  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) I think there is more of a chance you will see Herbert-the Milkman-Perry back at 3B in the next couple weeks then Beckham up here. I agree With our 2B/3B options playing like crap, who needs our top prospect that is hitting .430 in AAA to come up and help this team. Ide be 100% against that move fa sho.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 02:49 PM) Tiger Woods? He said biggest name in sports Golf is not a sport, its an activity
  3. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ May 31, 2009 -> 06:19 PM) He can't, he's busy playing MLB 2k9 Dont have MLB2k9 Also do not care for twitter, but since this is the video game forum and he obviously was posting info on it, just requesting he add the XBOX stuff as well. Which he did now, preciate it
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 31, 2009 -> 12:21 PM) So Twitter has pretty much taken all the fun out of e3. Lots of leaks. PSP Go 3.8" screen 43% lighter than previous version 16 Gig memory Bluetooth support No UMD Memory slot for extra memory capacity VIA MicroSD Downloads games and movies Out this Fall Metal Gear Solid (the Kojima project), Jak, Little Big Planet and Gran Turismo coming for PSP) PS3 slim coming New "Mario game" coming for Wii in 2009 (that could be anything) Wii Fit 2 coming Micro's entire conference has been leaked but I don't have a 360 so I don't really care. Interesting stuff on the Sony side. PSP is the first system to go with exclusively downloaded titles. I guess that's the future. Could you post the 360 stuff for us who are smart enough to own the best system out there?
  5. Ill take the team with the big man, Magic in 6 over LA. They let LeBron score like 40 points a game and didn't really have a problem in this series, so I am not too worried about Kobe running this series. Gasol and Bynum are also softer than Charmin so I am not too worried about them either. I like what we've got in Lewis, Howard, and Turk. Also that they can shoot from 3 or just take it to the rim. So hopefully, we continue to play well and take this thing because there is no one I despise more than Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.
  6. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ May 26, 2009 -> 03:42 PM) Make a trade for a stud righty. (I really want Oswalt) Problem with Oswalt is Houston wouldn't be giving him to us like SD was ready to Peavy. And yes, I consider giving up Richard and Poreda and two possible meh PTBNL a give away for a pitcher of Peavy/Oswalt calibur.
  7. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ May 26, 2009 -> 11:31 PM) I'm not going to say this series is over because if Dwight Howard gets another technical foul, he's going to get a 1 game suspension. If he were to get it in Game 5 and the Cavs win, they go back to Orlando without Howard and have a much better chance to win, and force a game 7. This is all hypothetical, but another technical for Howard can certainly happen. That tech can be rescinded I believe after they look at it, seeing as all he really did was make a fist pump after getting an and 1. I didnt really see the need for the Tech there as he didnt go out of his way to taunt AV, but who knows.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 26, 2009 -> 10:11 PM) I still voted football specifically because of that (voted football and basketball, we can choose more than one). The officials still blatantly favor offensive players, especially quarterbacks. Right, but in a poll that is "Who is the most swayed by superstars" the NBA is far and away the winner. I don't think there should have been multiple choices, but since there are its not like you're wrong or anything.
  9. No one should vote football The only time there is shady business in football is rule changes Ex. All the new rules so no one can touch Tom Brady
  10. I wonder what kind of hijinks LeBrons puppet will be getting into now
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 26, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) The NBA's fixing is f***ing blatant tonight. Didn't do them any good tonight anyways.. LeBrons puppet can officially STFU
  12. LeBron falls down and gets "fouled" Lookin like overtime

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 24, 2009 -> 10:59 PM) Terminator Salvation Review, by an actual fan of the franchise. Hi, my name is Steve. I grew up with the Terminator... Terminator 2: Judgement Day was one of the films that defined my youth. It was excellent. From this, I went back and watched the original Terminator, and enjoyed it. However, Judgement Day was numero uno. Then came Terminator 3. It was just a movie... a disappointment, but it was Arnold, and it had some nice moments of cinematography. Enter: Terminator Salvation Having heard the negative reviews and going in with expectations moderately tempered, I sat in awe as the opening sequence blew me away. However, I expected this, having heard that this is the best moment of the film. Quick aside... Christian Bale used his Batman voice in this movie. Anyway, some of the holes that folks have pointed to, such as were unfounded as the plotline delivered perfect explanations. Beyond that, they wonderfully paid homage to the past films ( ) Anyone who is a fan of the franchise is going to come away quite happy with this movie. I thought it was downright awesome, and when it comes to films, I can be pretty picky. I kept waiting for this movie to start being less awesome, and it didn't. Sam Worthington definitely showed up Bale in this film... his role was awesome. However, Bale fit the role perfectly. **** out of ***** Yeah, seriously, it was that good. Don't listen to some critics who don't know a damn thing about the franchise. Listen to me.
