  1. I agree with this. Until there are actual announced changes I am under the impression these same guys are all back next season in the same positions. Kim Ng has a professional and personal relationship with KW, of course she is going to name drop when discussing this. She actually seemed very proud to say she was a White Sox alumni.
  2. She was in the booth the other day and I am pretty sure I heard her say that they had been working on that one for a while and it didn't just come together at the last second.
  3. Trades have been good, her FA signing though have not
  4. 3 against the Rockies, 4 against the A's, 6 against the Royals, 3 against the Nationals. Unfortunately, we will win at least one more game.
  5. Listen, I am not going to say you're wrong because I hope you're right but Kim Ng referencing her working and personal relationship when talking about dealing with the White Sox isn't enough to get me to believe Hahn is out. Also didn't one of those James guys address the situation right before the deadline and said the idea that KW is secretly pulling all the strings now was nonsense?
  6. I think that clearly meant what the plan is (rebuilding? retooling?) for the people in charge (coaching staff)
  7. They refuse to make the signings required to get there. They traded away 3 prime assets for a single core of players and never supplemented them, didn't draft well, and had zero back up plan if they didn't pan out.
  8. Well buckle up, because hes currently our #3 starter
  9. Good lord, Dunning 5.7 K/9 and he’s got 11 tonight. This team is straight ass.
  10. Probably looking too much into that. She worked in the Sox front office with KW, never with Hahn. She could just be referencing that previous relationship with the Sox organization and people there. I don’t recall her specifically saying she worked with KW on the trade.
  11. What you’re not into unathletic shortstops with slow swings?
  12. That’s 1.5 million every year until 2033. It’s not JUST 1.5 million.
  13. Guys, this team has NO PITCHING after this season. Its Cease, Kopech, and nothing. We can not roster 4-5 1B/DH type players there is nowhere for everyone to play. It doesnt matter if we had Jake Burger at every position, a rotation filled out with Touki Toussaint, Jesse Scholtens, and Tanner Banks isnt winning anything.
  14. How is that a spin, that's basic baseball strategy. Teams aren't going to let Burger launch home runs when they can just pitch to Sheets, Andrus, Zavala, etc.
  15. Ill believe it when I see it, KW has had a foot out the door for a while now I don't see how he goes back to being the GM. I haven't seen anything at all that indicated Rick Hahn has lost his job. And if Hahn has been internally fired but everyone, including Hahn, is pretending he is still GM until the season is over to save face or whatever it is they're doing then this organization is more pathetic than I could have ever imagined. I just don't understand at all how you could let a lame duck GM take lead on the future of your organization if you have already decided hes not the guy to lead the franchise. It makes no sense.
  16. He got walked 5 times in the 4 game Cleveland series. He hit 3 home runs the first two games and then did squat the next 2 games with 3 walks not because he suddenly became Kevin Youkilis, but because he is sandwiched between Grandal, Sheets, Colas, Andrus, etc. and there is no reason to pitch to him to let him run into a HR. Cleveland isn't managed by a dummy.
  17. Wouldn't he have said FROM the people in charge if he meant the front office? I kind of read that more like lets get to the end of the season and we will let you know the direction for the big league team. People in charge as coaching staff?
  18. I like the comp of a poor mans Mark Reynolds.
  19. We got him off the scrap heap, I would rather try to get another scrap heap reliever on the cheap than pay Middleton a few million dollars. You just gotta churn these guys in and out and hope to get a good season from them.
  20. Do you want to know the terrifying truth, or do you want to see Jake Burger sock a few dingers?? Dingers! Dingers! Dingers!
  21. Oh no doubt, that’s happening for sure.
  22. We’re paying the noodle arm singles hitter in LF $17 million a year for the next 3 years. Eloy is 100% getting that option picked up, you can’t replace him any cheaper through FA.
  23. Jake Burger hit .146 in June with a .200! OBP. He’s hitting .197 over the last 28 days and he strikes out at almost 32%. He also cant play defense. He’s gonna hit 30 HRs, big deal. Sox have a chance to get a mid rotation starter out of this. It’s a no brainer.
