  1. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:40 PM) I think Maclin will be the best receiver in this draft. Fast, scored high on the wunderlich, elusive... I'm pissed he went to the E-Gals. Why did they have to trade up for this pick? Would the lions really have taken him at 20? yeesh that would have been ugly. Not necessarily the Lions, someone else could have tried to jump as well so when your guy is in your grasp you make the move.
  2. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) 1. Freeman put up weak numbers in a bad defensive league. 2. He completed less than 50% of his passes in 4 games last year. Not consistent at all. 3. Being a big body and having a huge arm means nothing if you dont have the head for the game. 4. The Bucs have a lot of holes on defense. I'd rather the Bucs addressed those issues. With either Leftwich or McCown passing, the Bucs have enough weapons with Winslow, Antonio Byrant, Ward and the other RBs to be competitive next season if the defense could get better. 1. Wrong. Numbers weren't weak at all. 2900 yards 20 TD 8 INT, 404 rushing yards 14 TDs. He accounted for almost 3500 yards and 34 TDs on a pretty bad team. 2. What about the 4 games he had over 70? Career comp% in the high 50's so I don't see what your issue is there. 3. You dont know he doesnt have the head for the game, thats yet to be seen. 4. They have a LOT of holes, so what does it matter.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) The problem is as Young said on the air, his talent didn't translate to the field. Yeah at Kansas State where he had nothing around him Guy has all the tools you want in a QB, its up to Tampa to develop him now.. I liked it
  4. Ayers to Denver There you go Balta, still got a top rated DE while getting a RB they really wanted
  5. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) f*** me Whats your problem with Freeman? Top High School recruit, big body, huge arm I think its a smart move, especially for a team that has absolutely nothing on their roster unless you think Leftwich is gonna be reborn
  6. The Browns are just not good at trading down in drafts apparently
  7. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) His schtick got old for me 10 years ago. I'm still flipping channels for Erin Andrews' interviews, though. GIGGITY!
  8. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) Just an aside, but God bless the NFL network. Its heaven to watch the draft without having to endure Chris Berman! Whats wrong with Chris Berman? I prefer Kiper and McShay and I like Steve Young.. not a big fan of Keyshawn but I can tune him out.
  9. I voted for 10 because that was the highest option or else I would have picked 15-20 until they both retire This is a REALISTIC poll, and I will only give a realistic answer.. they would also go 82-0 every year as well, since were sticking with realism here.
  10. I love Cushing.. Glad he went to Houston so I can watch him every week
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) Well, on this one, I think their coach has made a mistake. That defense was awful last year. Their solution is to pass on a guy like Orakpo and grab a RB in the first? They needed a RB, they got a pretty good one.. Guys like Cushing and Maualuga are still on the board and they are about to pick again, if that was their only pick ide slam it. They can still grab a good player again here in a min. Maybe they didn't like Orakpo..
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) Because they really could have used the guy the Redskins took right after them who no one thought would drop out of the top 10. Obviously not, or they would have taken him
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) I love it, Washington didn't dick around. They strolled right out there and made the pick. Great pick for the SKins, imo. HOw long were the Skins even on the clock? Seemed like 45 seconds All I know is, I love it.. speed it up im ready for Miami
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Really? The Broncos drafted Moreno there? He probably would have been there at their 2nd pick. I think that's why they took him there, they are gonna pick again in 6 picks anyways so why risk it?
  15. Eagles arent gonna be too happy now Wells still there for em
  16. Alright, I need Buffalo to make a bad pick here
  17. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) You mean Shaun Hill isn't a franchise QB? At least hes serviceable for a while Crabtree would be a big help for them and hey, there will be some good QBs available next year if they bomb anyways. Oh, and the Raiders are such a waste of a franchise.
  18. Well, looks like Crabtree to SF I see no way they pass on him.
  19. Crabtree wont get past 10, so it doesnt matter

I'm a health nut to the highest degree. what do you guys think of deepdish pizza that consists of only veggies, chicken and minimal cheese? Am I being a fat bartolo colon f*** face by eating this? I want to knowss/ A health nut wouldn't be eating deepdish pizza at 2 in the morning fool
  21. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 01:44 AM) This is a list of the 25 WRs drafted in the 2nd round since Anquan Boldin was drafted in 2003. Besides Greg Jennings and Vincent Jackson -- 0 pro bowls combined -- who on this list would you qualify as a number 1 receiver? I can't find one. Donnie Avery looked good at times, Eddie Royal was great as a rookie but they are both undersized and are probably 2nd options at best. This isn't to say that the Bears couldn't find a good option in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on (berrian was a 3rd rounder) but Boldin is the real deal and they don't have to develop him to find out if he can be a number 1 option. He was a number one option in 2003 (B.F. before Fitzgerald) with Jeff Blake and Josh McCown throwing passes to him. If the deal is Boldin for a 2nd round pick -- I make the deal I wasn't trying to say that you can easily grab a star receiver in the 2nd round, you just made it seem like you couldn't. You can find a good WR anywhere in the draft, that all depends on your scouting etc. and some luck. Its not just limited to the 2nd round. Either way, I think it would be smarter for the Bears to keep that second round pick and work on their defense if they are going to get serious about making this team an elite threat.
  22. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 12:19 AM) Generally, I understand the notion that you don't trade picks for players. If the Bears were offering a 2nd or 3rd Rd pick for Donald Driver, I would jump on the "don't do it bandwagon." However, when a guy like Boldin becomes available you have to re-consider that philosophy given the context. (Presumably) the Bears would be trading 1/2 picks or a player off their roster for a proven PRO BOWL receiver. If you're going to tell me that you'd rather take a chance that maybe the 6th or 7th receiver taken in the draft will turn out to be better than Boldin... than I simply do not see where you are coming from. There is a marked difference between what the Redskins have tried (Champ Bailey and a 2nd for Clinton Portis WTF?... signing Deion, Bruce Smith, Jason Taylor past their primes) and what the Bears could do -- add a 25 y/o franchise QB and potentially a 28 y/o x3 pro bowl WR at the cost of 5-6 draft picks. Yes. The Bears will have to find ways to supplement their roster outside of the draft, but the level of talent they would add to the roster would be too good to pass up. If Boldin can be had for 2nd and (Vasher, Corey Graham, Harrison, Anderson, or non-core player) than you do it. I understand what you are trying to say, but for what its worth Boldin was a 2nd round draft pick himself.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 11:53 PM) I agree with all this. And I'm one that totally recognizes (and I probably overvalue them) how precious draft picks are in the NFL. But with Cutler aboard now, our priorities have changed considerably. If we can get a weapon like Boldin, who's only 28 and should have another 3-5 solid years left in him, you do it. Unless they get the defense right it doesn't matter if you add Boldin and Fitzgerald, they prolly wont be winning anything.
  24. Im pretty sure I just heard Buster Olney say that Egbert took one for the team tonight and after the game was sent down. Anyone else hear anything about this?
