  1. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) I meant for FSU. I attended every home game and he was a non-factor. gotcha
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) But are they any better? He adds no value to their franchise at the current time. He will cost a lot of money while sitting on the bench doing nothing and he is not even a sure thing to be a good QB. I think they dropped the ball there and could have used defense. a 4th round pick wont be burning a hole in the Bears wallet.. Plus now he gets to sit back learn the offense and take snaps in practice, get some valuable NFL experiance.. Orton >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the other crap backing up in Chicago in recent history
  3. QUOTE(backman @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) No Jason white, no one wants him? ok he had some struggles in the big game but he got a good arm and would be a fine 7th round draft pick, and what about Timmy Chang, no love for the NCAA Division I-A passing and total-offense record holder, common great 7th round pick! Jason White has bum knees and played in a spread offense with all american talent around him.. Theres no real shock he wasnt drafted either.. Chang also didnt grade out to be a good pro prospect.. Hawaii threw the ball a lot as well..
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:08 AM) Rodgers is no better than Orton in my opinion. Both of them will be sitting on the sidelines learning for at least 2 years. The only difference is the Packers have to pay first round money and take a huge salary cap hit while he is sitting as a back up to Brett Favre. Our first round pick will be running through their swiss cheese defense. Williams is a very strange pick. Why would the sign Pollard in the offseason to go along with Roy Williams and Charles Rogers only to use a high first round pick on a slot receiver? He is not Randy Moss. He is not someone that you will bring in with Chris Carter and Jake Reed and just send him deep for home runs. Silly pick if you ask me. Value? HOW? I understand what you are a saying, that they got value because they fell further than they should have. However, if they don't fit and fill their needs how does it add to THEIR value? Their respective teams are really no better off today as they were before the draft. Rodgers is way better than Orton.. Rodgers has very sound mechanics and is mobile and has a gun for an arm.. Now he gets to learn behind Brett Favre, there is no way GB could pass that pick up I give the Bears a C because I thought there were better WR's available at their 2nd round pick than Bradley.. Benson was a huge pick up for them and will immediatley help the team.. They had a solid draft, C seems fair to me
  5. I hate Dallas with a passion but they had a solid draft
  6. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) I was at FSU while he was there. He only started a few games, and that was mainly because chris rix sucked ass. Those were also down years, and continue to be, for FSU. Trust me, he was not impressive. He didn't do s*** on the basketball court either. Maybe he's gotten better since then, but I have never been impressed by him. Between mcpherson and rix, I think the best QB during those years was Anquan Boldin. still doesnt justify the fact that he is not = to Burris and no matter what you think he did on the basketball court.. he must have done some s*** to be Mr Basketball in the state of Florida
  7. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) There are a handful of QB's more talented than Orton that went after him. Yeah I didnt like the Orton pick.. I think Orlovski would have been a better choice
  8. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) When 1/3 of your catches are TD's and you lead your National runner up team in TD's I'd say that's pretty good for TD's. Also, Channing Crowder was a risk pick No he wasnt.. He was the heart and soul of the Florida defense.. Not to mention thew #1 LB in the draft rated by most.. He was cleared by his doctor and a knee specialist, so the risk of Crowder is not compareable to taking a guy who has what 34 career college catches switched poss. thats a much bigger risk
  9. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) I think the Chiefs got a pretty good deal for that. They only gave up a 2nd rounder. I'd rather have a proven cornerback anyways. but Surtain now has the 3rd richest CB deal in the league.. thats why Miami had to move him
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) This was J.P.'s Losman's favorite target in College right?... I think its a good pick, but with all these WR's you have to wonder where Gage and Berrian are going to fall on the depth chart. No thats Roydell Williams..
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) Bears draft Airese Currie. If I recall he's a really fast reciever. I've heard his name before. Yeah hes solid... Better than the Bradley pick
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) ALRIGHT ALRIGHT GET IT DONE JA SHAZOR IS YOUR MAN You guys do know he ran a 4.7 and has been knocked on his coverage... plus they think he is a little smallish to be a OLB.. thats why he has slipped
  13. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 11:03 AM) James Grigsby ILB - Illinois goes to KC. Illinois St
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) Oh the irony is rich Saban could have picked his mother in the 1st round and you wouldn't have been angry. Um... pretty sure Rodgers would have made me mad.. Hard for me to disagree with Miamis picks when they have all been BPA.. Especially the fact that 3 of them are 1st round talent players.. We didnt draft some project who is raw as hell and im not trying to pretend like he is a "TD machine" and gonna be a badass.. Your the dillusional one
  15. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) Figured as much. Let's hope Angelo finds a way to draft Ernest.
  16. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Bears took Kyle Orton in the 4th round. Edit: Anyone who knows, what (if anything) separates Orton from Dan Orlovsky? Couldnt really tell you, but I think Orlovsky may be a little more mobile and I believe has a stronger arm..
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) BTW. Adrian McPherson = Henry Burris thats so wrong its not even funny... Lets not forget that McPherson was starting QB at FLORIDA STATE Mr Basketball and Mr Football in high school.. And the MVP of the Arena League last season as a ROOKIE.. he is very talented, and comparing to him Henry Burris = :headshake
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) Alright I just would like to see something in training camp and preseason before taking a dump on Bradley. He is an athletic freak in all catagories and takes it to the house when he gets his chances. Willie you need to get off the Bears kool aid and realize that the Bears spent a 2nd round pick on a very raw and risky player.. Its ok for people to criticize the pick because that was pretty high to take someone who has little experiance as a WR and now has to jump into the NFL and try to learn that now..
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:39 AM) Cleveland and Miami had the best Day 1's to me. Miami baybeeee... They got 3 1st round talents, im f***ing pumped
  20. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) My point is we picked Bradley to be a playmaker, playmakers score touchdowns. He got the same amount as a 1st rounder. He also had the same as Williamson. Playmakers make plays, Bradley made plays last year. Im not trying to argue that he is a bad player... its a risky pick, thats all im saying..
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Pass happy????????? That explains why Adrian Peterson averaged like 30 carries and 200 yards a game????? OU runs a spread and was like 27th in the Nation in passing last season.. and yes, they throw a lot, apparently you didnt see too many OU games
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) Bradley's TDs=Clayton's TDs last year *sigh* Didnt wanna have to pull a juggernaut Mark Clayton - 66 rec 876 yards 8 TD's Mark Bradley - 23 rec 491 yards 7 TD's That is not really as close as your trying to make it seem.. especially in an offense that is a spread offense.. Its a risky pick thats all im saying..
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) 9 tuddies In OU's pass happy offense
  24. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) He caught 34 passes in two years at Oklahoma. That is not a whole lot of production. He does have potential but he hasn't shown much of it on the field. And he isn't making a transition, he played WR throughout his entire college career. hate to tell you but 34 catches in 2 years is close to 0 production...
  25. Congrats Soxtalk on getting a whole 2 picks correct
