Just because he doesn't think he will get the job doesn't make it any less concerning they went out of their way to say Ozzie isn't in consideration only to then interview him for said position. Its worrisome.

I agree with everything you said, except for the Ozzie part. There is no reason, at all, he should have been interviewed or even considered for this job.

There is also the benefit that you may become a candidate for the Manager position in the future when it opens up again.

Bryce Harper just turned 30 years old as well. If you were ever going to give someone a massive contract, this was the guy to do that for. He may very well retain his value through the end of the deal when its only 22 million per year the final 3 seasons. This is a megastar that could have been had for 25 million per year. Hell, we are almost going to be paying Moncada the same for 2024

Nothing, our power was out for 3 days so it didn't run. It was 11 degrees for two days and then It was back in the 50's-60's a few days later. A generational storm is the exception, not the rule.

The point was a human being is most likely not basing their decision solely on the state of the baseball franchise. When you also consider where you will be living for half of the year or so and how much money the government is going to take from your paycheck that plays into it as well. I was born and raised in Illinois, will always love that its where I am from and say it proudly.

Well, I live in Texas and have since 1994. This post is nonsense, I don't think we even ran the heater last winter. You can make the argument for Florida, but there are very few better places to live than Texas if were talking about weather and cost of living. In December when you're shoveling snow in 20 degree weather I will be outside in shorts and a t-shirt in mid 60's and sunny.

Also keep in mind, Texas and Florida have no state tax and are infinitely better places to live than Illinois.