  15. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 24, 2009 -> 10:11 PM) Thank you, that's 2-1 to us. Some BS foul calls on Lebron as per usual, but we stuck through it, and showed that we can win without Dwight on the floor for long periods. If we keep Williams and West under control, I like our chances going forward. SHOULD be 3-0 but LeBron hits that toss up 3.. oh well, I am happy with 2-1 and Cleveland is just not that impressive.
  16. what an epic win Taking one of these first two is beyond huge, and I still believe Orlando wins this series.
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:37 AM) would suck big time if this thing is held up by some preconceived notion about playing for Ozzie. He should remember this is the manager who let his starters throw complete games in the playoffs. Might be a good time for Ambassador Thome to pick up the phone... Ide imagine the Padres have had a talk with him about how much dealing him would help the club, and would appreciate if he accommodates that. I also wouldn't be surprised if KW has talked to him and slurped him as well. He will still be getting paid either way, and I really hope he reconsiders his NL stance and gives it the green light. Our bullpen is great, and at least we have a track record with the offense.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:30 AM) I still haven't seen that fact sourced, and why would they scratch him now when his start isn't until Friday? I just remember seeing that, also don't know if that is true or not.
  19. As hard as it is to believe we would get Peavy.. Why would they just scratch him from his start if he wasn't getting traded here? I hope that he reconsiders and waives his NTC to go to a team that wants him. Wishful thinking..
  20. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 20, 2009 -> 08:32 PM) They expect anyone to believe Big Show will beat Cena in a submission match? I'm not sure I've ever seen Big Show use a submission. Oh please This is whats going to happen Show is going to pound on Cena while he tries to put the STF on about 15 times before finally super-cenaing up and getting it on to make show tap. I guarantee thats how it ends.
  21. Anyone else see the current card for the next PPV?? Steel Cage Match: (WWE Title) -Randy Orton © vs. Batista Ladder Match: (World Title) -Edge © vs. Jeff Hardy No-Holds Barred (I-C Title) -Rey Mysterio © vs. Chris Jericho Submission Match: -John Cena vs. Big Show Samoan Strap Match: -Umaga vs. CM Punk For some reason, it looks pretty familiar but I cant put my finger on it...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 19, 2009 -> 10:19 AM) I would also be in favor of burning the series for folks for a nominal fee as long as you dont get me sued. I would be interested in that All you need is the DVDs right and then you use your own bands and stuff correct?

  24. QUOTE (BobDylan @ May 18, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) Never played the earlier Fallouts. This has nothing to do with what I'm about to say. Earlier I defended the VATS system (I think, and if I didn't, I would have.). I can excuse a clunky fighting system in the American/Euro RPG if they get the old school RPG elements right. Oblivion did it right up until they decided that AI would level up with you. There was an abundance of things to do on the side of the main quest. Fallout 3, there wasn't. The side quests did not pay off unless one got the body armor that they couldn't use until 40 gameplay hours later. There were no guilds to join, no special weapons to find that greatly benefited the player, no epic quests that were agonizingly boring (think NOTR in Final Fantasy 7). It was simply: get ammo, blow heads up, find pop, avoid the fast bastards with huge claws. A post apocalyptic world should've been about exploration (something the world they presented easily could have easily featured), but was not. Not one single f***ing time did I enter a cave or a dusty room with blown up desks and shelves and think, "Maybe I'll find something awesome in here." Nope, instead, twelve shotgun shells, a half broken rifle and maybe some drugs. Nothing else, ever. Pretty much. You were sure to find the same crap in every place you went. I didn't need 500 lbs of scrap metal.
  25. QUOTE (Nixon @ May 18, 2009 -> 12:53 PM) Most of the stuff I hated was story/world related. Still wondering why the hell Dad bothered leaving Project Purity/The Citadel/Rivet City, growing up sheltered in a dying vault is somehow preferable to the reasonably secure Rivet City and the main hub of the BOS? Really? What the f*** were the Mutants doing in Vault 87? What the hell was the point? Just to have Super Mutants in Fallout 3's east coast? How about that in Fallout 1 + 2 and grand total of TWO nuclear devices were set off and Fallout 3 has them dispensed like candy. A lot of the game just smacks of 'not getting it' and pretty much throwing out all the themes that made the first two Fallout games so interesting. /lore nerd rant off The shooting mechanics were also pretty boring. Mostly because 99% of enemies just ran right up to you and swatted at you til they died. FUN! Ramping up the difficulty didn't help either as it just made them bullet sponges + nerfed your weapons. FUN! Mercifully, you could bypass most combat by just hitting the 'win now' button, aka VATS. Games have advanced to the point that we're capable of portraying huge worlds in striking detail but the game play is still barely a step above "OW MY BALLS" (Gears o War/etc) ... I was pretty underwhelmed by Fallout, mostly because it was exactly what I expected. I am looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas since it's being built by the ex-Black Isle guys. Ive never even seen a Fallout game before this one, so I cant go into as much detail as you have. However, I agree about the shooting mechanics as they were poor.
