  1. The A's are already moving to Vegas do you live under a rock?????
  2. The Bears don’t have a QB, you absolutely cannot pass on taking a QB with the #1 pick for the second year in a row.
  3. Actually the point was more they’re the same. If I’m building a team I’d rather have a good offense in place to support young developing pitchers as opposed to pitching trying to carry a developing offense.
  4. Yeah but did he fall asleep because he was tipsy or was it because he’s so old???
  5. 9/10 in runs scored made the playoffs and the 1 that didn’t (Cubs) were eliminated on the last day.
  6. Pretty crazy that if you don't want to spend big money on players, spend it in scouting and development and then you can just cycle through good players and trade them before they get super expensive and you restock the farm and have suitable replacements on the cheap ready to fill the hole that was created. Seems like this would be perfect for a guy like JR.
  7. I agree. We can get pitching when we trade Robert in a year or two.
  8. This is a total fluke situation that we may never see again. There is probably a small fraction of players who would even entertain signing a massive deal and putting 97% of it a decade down the road.
  9. Out of how many possible days, do that too.. or not, I think we all know the results anyways.
  10. Its because they know they are going to be bad, even if they don't want to come out and say it, and it looks like the priority right now is to acquire some players we may be able to flip at the deadline. No moves that have been made so far indicate at all they are trying to compete this season.
  11. This is basically what we are looking at for SP to start the year and their FIP last season.. Cease (3.72 FIP) Fedde (?? Unknown) Soroka (6.56 FIP) Kopech (6.46 FIP) Toussaint (4.95 FIP) Scholtens (5.31 FIP) This is bad, doesn't matter if Paul DeJong and Nicky Lopez are behind them. If/When Cease is traded, the rotation is arguably the worst in baseball. The offense last season was 25th in AVG, 30th in OBP, 26th in SLG, and 29th in OPS. The White Sox had a .238 team average and a .675 team OPS. None of those additions you named even meet those figures. Someone else said this in a post and I don't remember where, but it was a great post and it was something like this. Basically, instead of the Sox losing 9-3 they are going to lose 6-3.
  12. If Cease is traded, I would say its a guarantee they lose 100 games. Even with Cease, hard to see a scenario where they don't lose 100 games.
  13. I was just about to say this. Great, so all of our under performers are going to magically be good now, that’s wishful thinking.
  14. Who cares, the contract will never be a bad one for teams that print money.
  15. lol Toronto, such a dumb rumor why would he ever go there.
  16. This roster is trash and DeJong, Fede, and Lopez aren’t going to prevent the miserable season that’s coming.
  17. I think it’s very weird I haven’t gotten any ESPN alerts about it they’re usually all over these things if it’s as close as reported
  18. Oh yeah. We’re never signing a player like this.
  19. I have no idea who my new favorite team would be if this happened
  20. There is no rush at all to trade him, I don’t see how the speed of when the trade happens tells anything
  21. I don’t have the answer to that, but I feel pretty confident in saying it’s not because of lack of interest
  22. He’s still a front of the rotation pitcher with age and contract on his side. That’s not really debatable, and based off reports most insiders agree.
