  1. I would LOVE that trade It means that there is better likelihood that a QB falls to us at #9
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) My God, that offense was beautiful under Cam. Cam's problem at IU had absolutely nothing to do with the offense. I was a student with season tickets during Cam's years, and except for the occasional Michigan or Wisconsin game, Cam always made it entertaining. But after a few seasons of Cam's dominant offense, I think everyone at IU was begging for a defensive player or two, and Cam just couldn't recruit them. A top 50 defensive staff would have probably won the big 10 as good as Cam's offense was, but he couldn't even get top 100. Maybe he'll be better if he just ignores the defense and hands it off to Thomas and Jayson Tayler and their coaching staff, but it's hard for me to explain how abjectly bad Cam was in recruiting on defense. Thats the beauty of the NFL, he doesn't have to recruit per say because for the most part the NFL isn't structured like college football where you can be at a bad program and never be able to get the big recruits to come. Dom Capers did an excellent job as defensive coordinator last year and they should be a good unit again next year. As long as you have the money to pay the players, they are gonna come. Also, they aren't going to be giving him total control like the past coaches have been given here (At least I haven't heard that, Finheaven has been down today and I haven't got the full details yet.) Which means Randy Mueller is going to be able to make the personnel decisions as far as looking for talent and what not so I am very excited about having Cameron here and I think hes going to finally be the guy to get us back on track.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) I agree with you there. It'll take a long time before we're talking about IU competing for Big Ten championships, if ever. However, Coach Hep's done a good job improving this team from year to year in his two seasons, and it will almost be a disappointment if the Hoosiers don't get a bowl game this year. That's saying a lot, considering what kind of football program IU has (or doesn't). I can take solace in them at least taking steps in the positive direction. Yep.. basically what I was getting at was a lot of things I heard from Dolphins fans was they didn't want Cameron because he failed at Indiana (something like 18-37 IIRC) but I don't see how any coach could go there and be successful (Like contending for titles not just 1-2 games over .500) What I was impressed with was the offense he was able to generate there, they had a top 10 rushing attack and he was able to do some inventive things with his offense (Randle El)
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) They've got some decent recruits coming in, and they were one win from a bowl this last season. We didn't lose much from this past season's roster. The Hoosiers are bowling this year; book it. They were one win away from being bowl eligible, but, I am pretty sure that we aren't going to see any coach turn Indiana into a very good football program, and I am only saying this because of the competition in the Big 10 not as a knock against Indiana. They got crushed in a lot of those games.
  5. Man this is crazy and also a little scary because I remember one time I was bored and wanted to see if I could chug a gallon of water without stopping.. I chugged half of it and had to stop because it felt like my stomach was going to explode, then I started feeling sick and had to lie down.. crazy

    Raw Eggs

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Containered egg whites are fine, it's just they are more expensive. I'll use my two dollar dozen eggs and 50 cent egg separator. can't beat it. You should go check out Walmart, down here I can get a box of 5 dozen eggs for 4.50 its a pretty sweet deal considering the insane amount of eggs I eat.. Also.. red is right, its better to mix 1 or 2 regular eggs in with your egg whites.
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 09:03 PM) So, after that rainy last game with Cameron where we won the ol' oaken bucket, as a Bills fan, I'm not going to enjoy rooting against Cam. But hey, he couldnt' do jack sh*t with the defense while he was at IU, so I guess I can tolerate it. Thats why we have Dom Capers as Defensive Coordinator, Cameron isn't going to have to mess with that and we will still be a top defense like we are almost every year. The thing I like best about Cameron is the offense that has come with him as a coach. Sure, Indiana sucks but they always suck and chances are they always will. However, he had that offense going. He was responsible for turning Antwaan Randle El into an all american. He has also helped develop guys like Brees and Rivers and Gates and so on. Defense is not an issue here, Capers is running that and doing a damn fine job at it. Were going to have a competent offense now though, and Buffalo is most likely losing Nate Clements which brings a smile to my face.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) Everybody slobbing on the Bears? Who? We're the worst 13-3 team ever. That's what the experts say. I was talking about the Saints, thought that was pretty clear if you would have read the entire thing.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 07:16 PM) Actually the Bears' pass defense is better than their run defense. I was just going by their rankings for the most part
  10. Look, most of you guys are die hard Bears fans so im not even gonna argue with you even though you are wrong.. You can sit there and talk about "What ifs" all you want but the facts are the Bears are not "Clearly" better than the Saints. I am as sick as the rest of you listening to everyone slobbing them but the fact is they arent just gonna roll over and let the Bears waltz into the Super Bowl. You could also look at it like this... the 2nd ranked offense scored 24 points on the Saints D while the 18th ranked offense scored 24 points on the Bears D. Eh, it doesnt matter anyways itll all be settled Sunday.
