  1. HBK/Undertaker was well worth it Not to mention I thought the Hardy match was solid as well, and the Jericho bit wasn't bad either.
  2. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 4, 2009 -> 07:47 AM) If you dig through the thread (and I think Dbaho would have my back on this one) I admitted I was wrong and Orlando was the real deal. That was probably back in December I admitted I was wrong. I wasn't trying to pick on you directly there was just a ton of anti magic material and I thought this was the easiest to quote and bring up. IIRC, they were like 2-3 to start the year and Zoom and a bunch of people were just goin on how they were average and not that great.

    Quick Question

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Apr 4, 2009 -> 03:43 PM) So they don't try to track down which shop you went to, just say you paid a gearhead $100 to change it. That's what my gf did when her alternator had to be changed awhile ago. Didn't take long at all. Make sure you say the battery was ok so thankfully you didn't have to buy a new one. This will also buy you another excuse if you miss work again. You can claim a dead battery and bring up how the time when you have to change your alternator you should've changed your battery as well. Good call, I doubt they would try and track where I went anyways. I got the info I needed and should be good to go, much appreciated guys.

    Quick Question

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 4, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) got my alternator changed a month ago for 350 bucks. the part cost 225, labor was 125. google says the cheapest alternator(which I assume you would get ) costs 143.95. So just under 275 for you Excellent, thank you very much. And is it believable that they fixed it in one day? I "brought it in" at 2:30 on Friday and will be going into work about 5:30 or 6:00 tonight

