I mean he did have a 4 WAR season in 2021 so its not like the monstars came and sucked up all his talent prior to that
-
Yeah, I read that blurb and its like they just forgot about arguably the biggest superstar in the entire league right now.
-
Where is that from, did they forget Ohtani hasn't been traded to the NL yet?
-
We haven’t had pitching depth all season so I would say a move like this a few weeks before the deadline is probably telling. we are 16 games under .500, the writing is on the wall.
-
They are going to need warm bodies once Giolito, Lynn, Lopez, Kelly, Middleton, and Graveman are all moved.
-
In hindsight, that would be correct. My point was, he didn't move those players for underwhelming returns. The players not developing or flaming out is a different story. I am not worried about Rick Hahn giving away Lucas Giolito is what I am trying to say. The return will and should be nice.
-
You have to move him. I want Hahn gone as much as anyone else, and he has been bad at his job. One of the things he has done fairly well is trade established talent for prospects. Eaton to Washington was a great return. Sale to Boston was a great return, Quintana to the Cubs was a great return. Giolito is going to be one of the best SP available at the deadline, someone will pay over for him.
-
I think it will be pretty hard to botch trading Giolito at the deadline. Kelly and Lopez, whatever, its not like you were getting high end talent for them anyways. If they dump guys like Grandal and Lynn for whatever they can get that's probably a win no matter what.
-
The deadline will be telling, if they are fairly active you would imagine Hahn is probably safe as far as remaining with the organization in some capacity. If they don't do much, hopefully, it means hes out. As you said, why would you let someone make a bunch of moves that you are getting rid of in a few months anyway.
-
Yeah and I also am not giving them credit for offering Machado a deal they knew he was never going to accept anyways. Knowingly doing that is the same as not offering at all in my opinion.
-
I gotta say, I think this may be somewhat accurate... I would believe it
-
In a perfect world, yes. In the world the White Sox live in, I would welcome Ozzie back with open arms since I know they aren't going to be going after up and comers or forward thinking guys anyways.
-
I would love for him to finally play more than 100 games in a season. This season is over though, so just get healthy and 100%.
-
Worry about what, that he may miss our big second half push lol

Man, the Rangers were pretty much a 90 loss team all three years ARod was there and he was putting up stupid numbers. Crazy.
-
Its unfortunate that his marriage is ending and it sounds like it was at least a joint decision without any drama. I think its perfectly acceptable to discuss how this might affect his performance and the team, this is a White Sox forum and what happens in his personal life can and might have an affect on the teams performance.

Damn, that sucked
-
Yup Robert’s going to have to really turn it on to get this one
-
This guy is throwing way too slow
-
Well he recovered pretty good in the derby at least
-
It doesn’t

Man Bo Bichette sounds like a little b****
-
Man I don’t even remember seeing the 470 footer

I dunno, Luis still had like 40 seconds left in his bonus when he won. It would have been like 30+
-
He needs to rest up
