On ESPN they just interviewd Jeff Brantley and asked him some yes or no questions one of them being.. "will a team from Chicago make the playoffs" he said yes.. Afterwards Dan Patrick asked "The Cubs right" and Brantley went on to say "Yes the Cubs... that other team wont make the playoffs" Then went on to say "The Other Team" doesnt have any pitching although they are swinging the bats well now.. Isnt our pitching 3rd in the AL right now??

I know on ESPN all it showed was Maggs single and Gloads single... Didnt show Frank or Vals HR its just sad the way were treated, but hey... we keep winning and it all doesnt matter

I dont agree with that.. Just because someone says "We should sweep these guys" and then WE get swept, its not because of a prediction.. We havent been playing great baseball and the Blue Jays have, bottom line.. Thats all you can put towards the sweep.. Just gotta hope we get our s*** straight and get back on track..

he has 8 walks in 13.1... thats not even a walk per inning hes only given up 12 hits and 4 were XBH I can just see improvement from him this yr, thats all i care about

Whats weird is his ERA is 5.40... yet opponents are only batting .222 against him? He has 13.1 inning pitched and 13 K's with 8 walks Hes leading the team in appearances and has 5 of 6 saves... He isnt doing that bad, but the thing that gets me is the 5.40 ERA with a .222 OBA

Aboz im not seeing the BP Fastball anymore I havent really seen him get hit that hard so far... you can tell a diff from last year but yes hes been erratic still.. I dont care as long as the man gets the save, and if he keeps improving then ill be even happier

Dont rule out Konerko either yeah they have martinez and olerud but they are both old, real old... Maritnez is done after this yr and Olerud is old and batting very low... it wouldnt surprise me Soriano and Freddy "The Rock" Garcia for Konerko, Borchard, Wunsch, and some other prospect could happen

Oz im not seeing your point here.. You cant sit here and predict when hes gonna blow a save, but what you can see is that he hasnt blown one in a while now and has been getting the job done.. so why take him out when theres no problem?? Yes he has been erratic, but he gets the save none the less I cant answer your question about how many, but I have nothing to worry about until he actually blows another save... for all you know he may go 30 for 30 the rest of the year.. who knows... well have to see but what I do know is he is saving games, thats all we ask of him

I watched the last 2 games he saved on ESPN... He got the save, im satisfied with that.. yeah it was rocky, but he pulled it out... he did what was asked.. I watch baseball, I watch the Sox as much as possible.. Ive seen Koch pitch so you all dont have to think i dont know whats goin on and talking out my ass.. Hes better than last yr, and hes getting saves this year..

Hes not getting the job done?? Are you sure about that, because I didnt know walks, ERA, and a slow fastball (which is 93-95, not that slow anyways) was what counted as converting a save

hes blown one save this year, you dont know when the next one will be but hes been getting the save and not blowing them... so your gonna tell me you would remove Koch from the closer roll when hes getting the job done? why?
