Heat that bump themselves up.. I can tell you the one team that wont be improving, that's Cleveland.. If he stays in Cleveland its all about not hurting peoples feelings in the home town.. If he decides to stay, I don't think there is anyway he can justify that there is a better chance of winning there than in any of these other places courting him.. Wade isn't going back to Miami unless they get another piece for him, that's the whole reason he isn't locked up there already anyway.. Chicago is the PERFECT scenario for LeBron.. Even if all they got was LeBron, I don't see how they aren't the favorites to come out of the East.. And the crazy part is, even if they sign LeBron there is STILL room to add another big piece to that team.. there is just no way that he can explain why staying in Cleveland was a better choice than going to the Bulls.. and he pretty much will just be proving that he is an attention whore and its not about winning.. he has a chance to win multiple championships with a very, very good team.. If he stays in Cleveland, I hope the Bulls gets Wade and "Blank" and win the title next year so LeBron can sit there kicking himself saying "That coulda been me, at least Akron loves me"
  3. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) If I'm going to spend $20 million on someone, I want to say that, without a doubt, they are one of the best in baseball. Can you really say that about Prince Fielder? If he performs like last year, yes
  4. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) A guy with an on base percentage of .370 or better, who is capable of hitting 20 to 25 homers, and driving in 80 to 90 runs would be fine. A player of the caliber of Dunn or Fielder is really not necessary, if the pitching holds up. So who is this other guy that's going to hit 25 HRs drive in 90 runs and have a .370 OBP?
  5. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:47 PM) I wouldn't be too sad about it.. the Twins getting Cliff Lee will almost assure us of getting a somewhat big name.. its what KW does
  6. QUOTE (opwhitesoxfan @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:42 PM) Add to the 6 million they had available for Damon and the money they will safe after next year when the finally rid themselves of Linebrink and extra ticket sales and you can make a decent offer to extend Prince. Fielder would be the highest paid player on our team, that extra 6 million and losing Linebrink just isnt going to make as much of a dent into his extension as you think
  7. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) If we did trade for and extend Prince we'd be paying about $51.5M to Peavy, Rios and Fielder in 2012, doesn't sound like a great idea for a team with a payroll hovering around $100M and possessing a weak farm system. Which is why I said what I said
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) I didn't know they promoted you to head accountant. Congrats! cute
  9. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) What kind of OF would you rather have? Pierre / Rios \ Upton Pretty much
  10. QUOTE (opwhitesoxfan @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) If the Sox can pull off the Prince deal they could afford to sign him to an extension. Don't forget the Sox found an extra 6 million for their offer to Johny Damon. The extra seats they sell in a playoff run will also hlp pay the bills. Fielder will cost way more than this organization is going to be willing to pay, extension wise
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) I'd put BJ in RF BJ Upton isn't even hitting better than Juan Pierre.. I understand he has talent and a tremendous skill set, but ide rather we get someone who is already hitting good than to acquire BJ Upton for potential..
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) Q to DH putting who in RF, Rios?
  13. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) I'd kill for BJ Upton to be on this team. That package of tools is rare. How do you see that working, bench Pierre and move Rios to left?
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:17 PM) No, I meant play by play audio, like the audio feed of the game. Thats what I thought you meant, but I thought it would be obvious that you couldn't listen to it for free so I was not sure..
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 07:44 PM) I want fielder and cliff lee Gavin floyd, vicedo, and some low level specs for lee Hudson, flowers, and some low level specs for fielder never happening - I know - but that would make me cream Yeah it would also be sweet watching them both leave as Free Agents too
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) No, click the at bat thing on the scoreboard and you can get the highlights for free. You just don't get audio. There was audio on the highlights I saw

  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 09:39 PM) I bet no one he's talked to thought Wade would give the Bulls a 2nd visit either. You don't meet with a team twice just for the hell of it

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 10:23 AM) A little off topic, but one of my girlfriends in college tried to get me to watch the Notebook with her and her roommate. It was a weeknight and didn't have anything else to do, so I figured I might as well. I had every intention in the world of sitting through it. Ive seen the Notebook but I cant remember when or with who it was, im pretty sure I was in shutdown mode when that happened as well..
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Allright so if you want to dream, here is the scenario for the bulls to get 3. 1) The bulls must get a trade exception in the Hinrich trade, it has to be large. For the sake of ease we will say the Bulls have 12 mil in trade exception. 2) The bulls need to move deng in a trade that will bring them to the right number for 2 max contracts under the salary cap. 3) Sign Wade/Lebron max deals, you are now at cap. 4) Trade exception + a combination of players that = Chris Bosh max contract x .9 (I believe that is the rule, it may be a different formula but I believe a team over cap can trade as long as salaries are within 90%) And there you go potential starting line up: Joakim Noah C Chris Bosh PF Lebron James SF Dwayne Wade SG Derrick Rose PG -- Scrubs And Im out hopefully the bulls read this post and pitch the 3 of them. There is a possibility, no one else could offer this. If they make it happen they will be gods. (haha zoom at least give me credit you bastard) That lineup isn't even fair, I don't see how they would lose a game
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) They are saying 9:30 but it looks a bit optimistic. Its been raining for two days straight here in Houston, im surprised its all the way up in the Dallas area too

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 07:41 PM) I can't be the only one who got dragged by their sig other to see Eclipse? I actually liked the movie a lot more than New Moon. I remember when the first one came out, and I had no idea what it was.. I was going to go with this girl, but it fell apart.. I am glad that I have never seen any twilight movie, but often think about how I almost willingly went to see the first one because I had no idea what it was..
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) You live 6 miles from George Bush Park. Everywhere in Texas is 6 miles from George Bush something
  24. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) I am working. I can talk on the phone and read at the same time. Im a 5 tool worker! lies, there is a noticeable decline in your performance while on Soxtalk at work
