QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) He is a third gen wrestler? Who else besides Bob? Did his grandfather wrestle as well? My opinion on Orton is that WWE wont let him go until he literally forces them to. He is a pretty damn good wrestler, he is cocky, good looking, and incredibly athletic. I dont think Vince wants to drop him and watch him waltz over to TNA and help make even bigger competition. Basically I think Vince is freaked out by another Monday Night War scenario. There has been quite a large contingent of out of work WWE wrestlers making their way to Florida to play in that little tent they have set up down there. Dixie Carter has been rumored to be trying to get a regular touring schedule for TNA, which will make more money for TNA, which means more money for the wrestlers. TNA is absoloute crap All it is, is WWE/Out of Wrestling castaways... STINGS BACK!!! WHOA SCOTT STEINER!!! NO NOT JEFF JARRETT!!!!!!!! Point in case, WWE doesnt re sign Christian.. he becomes TNA World Champion like 2 weeks after he is out of WWE.. Yes, the same Christian who was jobbing in WWE is now the TNA Champion.. That should be enough right there. The WWE will continue to pump out young talent to replace people they dont want.. BUT, I hope they see that letting Orton go would be a mistake, hes my favorite wrestler and I dont want to see him on TNA.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) Crede has almost twice as many AB's w/ RISP though. That's not to say I don't like Crede, I'm pleased with how he's been playing. Yeah I am also not tryin to say I dont like Crede, but he had a good game yesterday

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) Josh Reed isn't much of a 3rd receiver. I think it's pretty much set in stone that Buffalo is gonna friggin suck next year. ^^^ And for everyone who doesnt know, he is a Bills fan The Dolphins sig is for miami being better than them last year.. we had a sig bet

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) You haven't spent much f***ing time here yet have you? Take a step into the first few pages of the gamethreads. Some of those entries would make Duke Lacrosse players blush.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) When the injury first happened, the best guess was that he'd be back at the midpoint of next season, but since then, you're right, all of the news we've heard has been pretty good, "ahead of schedule" stuff. I don't think Miami would have given up a 2nd rounder if they thought at the time he'd miss the whole season. Not when Brees was still available. The only way this is true is if DC hit some sort of major roadblock in his rehab. Which I doubt.. I mean hes been in shorts and a tshirt throwin bombs on the practice field.. walking around WITHOUT a limp.. I seriously doubt that he is not gonna be able to play at all next season, and I expect him to be there on opening day UNLESS they hold him out depending on how much training camp he misses if any

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) ProFootballTalk.com hears QB Daunte Culpepper may miss most of 2006. Rehabbing from knee surgery after tearing his ACL, PCL, and MCL last season, Culpepper initially felt he'd be ready for the start of the upcoming campaign. However, there have been recent reports he won't be able to play at all this year. The Dolphins have pursued Joey Harrington and Tommy Maddox as insurance policies and currently have only Cleo Lemon and Brock Berlin, who's in NFL Europe, on the active roster. PFT is full of s*** Culpepper is ahead of schedule, he may not be ready for the opener but theres no way he misses the entire season

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Did you ever get your hand stepped on by someone wearing cleats? That'll do it. Nah never been stepped on.. I was always one of the faster players so they were never really close plays.. but I get what you guys are saying I was thinkin more along the lines of simply just sliding into the bag and breaking a finger from that
-
Well you guys can be happy with his .1 something batting average, but im not.. Those numbers could be even better if he was hitting Never questioned his glove though, nothing wrong there

QUOTE(KJean @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 09:52 AM) I was just wondering if anyone had any information about Crede having an appearance/ autograph signing this Saturday somewhere. I think I read about it on here, but then again I could be making it up. Thanks! It would be nice to see Crede make an appearance at the plate this season.. geez what is goin on with some of our hitters

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Thank God. Sox win 4-3. Jenks makes me s*** my pants now. Why because a hot hitter right now got a hold of one? Hell be fine

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) The carry the gloves so they'll hold on to them while attempting head first slides. It reduces chances of breaking fingers. I dont understand how you break your finger sliding.. Who is going into the base sliding with their hands mashed into the ground flat? I havent figured that out yet.. I always assumed everyone just slid with their palms somewhat up, at least thats how I slid
-
Ide send them Anderson for him thats for sure

