If someone was like "yeah, they have AJ Pollock as a 4th OFer" you would think that team was loaded.

Man, that Kimbrel trade was just brutal all around. Absolutely nothing has worked out from that.

Lets say they trade nothing of importance for Gallo, who is the odd man out now? The OF has to be LF: Jimenez CF: Robert RF: Gallo, where is Vaughn and Pollock in this?

Why? There is literally nowhere for Jake Burger to play on this team unless you are just keeping him around for injury insurance. What else could Burger fetch in a trade that helps this team? He's basically a DH only. EDIT: I would rather trade Burger for Q straight up than prospects for Q if that was the options.

In hindsight, the Twins did great there. They also could have gotten a 26 year old minor league pitcher who flames out. For Abreu, I would rather just keep him then get an interesting lottery ticket. He's the leader here.

Hence, our window is closing. The goal was to win multiple championships. Even with how forgiving our owner is, I don't think there is going to be a second chance at a rebuild for the current regime. Realistically, no one should have been giving up top prospects for a guy like Benintendi anyways.

I don't see any scenario where they would trade Abreu, and even if they did I wouldn't expect to get much of a return.

Unfortunately, if we did decide to sell we have very little of value to offer. Cueto would probably get back something useful. Reynaldo Lopez might as well given how great he has been in the bullpen role and he has another year of control. Graveman, I don't know how much he returns with 2 more years at 8million per. Other than that, what do we have to offer as a seller?

Zavala and McGuire are DFA and Murphy and Grandal split time at catcher. AJ Pollock and Prospect(s) are sent to Colorado for Charlie Blackmon and cash/prospect(s). Norge Vera and Prospect(s) are sent to Chicago for Ian Happ and David Robertson. Prospect(s) to Miami for Joey Wendle. Harrison is DFA. C - Grandal (S) 1B - Abreu 2B - Wendle (L) 3B - Moncada (S) SS - Anderson LF - Happ (S) CF - Robert RF - Blackmon (L) DH - Jimenez Bench: Murphy, Garcia, Engel, Sheets SP: Cease, Kopech, Giolito, Cueto, Lynn, Montas. 6 man rotation rest of the way until playoffs when you throw the best three/four. Bullpen adds Puk and Robertson

The Cubs are a rebuilding team looking to cash in on these guys. Happ, Contreras, and Robertson are all going to return valuable prospect capital based on the seasons they are having. They aren't locked up long term and none of their salaries are a detriment. Sheets, Zavala, and a AAA reliever isn't enough to get even one of those guys by themselves much less all 3 even if you ate Heyward's contract.

Grandal is not being benched and the Yankees aren't going to swap Gallo for Pollock, it makes no sense at all. EDIT: Also, and I don't mean to be disrespectful or mean, but your trade proposal to the Cubs is utterly pathetic and they would never consider that.
