  1. QUOTE(fullcollapse @ Oct 12, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) i just quickly scanned the last page or so of this thread, so if this was already brought up, sorry for being lazy. what dosage of anabolic steroids is considered abusive? what amount would be considered to be "safe?" and how much steroids would you need to see a significant difference in muscle mass? would a safe amount of steroids cause enough of a difference to really beef someone up? Depending on the cycles your running.. If you run your cycle, take the time off you are supposed to, take the right amounts you are supposed to you arent going to detroy yourself.. Even using a small amount of steroids will increase your muscle mass just because of how much it magnifies certain natural things in your own body.. like it has already been mentioned before though there are a ton of different steroids now that you can use for different types of gains
  2. QUOTE(ptatc @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) This is simply not true. Arnold may not die as early as some but the steriod abuse will catch up to him. The retired NFL players are the prime example. One of my favorite teams the Steelers were the first known abusers. Look at the results. There have all sorts of stories of them going nuts (Holmes and his turnpike shooting spree. mike webster and the driving spree), needing organ transplants (steve courson) attempted suicides (tunch Ilkin). Streiods abuse as with any other abuse will kill you. People with money can "buy" time in many cases with experimental thing that most people cannot afford, but don't let that fool you, the steroids will either kill your liver (ben johnson), enlarge your heart (steve courson) or give you a brain tumor (lyle alzado). It will get you in one way or another. ^ from Wikipedia Like I have been saying already, you use them properly and dont abuse them and you arent gonna die.
  3. They need to move Cena to Smackdown and Booker to Raw.. Cena is lame, but man Booker was hilarious
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2006 -> 12:06 PM) A lot of people wind up "Dying" from steroids, in the same way that people wind up Dying from AIDS. They are terrible for the body...especially in doses that athletes take. They don't kill you directly, and neither does AIDS. But they weaken the body tremendously, such that its much easier for something else to come along and kill. Yes maybe those who abuse them.. but comparing steroid use to aids? come on, thats not even close
  5. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 05:50 PM) Bringing this up reminds me of Ken Caminiti. What steroids will do to a guy. More like drugs.. if you dont abuse steroids you will not die from them We should see if we can sign Bonds to play LF for us, hopefully he takes a pay cut!!
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 06:32 PM) They're still in first place. This is true but I told you they would come down which they have and ide say its more likely they dont finish first than it is they do.. I still you man
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) To be technical, he didn't have an official at bat. He had 4 plate appearances. Qwerty and I were talking about this last night. I didn't think the streak should continue, because he played a game, and didn't get a hit...but the rule is what it is, and I understand it. With no ABs, it doesn't count against you. I agree with this.. The streak should be over, he played in the game and didnt get a hit.. Hitting streak means hits in consecutive games played, which now he hasnt done
  8. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Hey I wanted to personally congratulate some of you who pointed out the Tigers' flaws back when they were winning every series, it seemed like every game. They were winning so many I couldn't conceive of them struggling like they have. As a reminder, who out there was proclaiming the possibility (probability) of a Tiger collapse? I wanna know who on here I should be respecting more. Good calls to those of you who predicted Tiger woes. p.s. They ain't dead yet of course, but they have sucked of late. I was! In your face Kalapse, I told you
  9. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's up 732 Keep it up Bonds
  10. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) Dammit T R U. Combine dat s***. "T R U Tank." Do it. Its up to Tim
  11. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) can my name be changed to Goober thanks And I would like to be changed to Tank Goober and Tank are Tim and I's nicknames.. so I hope this can be done
  12. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:18 AM) Are you serious?? How can like this guy?? He's a cheater, and he's the biggest dick ever Because hes badass and one of my favorite players.. I like the guy
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 06:48 AM) Then why take them? If he has the natural ability to hit 73 HRs, hit .370 and walk 230+ times in a season why would he even bother risk long term health problems, going to jail and tarnishing an already hall of fame career by taking an illegal substance? Its like saying anyone can take HGH and become an All Star baseball player..
  14. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 01:06 AM) Fixed. Hard to believe this wasn't even his best season, and he will probably win 20 games. That's baseball for ya. I think he has been better this season than last year.. just some bad starts at the very begining otherwise he has been dominating
  15. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) Hoffman might get the record this year. Same w/ Biggio. The Big Unit will probably have to go into 2008 to get 300. Sheff will probably also have to go into 2008 to get 500. BTW - Big Frank is now at 481 Theres no way Biggio gets to 3000 this year.. he needs 84 hits in the next 20 some games.. so unless he goes on a freakishly streak (4.2 hits per game) itll have to wait until next season..
  16. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) not as clutch as BARRY BONDS AND HIS SINGLE SEASON RECORD 73 HOMERUNS IN 2001
  17. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) yesssssssss... tim you are so clutch
  18. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) Yeah, the improved eyesight is key. You can see the pitch better, and with the added muscle, you can wait a little longer, allowing you to see it even better. This is what allowed THG to go yard 73 times in 2001, while still getting all those walks Congratulations, you can hit the ball further now.. you still have to be able to *HIT* it before it can go anywhere and it doesnt matter what you take nothing is going to help you do that any better than you can naturally do it yourself.. Seeing the ball? maybe, but even then.. you still have to be able to hit the ball for the "steroids" to be of any use and even before all this happened Bonds had a great eye anyways
  19. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 05:25 PM) THG hits # 731 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! yesssssssss!!! Come on Barry, youre almost there.. keep showin em why you are the greatest of all time!!!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) #55 and #56 have both been launched out of the park tonight. He is now 6 homeruns away from breaking Roger Maris' single season record of 61 homeruns. too bad he will be 11 behind the REAL record of 73 my friend
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) Yeah, he has played 2 games. IMO, watching Sweeney last night, he impressed the hell out of me with his approach, his batting eye, and the swings he took. He got a little unlucky, but still did his job to knock in a run by grounding to the right side. He looks much better than BA when he first came up, and I really think the kid should stay and get some solid playing time. I agree rock Also the answer to your trivia question is Kalapse

  23. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 08:29 AM) But saying "there's no chance" means that you feel somewhat strongly that you are right on the matter. I'm curious how you came to that opinion. Because despite his strong stretch I just dont think that he is going to be able to get to .240 or above.. hes 1 for 10 in september and I just dont think that hes gonna get there.. maybe theres no chance wasnt the best of words to use, I just dont think its gonna happen.
