  1. .192 - .196 - .143 - .171 The murderers row of Alberto, Andrus, Sosa, and Zavala
  2. This team is so bad. I hope you guys aren't going to be sucked in even if they win today with 75% of a 4 game streak coming from walk offs.
  3. Yikes, now we have to rely on Robert to not K on 3 pitches.
  4. Remember, this is the guy that sits in the owners meetings wondering how some of these other schmucks got teams. As if he is the pinnacle of successful ownership.
  5. Hes not wrong, sometimes you can finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th and it doesn't mean it was a bad season. This of course, does not apply to his team that is supposed to be in its contention window. Finishing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in this division is embarrassing for what this team was supposed to be. We already knew that's how he felt anyways. Again, its not about the money its about winning. Well if its about winning finishing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th will never be anything other than a bad season with those expectations.
  6. Yeah well at least he had a real injury, not lingering ouchies that span multiple seasons.
  7. We will be paying Moncada $24,000,000 next season. Harper will be paid $27,000,000. "How in the world could these guys have made money to buy a team??"
  8. To go a little further into that.. The Padres hadn't been to the playoffs since 2006, they sign Machado and go all in and they have as many playoff series wins in the last 3 years as we do in the last century. Phillies hadn't been to the playoffs since 2011, they sign Harper and Wheeler and go all in and they are in the World Series by the 4th year of the deal. Once again, they have matched the White Sox series wins in the last century.
  9. If it wasn't about money but winning, his actions sure as hell don't reflect that sentiment. How have we never signed a player to a 9 figure deal? The time to put your money where you mouth is was back when Machado and Harper were available. Franchise altering stars in their prime years. If it was about winning, you sign one of those guys to insert right into the middle of an up and coming roster (At the time).
  10. Exactly. The start to the season has been a disaster, but we will get Tim and Yoan back. Luis and Eloy are better than they have started. What is truly scary is just how bad this pitching staff is. It's putrid. Starting Pitching Kopech has an ERA over 7, with a FIP of 7.44. Lynn has and ERA over 7, his FIP is 5.47. These guys have flat out stunk, not just unlucky. Clevinger hasnt been any good either, ERA of 4.60 with a 5.57 FIP. Giolito and Cease have been the only reliable starters. Bullpen Lopez (8.76), Lambert (6.92), Diekman (7.94), Bummer (9.64), Graveman (5.56), Kelly (7.71) all have been bad to awful so far. The only reliable arms so far are the guys we cant rely on AT ALL to keep it up with Santos (1.88) and Middleton (3.86)
  11. Leury Garcia: $5,500,000 in 2023, 2024 Dallas Keuchel: $150,000 in 2023 Jose Ruiz: $54,703 in 2023 Jose Abreu: $1,000,000 in 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 Potential 2024 buy outs - $7,000,000 Lance Lynn: $1,000,000 Mike Clevinger: $4,000,000 Joe Kelly: $1,000,000 Jake Diekman: $1,000,000 This was taken from spotrac.com multi year payrolls
  12. Yeah not sure how thats figured though, it wasnt on the list I was looking at.
  13. 54 - 79 makes them a 100 loss team. Looking at that, not sure I see it happening. 64 - 69 makes them a 90 loss team. This, I definitely see happening. I think its much more likely these guys go 64-69 the rest of the way than 73-60 from everything we have seen so far.
  14. Leury; Keuchel; Ruiz; and deferred payments to Abreu until 2026
  15. Season is over. Someone posted the other day, no team in MLB history has even made the postseason after starting like 7-18. Over a century of data tells you that this team will not be making the postseason this year. I don't even want them to get close at this point, they need to "flush" the front office and the only way that has a remote chance of happening is if this team fails epically. This is what I want to see the rest of the year to hopefully force that change.
  16. How long is it going to take before someone is held accountable?
  17. It’s Eloy. Tore up the minors, looked great as a rookie, then completely lost it.
  18. Yeah I guess I didn't think about them selling off, although I find it hard to believe they will go that route. I don't think they will realistically lose 100 games but that's definitely on the table if Cease gets shut down and players like Lynn, Grandal, Giolito get dealt at some point for whatever you can get.
  19. I wish they would, its the only way that I can break out of this fandom and find a new team to support.
  20. They can't possibly be as bad as they have started, however, they are very clearly a .500 or worse team so I would put money on this being a 90 loss team this year based solely on the hole they have dug themselves in to start the year. No clue when Moncada will be back, the pitching aint it this year. They are losing 90.
  21. I am no longer angry with how this season is going, it is what it is. What I am angry about is that no one is being held accountable for it, and chances are no one will. Changes have to be made, not on the field, in the front office. This team has collapsed since the second half of 2021 and not a damn thing has been done about it. This is where my anger and frustration is, at a minimum Rick Hahn needs to be fired like yesterday. It is completely unacceptable for a professional organization to allow this level of failure with no consequences. All it has done is send the message to the fans "We don't give a f*** about you." Well, f*** you too White Sox.
