  1. I would be fine rolling this out for opening day assuming we don't add anything else. SS - Anderson (R) LF - Benintendi (L) CF - Robert (R) DH - Jimenez (R) 3B - Moncada (S) 1B - Vaughn (R) C - Grandal (S) RF - Colas (L) 2B - Sosa (R)
  2. Yeah but if all of his home games were played in the pacific time zone on Tuesdays he would have hit 15 more HRS.
  3. I’ll save my judgement for when we find out who is getting shipped out to accommodate this signing. Generally when you hear your team just signed someone to the richest contract in team history you expect better than Andrew Benintendi.
  4. Seeing the contracts being given out, its not hard to look at the White Sox and truly now realize we will never be able to put a sustained winner on the field because we will A. Never sign a superstar free agent to the contract they would demand B. Never resign a homegrown/traded superstar to the contract they would demand C. Never spend to supplement or round out a championship caliber roster
  5. Were people struggling with this?
  6. $100 million contract? Are you nuts. That's too rich for the Sox blood.
  7. They have cried poor all off-season and now they are going to drop $60-$80 million on Benintendi? Ill believe it when I see it.
  8. I saw something else good the other day. In the last 105 years the White Sox have won 3 playoff series. They all occurred in 2005.
  9. Yep, we are all pissed off about it, but lets face it we aren't going anywhere.
  10. That's the thing, the die hard will always be there. The die hards go b**** on a message board but they are still watching games, going to games, buying gear. No matter how much they b****, they aren't going anywhere. Its why they are a die hard. If the stadium was empty, or max capacity, I do believe it wouldn't change how this team was run from an ownership standpoint.
  11. Attendance doesn't matter, in fact, the more of you who think you'll show them by not going to the games and spending money are only fueling ownership to not put a competitive product on the field and just stack the cash since no one is going.
  12. Eeesh come on guy. I want to believe you have a source, but then you get fooled by Ben Dover twitter account.
  13. I know, I don't want to trade them for a handful of 25 year olds
  14. I think people forget that Tony had the team literally take a knee to run out the clock on the season and that negative momentum was obvious
  15. Wonder if it has anything to do with him trading A.J. Brown and then getting absolutely embarrassed by Brown Sunday.
  16. I meant in terms of star power and marketability, it wasn’t supposed to be a slight at Machado
  17. Machado is just a good player, Harper is a guy that could be the face of baseball and really transformed this franchise
  18. Its crazy to me to look at Bryce Harper's contract and wonder how more teams weren't in on this. This was a 26 year old absolute superstar, and not one year of this deal eclipsed $30 million per year. Even better, the last 3 years of the deal when he is most likely in decline or declined are only $23 million per year!
  19. degrom is a regrettable contract Trea Turner wont turn 30 until around the all star break next season. If he is a solid player for 5 years of this contract I don't think the Phillies are going to look at their 2028 payroll and go "Damn, you know what, wish we weren't stuck with this $27 million per year albatross."
  20. 2024 Payroll Bryce Harper - $27 million per year Trea Turner - $27 million per year Yoan Moncada - $24 million per year Yowza..
  21. Yeah, well, they'll be sorry in like 7 years when hes not that good anymore.
  22. Wasn’t it already, pretty much, proven they made a really bad offer to Machado and didn’t even offer for Harper?
  23. Of course they don't know what they are doing, this has been proven multiple times.