  11. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 06:19 PM) I don't know why I should be surprised by the overwhelming opinion of "experts" picking the Saints, but I am surprised by their reasoning, especially the constant knock on the Bears D. Yes, it's not as good as it was. But what about the Saints D? Seems to be overlooked in all the discussion. It used to be that you always picked the better defense in playoff time, and the Bears are clearly still a MUCH better defense than the Saints. Whatever, it will make the Bears 37-17 NFC victory all the sweeter. I wouldn't say they are clearly a MUCH better defense.. its the 11th ranked defense vs the 5th ranked defense.. Both of them pretty much give up the same amount of yards per game (294 to 307) and the ppg is only about a 4 point difference, its not like its lopsided in one direction here. If you want to talk about stuff being clearly much better, I would say the Saints offense is clearly much better than the Bears offense. With the Bears weak point being pass defense (Its still good, but they are better against the run) and the Saints being the #1 passing team in the league I wouldn't be shocked to see New Orleans win this game.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 05:19 PM) TRU, can you go a little deeper in the Brown talk? Only reason I ask is I have him in a keeper league, and I'm 95% that i'm keeping him, but I can keep 4 out of these 5. R.Brown-Tory Holt-Larry Fitz-Lawerence Maroney-Marc Buldger Buldger seems to be the odd man out, but Brown was a big disappointment for me, and Ricky might come back correct? Yes, Ricky Williams' agent has already said that he will return to Miami, of course if they want him which im pretty sure they will. However, I still doubt thats going to change Brown from getting a big chunk of carries per game. There were numerous times this year when Ronnie would just be pounding off 5-7 yards per run and all the sudden they just stopped running the ball and decided to throw it. They strayed away from Brown so many times and I blame that in part to Saban completely inept to the offensive side of the ball, and also the fact that Mike Mularky wasn't allowed to run his own system but to run variations of Linehans system they had run the previous year. Brown has only had 3 games in his career where he had over 25 carries and what a shock, we won all 3 of those. Now that we have Cameron I think that we are going to have much smarter play calling and I think that he isnt going to abandon the run like Saban/Mularky had this past season. I really think Brown is going to flourish under Camerons play calling, Cameron has produced prolific offenses in San Diego the past 3 years and I think Miami has just as many weapons as San Diego has. Fantasy wise, yeah hes been a disappointment in his two seasons but ide say thats mostly because he was only getting around 15 carries per game thus far. If they can get him the ball 20-25 times a game every game theres no reason he cant put up 1500 yards and 12-15 TD's. Hes also an amazing receiver and SD used LT a lot in the passing game which should also boost for Brown this upcoming season. Finally, Cameron is reunited with Hudson Houck who was the OL coach in SD before coming to Miami. They have worked together before and I think if they bring in a couple players for the OL and since there is familiarity there between the system it should be another thing that helps Brown out. I really think hes going to have a big year next year, hell he had 1,008 yards this year in 12 games with poor OL play and pathetic play calling.
  13. Cam Cameron is the new Dolphins head coach.. We have needed an offensive minded coach for quite some time.. I am excited about what he is going to be able to do with Ronnie Brown, they need to just pound away with him Rowand, how you feel?
  14. Man, I LOVED Jerichos debut.. the pop he got was amazing, still gives me chills when I watch it
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) She's up there. There is something about Candice that drives me crazy though. I think it is the vixen she plays. Don't get me wrong, I like Candice too.. Sometimes though her face just doesn't look right. However, I must say Torrie Wilson as Miss USA is pretty damn hott
  16. So anyone else agree with me that Maria is the hottest Diva?.. CM Punk is a lucky SOB
  17. I bought the ECW Blood Sport DVD a while back and that was a very entertaining DVD.. The first part of that one looks bad ass.. not so much WWECW though haha
  18. Oh man, Rhett Bomar is in my Raquetball class.. I think I am gonna give him crap about his OU shenanigans
  19. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Watching the game last night I dont know what the hell OSU was thinking. Their defense must have watched the Bengals play the Colts because Ive never seen DB's play so far off and watch as Florida ran every play in front of them. As for the offense they decided that they wanted to prove they could be an SEC team with 5 WR's even after Ginn went down. Now Im gonna have to hear about the SEC for another year, when this loss was 100% Tressel. Not sure what he was thinking, but some times you just have a really bad day. Dude, a 41-14 ass whoopin cant be ALL Tressel.. Florida was still a better team regardless
  20. Ide also like to add Florida should send Ron Zook some sort of thank you for the National Title they won tonight.. Almost all of the starters were his recruits
  21. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 02:36 AM) He's not going in the first round. Bowl/championship games can move a player up or down a lot. Vince Young was probably a first rounder last year, he had a great game and goes 3rd overall. Smith goes in the 2nd round. Oh, Reggie Nelson was held on Ginn's punt return Oh I know, he wasn't going round one BEFORE this game anyways so it doesnt matter
  22. This game is over, Ohio States confidence has to just be getting crushed with the way Florida is sticking it to them..
  23. Hopefully this game will continue to show why Troy Smith will not go in round 1 (cough) rockraines (cough)
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 8, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) He's one of the most natural heels I've seen in a long time. The sad thing is he has better mic skills than 90 pct of the wrestlers. Prolly because he has had experiance with real mic skills. I am not going to expect a professional wrestler to dazzle me with the mic, but I get what you are saying. I would just say K Fed has an advantage over them, either way I hope they keep him around
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 01:19 AM) Carpenter will develop into a good pash rusing LB you just watch. He may take a season or two, but all in all, he is better than AJ Hawk who was drafted before him. Carpenter wont be better than AJ Hawk, he could possibly become a good LB but better than Hawk? Thats not happening, Hawk had a great rookie season and showed signs of being a very good LB