    Quick Question

Alright, so yesterday I made up some story about my car being messed up so I could skip work. So now when I go in today I need to know how much a new alternator generally costs so I can have a story when they question me about what was wrong and all that crap. Basically, I just need to know how much getting a new alternator would roughly cost. I drive a 2000 Chevy Impala if that matters any. And thank you in advance for helping me to continue being a sub par employee
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 4, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) I don't know about Eli, while I don't believe the Giants currently have any intentions of replacing him obviously, he is still pretty inconsistent and after two mediocre seasons might be gotten rid of. I see him as something of a Chad Pennington. Except Chad Pennington has a career QB rating of 90.6 and Eli has a rating of 76.1
  7. QUOTE (rangercal @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) Orlando and Chicago are both nothing more than average, so it applies to both teams. lolz I remember how everyone was talkin s*** about Orlando at the beginning of the year. He rangercal, can you still name 16 teams that are better than Orlando?
  8. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 10:06 PM) Yes he is. Hes a franchise QB in the terms of someone who is without question going to man your team and there's really no one you are going to get that would unseat him. Hes never won a playoff game and is starting to turn into a celebrity QB. It depends where you draw the line on what defines a franchise QB. Cutler is sub .500 in his career and has never had a winning season, but many still consider him a franchise QB as well.
  9. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, he was lookin right at me as we were in line. That sign guy was there, the one in the red hat. Im sure youve heard of this guy before. HHH and HBK, it was hard to get up close this was the best I could get of them, plus they werent signing. This was just some random dude who was there in full wrestling attire, I named him El Diablo. Rhodes and DiBiase again, he is signing my little sisters cell phone. And in case you didnt know, he has a gay ass nose piercing. The best I could get of Edge, he was cheered very loudly. When they asked who do you want to win Cena was boo'd bad, couldn't hear any cheers. Same with Big Show. Edge then said "Ill take the pop here but you guys better boo me Sunday." Eva and Candice Michelle. I tried to touch Candice's boob when we got up there but I was unsuccessful. Blurry for some reason, but they were pretty hott. Big ass Orton poster, it was pretty sweet but the flashing lights above it blurred it. I am going to Axxess again on Sunday so I should get some better pictures. Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Charlie Haas, Mark Henry, Funaki, Jillian Hall, Rosa, Vladimir Kozlov, Jack Swagger, Tommy Dreamer, R-Truth, and Hurricane Helms were also signing as well. Needless to say I wasn't waiting in line for any of those scrubs.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 04:47 PM) There's also a rumor that Orakpo from BC was on something at the combine. BJ Raji.. Orakpo is from Texas
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:49 PM) They see him as the longterm answer. Tru, maybe you don't you are entitled to your opinion. If you ask me there aren't many QBs in the league I'd build my team around moving forward before Jay Cutler. and to me thats worth the extra picks we gave up. What? I never said he wasn't a long term answer. I thought it was great for the Bears because of how bad they needed a franchise QB. I just like what Denver is set up for now.
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:43 PM) If I'm not mistaken the Bears still have their 2nd rounder. And what are the Cards asking for Boldin... a 2nd rounder. I think it'll be a mistake to give that up though (esp. seeing Randy Moss was had for a 4th rounder) but if the Bears "wanted to" they could get him. It might be stupid for them to do it, but they "could." lolz Where the hell did you hear that? Theres no way Boldin gets traded for just a 2nd rounder.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) If they really want to piss off the rest of the league, they should go get Boldin. They cant, they don't have the picks to do so.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) Yes, but it's just hard for me to allow you to skirt around like the big dog claiming the Broncos won the trade. Given the PR nightmare and the unknowns, if anyone lost it was Denver. Why is it hard for you? I have said numerous times in this thread it was a good move for the Bears and something they needed. I don't think the Bears lost at all, and they now have a franchise QB.. they needed this deal. I don't see much of a PR nightmare, Denvers not some huge media market. I will take all those picks and Orton though and be perfectly happy about it. Regardless, I don't think anyone lost this deal.
  15. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) Wasn't there an argument a few pages back debunking the credability of the Pro Bowl? Yes someone did, however he was a 2nd team All Pro.. you cant debunk that.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) By saying it's a big win for the Broncos, you imply it's a loss for the Bears. Thats not true at all. I think the Bears have won here too, I just like what Denver got better.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) OF COURSE IT DOESN'T! I didn't say that. It does mean, however, that it's expendable given the fact that a 25 year old franchise QB was on the block. For series. Yes, along with two first round picks.. I think we have established the Bears gave up a lot but got something that they have needed forever pretty much.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) Anyone who isn't twinkling with giddyness right now just can't be a Bears fan (DBAHO - Cowboys, TRU - Dolphins... who else?) And where have EITHER of us said that the Bears lost this or this wasn't a good move for them? I haven't, I don't recall seeing DBAHO say that either. Relax Steve, we aren't trashing the Bears.
  19. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:26 PM) Bears had an extra 3rd round pick to begin with. That doesn't mean the 3rd they traded is worthless.
  20. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) And Ryan Clady was argubly the best RT in the league last season. Clady was a Pro Bowl/2nd team ALL PRO lineman as a rookie. That was not thanks to Jay Cutlers mobility Steve.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) the Bears have exchanged their first rounder for Jay Cutler, and have a comparable draft the rest of the way to anyone else. It's flawless. They exchanged a 1st and 3rd this year for Cutler, and a 1st next season. While I somewhat can understand what you are trying to say about the draft here, you seem to be acting like losing two first round picks is no big deal.
  22. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) True, You said Denver won easily, which means that the Bears got fleeced. Other people have said the Bears got ripped off, etc. How else should this be interpreted? If your stance is that this trade may work out it may not, then I bet most people would agree. That's the nature of trading/ Yes, I do think Denver won easily. That doesn't mean I think the Bears are losers here. Other people have said the Bears got ripped here, I never said that. I have said nothing but good things about the Bears getting Cutler. I just think that having two extra first round draft picks, the extra third, and a capable QB to fill in for the time being is going to be a great return in a few years.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:02 PM) Look at teams with great QB's and you'll see that in general they are able to turn out more good WR's as a whole. The Colts with Peyton, Denver with Elway, Packers with Favre, etc. The Bears offense will adjust, look at Turners history with a good QB (Kramer was the closet to good and he had Conway and Graham being the only duo in Bears history to have 1000 yard seasons in the same year). This guy is a perfect fit for Turners system, imo. Will the Bears throw 40 times a game, hell no, they have a great RB too, and the duo should work phenomenally over the next few years. This is a tremendous deal for the Bears and as far as the Broncos are concerned they f***ed up to piss off Cutler, but I fully believe they got fair value. Both teams won, but I give Chicago a bigger win given the overall need and the intangibles of the trade (ie, the statement made and the state of the franchise) and the overall fact that the Broncos as a whole were stupid to piss of a potential elite QB. Cutler could end up failing miserably and I'd still say it was a brilliant deal for the Bears given the circumstances. Clearly I hope he goes on to win a number of superbowls and I think he might do exactly that in time. Yes, a good QB makes all the difference in the world. Chad Pennington threw for 3,653 yards (Career High) with Ted Ginn Jr, Greg Camarillo, and Davone Bess. There is no doubt that Cutler is going to improve other players performance with his mere presence under center.
  24. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) Well he also had a downgraded QB throwing to him. It didn't seem to hurt Wes Welkers performance.
