  1. Hes maxed out physically is what I meant but since you brought it up, we have 3 seasons of data now that are all practically identical. My money says Vaughn is what he is.
  2. I can't imagine any offer for Vaughn would be worth doing. Vaughn is a 1B only player with no speed, no standout defensive skills, middling power for the position. Hes maxed out. At this point you roll the dice and hope something clicks for him next season.
  3. Dolphins get Claypool and a 7th for a 6th, 2025 draft picks
  4. This coach has no balls, why are you not going for it there
  5. I didn't say impossible, I said difficult. Difficult personalities in sports is nothing new and teams have to deal with it all the time.
  6. I look at it more like could you sign him on a 1 yr deal dirt cheap and he pitches well enough to be traded for an asset later in the year, not that he's going to spearhead a championship window. But as you said, its a fat chance.
  7. No argument from me, he is obviously an incredibly difficult person to deal with and not well liked. I don't like everyone I work with either, doesn't mean they shouldn't have a job. Or I could just be the problem, its a fine line.
  8. Listen, I don't disagree with what you're saying. Its easy to sit here at your computer and say "Well I don't get why you need to choke someone to get off. Just don't do it". That's not how this works. I don't understand why people do drugs. Im not into that, but that's exactly it im not them and humans don't all share the same interests and desires. I completely understand why people wouldn't want Trevor Bauer on their team and why they don't want to root for him. That doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to be on a team period because some private thing hes into was dragged into the spotlight for malicious intents.
  9. You have Sosa & Rodriguez to play with for now and Colson knocking at the door. There is no reason to bring this headache back and also no reason to waste money on a FA SS.
  10. In what world does 75 million get you a starting catcher, second baseman, right fielder, three starting pitchers, and multiple bullpen arms?!?
  11. Anyone but Houston, would rather see the Cubs win the world series than the Astros.
  12. Hey I don”t have any desire for those things either, what are you trying to say here
  13. You’re missing the point, what does his sexual preferences have to do with pitching in the MLB? Didn’t commit a crime, never charged with anything, pretty much zero evidence of wrong doing. You hate him though because he’s into something you don’t like. I get it though, I don’t understand how anyone likes the show Friends. It’s terrible.
  14. If I was into kicking homeless people in the face, I would probably accept that offer. If the homeless person then went to the police and said that I ran up on him and punted him in the jaw even when he said don't do it and now im fired from my job and everyone thinks im an asshole, I would have an issue with that.
  15. This team had a .329 winning percentage once they ditched Lynn, Giolito, Lopez, Graveman, and Kelly. We don't have the spend available to replace all of them. They went 18-37 from the trade deadline to the end of the season. Its a dire situation.
  16. Ill wait to see what happens with the pitching staff, but as of now there is no way they don't lose 100 games again. The rotation is Cease and then your choice of four other 5+ ERA guys or rookies who weren't even performing well. There are no difference makers in the lineup outside of Luis Robert. This 26 man roster is Cease and Robert, and 24 replacement or worse level players. There is not enough money to fix every issue with this team, and they are bringing back to same manager who lead this disaster last season. If they sign a few competent starting pitchers, there is probably enough there to keep it in the 90-94 range. If the rotation is filled out with Kopech, Toussaint, Scholtens, etc. 100 losses is as close to a lock as it will get.
  17. This is so hilariously spot on. The season was a disaster Pedro, what are you going to do? Well, I need to replace all these bums I hired. lol. Im sorry, but there is no justification what so ever to bring back a manager that lost 100 games in a season where the organization expected to contend. It just can't happen. Especially when they are about to go out and lose 90-100 again next season, and Pedro will almost surely be fired when that happens. Its a waste of time.
  18. Before this gets out of hand, I am not trying to say that Bauer is some saint or role model. He is in to some weird s%*# I personally don't understand or can relate to. I just think it sucks that in this world someone can pretty much have their livelihood taken away by untruthful accounts of what happened in privacy. Even when the justice system says there's not even enough evidence here to charge him with anything, he will forever be guilty to millions.
  19. Of course he isn't. If you ever want to ruin a celebrities life, publicly accuse them of something horrible.
  20. Why is he a piece of s%*#, because he has a weird sex fetish? There are probably dozens of people you know or work with or are around all the time who have some weird ass thing they are into. You can disagree with it, but I don't see why that makes someone a "piece of s%*#". If he was found guilty of just straight abusing some woman against her will, absolutely, should be put in jail. That's not what happened here.
  21. Just for fun, lets take a approximate look at 2024 (less arb estimates) Current commitments: $120,000,000 Potential commitments with Anderson, Hendriks, and Clevinger options declined: $85,500,000 Starting Players (2023 bWAR) Catcher: Kory Lee (-0.7) / Carlos Perez (0.0) First Base: Andrew Vaughn (1.0) Second Base: Lenyn Sosa (-0.8) Short Stop: Tim Anderson (-2.0) Third Base: Yoan Moncada (0.6) Left Field: Andrew Benintendi (0.2) Center Field: Luis Robert Jr. (5.1) Right Field: Gavin Sheets (-1.4) DH: Eloy Jimenez (0.3) SP1: Dylan Cease (2.4) SP2: Michael Kopech (0.7) SP3: Touki Toussaint (1.0) SP4: Jesse Scholtens (0.3) SP5: NONE Bullpen: Gregory Santos (1.3), Tanner Banks (0.8), Garrett Crochet (0.2), Luis Patino (0.2), Sammy Peralta (0.2), Jimmy Lambert (0.1), Lane Ramsey (-0.1), Deivi Garcia (-0.2), Declan Cronin (-0.4), Aaron Bummer (-1.0) Everyone in red should probably or definitely needs to be replaced. Its not realistic for that to happen, but its damn near the entire roster. Assuming options are declined on at least Hendriks and Clevinger, were looking at approx. $100,000,000 in payroll commitments without assuming arbitration so most likely higher. And lets just assume they generously get another $160,000,000 payroll budget. That's approx. $60 million dollars available to sign at least 3 starting pitchers, a few competent bullpen arms, a starting RFer, a starting 2B, bench players. This is not going to happen. The 2024 White Sox are shaping up to be quite possibly the worst team a lot of you have ever seen in your lifetime. Simply put, were fucked.
  22. Oh man, if you think this is rock bottom wait until next season. They have so many holes to fill and wont be spending the money to do it. They are not going to be able to improve a 100 loss roster. We haven't seen rock bottom yet.
  23. I don't want to put in the effort to find this answer, so maybe someone else wants to, but when is the last time a team expected to contend for a World Series lost 100 games and didn't replace their manager? Has this EVER happened?
  24. Man if they get Lincoln Riley to pair with Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr that would be one hell of a shot in the arm.

They already said they’re bringing back Grifol sadly