Since the Sox just won the world series I am not gonna add them onto the list.. Miami Dolphins (I would literally kill someone to have this happen) - - - - - Illini Basketball - Houston Astros - - - Orlando Magic - Houston Rockets - Houston Texans - Kansas State Football - - Colorado Avalanche (They got two recently so I am not as pressed to see them win another)

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) If someone offered them the #2 and #3 picks, I think they'd still probably take Bush. Why, they dont even need Bush.. Furthermore, he is not going to be the superstar player everyone thinks he is.. He cant run between the tackles, I think he measured in at the pro day at like 5'11 206, something like that.. With the Texans offensive line, he will get hammered.. DD however has gained over 1,000 yards every year hes played.. He is also a very good reciever out of the backfield.. Its stupid to take another RB and pay him #1 money when you are perfectly fine at the RB position.. OLine is their biggest need by far -
QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) Yeah, that is kind of stupid. I'm pretty sure that there's a "hold all runners" button, though. If I end up no liking 2k6 after a month or two, I might pick up a used copy of MVP '05. Is MVP supposed to be some sort of a continuation of the Triple Play series? Both are made by EA, correct? Yeah but triple play was PS1 and I never really liked it that much.. You can find a used copy of MVP 05 pretty cheap as well

QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) Haven't purchased a baseball game for several years (I'm more of a Madden guy) and haven't had time for games in general over the past few years, but I received a $40 gift certificate for Amazon.com and decided to give 2k6 a try. I've only played it for about 4 hours but, FWIW, here are my initial thoughts of the PS2 version... - I was somewhat disappointed in the graphics. They remind me of the crappy 2k1 game that came out on Dreamcast (the one with Pedro on the cover). Overall, I'd say that 2k Sports is about four years behind the curve. The graphics aren't BAD, mind you... just not as good as they could be. - The audio is better. Miller says some stuff that doesn't make much sense, but that actually adds to the realism IMO. I enjoyed Jeanne Zelasko making fun of the Cubs in the pre-game show. - I really like the pitching controls. The pitch selections seem to accurately match what the individual pitchers feature in real life. The hitting, on the other hand, is less spectacular. - No Brandon McCarthy on the Sox roster. Grrrrr! - On the other hand, the batting stances and pitching motions of the individual players are well-mimicked. The Cell is accurately-depicted as well. - Pitchers get overly-nervous is save situations. Yeah, I realize that they're trying to mimic reality, but they took it a bit too far. In the real world, Bobby Jenks has SOME command with a one-run lead in the 9th. - The one thing that really irritates me is the way that the CPU outright screws you once you take the lead. It seems that whenever I'm up by a couple runs in the 5th or 6th with an opponent on base, anything that I throw that's remotely out of the strike zone becomes a wild pitch. For some reason, I usually end up throwing multiple wild pitches in such innings. It's complete bulls***. After getting screwed by the CPU, I actually managed to pull back into the lead in one of the games. The CPU then forced four singles off of Jenks in the top of the 9th to tie. Thome hit what should've been a walk-off homer in the 13th, but the CF ran up the RCF wall and snagged it. Complete bulls***. I don't mind this kind of crap in the advanced modes, but all of what I described happend on the "Rookie" setting. Outside of that last point, it's a pretty decent game. I'd probably give it a 7/10. I'm still trying to get the hang of it and will probably enjoy it more after I learn all of the controls. Never had the opportunity to play MVP, but I was a big fan of the Triple Play series back in the '90s. I thought that TP was a more exciting game, but 2k6 is still much, much better than 2k1 for Dreamcast. You need to play MVP then, its better than Triple Play.. and way better than MLB 2k6 The graphics alone are so much better.. Have you noticed yet that the baserunners round first no matter where you hit it.. That was what pissed me off the most

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) I know he hasnt been healthy and moulds hasnt had injury problems and should be the number 1 or 2 regardless, two good receivers should allow carr to find one of them downfield before the defensive line gets to him As long as the do the right thing and trade out of the #1 spot and get D'Brick they should be able to turn the ship around fast.. I am praying they dont take Bush -
