  1. Ide try to trade Konerko, Thornton, Jones, Putz, Jenks, and AJ Save some money and possibly get back some things that may help down the line.. ide rather see Flowers, Hudson, Viciedo, Torres then the current crap out there anyways
  2. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) Here's what I'm unclear about: okay, so he's a goner because who doesn't want a good catcher, etc.? What exactly would we get in return for him that would make it worthwhile getting rid of him? Or is it really only just to dump him before the 5/10 kicks in? We have Tyler Flowers to consider, ide like to see what we have in him.. if you can get something for AJ, you should do it.. especially in a down year..
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:58 PM) I think AJ is still our best option at catcher as Flowers is not performing at AAA, but my feeling is several Sox will be gone either within the next 5 days or 3 weeks depending on their status. This off season coud see Ozzie and/or KW gone also. I would prefer KW be sent packing AJ is hitting .219 Isn't Flowers already like 24? He needs to come up and be given a chance to show something, and honestly, I don't see there being much of a dropoff between the two.. If the person playing catcher for the White Sox is going to hit .200 you might as well go with Tyler Flowers to see if he is going to stick here.. move AJ and get SOMETHING for him..

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) hmmm maybe I plead the fifth s*** drunk but at least that's YOUR wife and not some random person on a message board
  5. If AJ gets traded, I will most certainly expect Konerko and some relievers to follow him out of town before the deadline.. If AJ is the only one who gets moved, I will be very disappointed..

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) He knows. It was his primal nature that was accurately called creepy. Its one thing to jokingly comment and then seriously be creepy.. I have seen more posts on the seriously creepy side than the joking side..
  7. I voted no. He SHOULD be traded, but I bet that he doesn't..
  8. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) Yeah, that would be great. lol haha, it really isn't.. ide still wanna watch em.. i gotta listen on XM radio, ide much rather be watching it or go to the games
  9. I wish some of you knew what it was like to not live there and be able to watch every game or go to the games..
  10. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 01:06 PM) Kotsay's not the reason this team is bad but that doesn't excuse his .292 wOBA (horrible) and 5 for 35 hitting with RISP given that he has more PA in the 5 hole than anyone else on this team. He's been awful and his retarded play on the field has cost us more than a few runs, his baseball IQ this season has been non-existent. I swear Kotsay has come up with the bases loaded at least 4 times from the 5 hole and I honestly cant remember a single time he did anything with that opportunity..
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 12:14 PM) Omar Vizquel would be fine if he was a defensive replacement, but he's getting way too many ABs. As for Kotsay, he has 6 homers, and a whole bunch of nothing else. the walks arent bad
  12. ? Rios never said he didn't want to be traded.. all I saw was him mention his limited no trade clause, but I never saw him say he didn't wanna be traded.. Was there more to that somewhere?

    Cheap Car Insurance

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 04:46 AM) i used to think the same way when believe it or not someone caused an accident with me on purpose.. long story short, its snowy and sleety outside, guy cuts me off a split second before the light even turns green, then a couple blocks down SLAMS on the breaks and there was nothing i could do to avoid the contact, though the contact was so small. i got a ticket and a couple months later the guy tries suing me for 10k over medical bills. thank god allstate had my back!! haha, well down here it is never snowy and sleety outside.. in fact, its almost always perfect driving conditions year round..

    Cheap Car Insurance

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) Im actually looking at quotes now. Allstate with bare min coverage= $1032 for 6 mths State Farm with bare min coverage= $450 for 6 mths Liberty Mutual with max coverage= $812 for 12 mths I don't know how insurance works I know I need full coverage because I am financing, but I want it to be as bare minimum as it gets.. Unless you are a terrible driver, car insurance is the biggest scam ever.. I don't see why I need to pay $2,000+ a year for something im not going to need.. its been almost 10 years since I had an accident/ticket, and that was literally one month after I got my license when I was 16.. Thats like $20,000-30,000 dollars spent on insurance when I have ever only needed a fraction of that money..
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 12:25 AM) I dont have any inside information, but reading between the lines it seems that Nebraska has an invite, but that MU does not at this time. Nebraska puts the big 10 at 12 and then they are going to wait and see on ND and their other choices to decide exactly where they are going. MU would put the Big 10 at 13, which is no more desirable than 11. There also is the question of whether the big 10 would prefer 7 team divisions (that way all teams could play every 4 years maximum) versus 16 where some teams will almost never play. I personally do not want a big conference because it will most likely mean Wisconsin not playing some teams, and what makes the Big 10 is that all team great is all teams play each other pretty regularly. I think if Nebraska splits, then every college in Texas joins the Pac-10.. that will then force Notre Dame into joining the Big 10 as well, and they pick up Mizzou to make it an even 14
  16. QUOTE (Special K @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:03 PM) Guillen made this bed of pure garbage (No Dye, No Thome, Pierre, Kotsay), let him sleep in it, and pray it's only disastrous enough to end his tenure as manager of this squad. No. Kenny is the one who made this garbage roster. His job isn't to get the players Ozzie wants, its to get the BEST 25 players that he can to fill out the roster. If you are going to blame Ozzie, you need to have equal blame on KW as well.. Ozzie isn't the GM, if KW didn't think this roster could get it done he could have done something about it.
  17. If anyone needs to go its Kenny And yeah yeah, we all love him and think he should never lose his job because he lucked into a World Series Title in 05.. but this team we have right now is all him.. whether hes taking orders from Ozzie or not, he is the one who ultimately makes this roster.. And I am pretty sure that the current roster was not 100% him, and that's his own fault.. Honestly, what is Ozzie suppose to do? We have to start guys like Vizquel and Kotsay.. only a handful of guys are performing good or in line with career numbers, everyone else isn't even in decent territory.. its bad.. Kenny should have just put his foot down and done what he wanted, its not like Ozzie was going anywhere if he didn't get the players he wanted, hes already said he would never quit..
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) 68-94 That 68-94 could look a lot worse if we start trading away veterans.. then again, it could improve too
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) Agreed, and you know I would have been on here telling certain posters that those wins were worthless I see what you did there
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) Location, location, location. Richard's pitching in the most extreme pitcher friendly park in a vastly inferior league. Swisher's in a lineup that sports multiple HOFs, all-stars and MVP candidates. It still sucks to see them go off and be as good as they have been when they didnt do crap for us..
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) I instantly thought the same thing. For all I know, Kenny may go and get Alex Gordon to fix our Mark Teahen problem. At least that isnt cringe worthy.. i wouldn't mind Alex Gordon
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) Because the way to fix a problem caused by a former White Sox reliever is to acquire another! Hey that sounds familiar.. don't we do that with KC?
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) I'm amazed at Rios stolen base numbers more than anything. Why? Look at his past seasons SB numbers..
  24. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) I'll be cheering for the Sox of course, but he is fun to watch. I get that but some people seem like they want to see him rip us
