  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) I personally would like to see Harris get the start at 2nd tomorrow night, but I can completely understand maintaining the same lineup with the way we've been playing. Why??
  2. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) I am sick of Jay Mariotti and his dumb comments. All season he trashed us, all playoffs he ripped us, and now he is no where to be found. Lets win a World Series for us and so we can throw it in Mariotti's face and Brantley's too. 2 more wins, Lets Go SOx! He's right here: http://www.suntimes.com/output/worldseries...-spt-jay24.html
  3. QUOTE(Lefty Of Love @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) The Lidge one is good, but he can't give up a walk-off home run at home... "Official Brad Lidge Game-Winning HR Section"
  4. QUOTE(SoxFanInDallas @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) Someone needs to explain how and why the Rally Crede got started! And the second day God said: Let there be Rally Crede! And there was..and it was good.
  5. I've had a Black Guillen 13 jersey since 1993. I wear it with pride!!
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) It sounds cool, they said they were going to bring all of the games and message board stuff from Comiskey, so it will be just like being there. i really wish I could go. Someone had to go and get someone pregnant... :headshake
  7. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Dorothy, I'm revoking your membership card right now. Just tear it up. You're a disgrace. You know, now that you mention it, it has been a while. If they’d ever just pass that smoking ban in Chicago………. But if you're telling me that ol Kate isn't on the jukebox anymore, then an era has definitely passed. Uh, several eras, in fact. Nah, you'e just making that up. Better taste? You must be an effete Cubs fan. Wait, now I see. You’re in Los Angeles. I said “in the United States.” Never mind.
  8. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Since Barbara Bush should be in her Diamond Club seats directly behind home plate, why not make a sign that says: The Chicago White Sox “This is working very well them” (But they promise to go home after sweeping)
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) Damn, I thought he had a daughter? I thought Garcia, Crede, and Konerko all had daughters? Paulie knows how to put the ole "stem" on the apple!
  10. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) Whats up with AJ's shirt? All I see is Ozzie Ball Means? Means what? Is there a conclusion to that phase on the back??? HEART & BRASS BALLS!

  13. QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) I came home for Georgetown University in Washington DC to watch Game 1...on TV. I have a lot of friends who have ridiculous seats on account of them being season ticket holders. I was kinda hoping someone might step it up and take me considering I came all the way home for the game, but I realized that these tickets were just too hot to be giving away. Anyways, I ended up watching the game at Morgan's on Roosevelt and Halsted and the place was absolutely electric. Jam packed...people banging cow bells, we were banging on the walls chanting anything from "BERNIE! BERNIE! BERNIE!" for Bernie Mac...to "SCOTTY! SCOTTY! SCOTTY!"...to "PAULIE! PAULIE! PAULIE!"...to The "Let's Go Go-Go White Sox" song. I felt like I was at the game and I felt a lot less sorry for my ticketless self. Any other stories of ticketless folks making the best of it? I like to tell myself that there are bigger tragedies in the world than me not being at a baseball game. Go Sox. Don't fret about it. As long as you are surrounded by Sox fans and having a great time you are in the middle of White Sox World Series Fever!! Enjoy it!
  14. How about something like "Houston, YOU have a problem!" Nobody thought of that one, yet!! Stay Classy and Clever
  15. QUOTE(BMac41 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) :headshake Nice talking to you...Came back and visit after the WS.
  16. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) I went to the game and was going to make a banner saying something about Houston's "Killer Beards" but thought it would be in bad taste (especially since a family of Astro fans was sitting behind me). SFF "Killer Beards"? Isn't that Tom Cruise's Assassination Squad?
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) LOL. It'll be just like a tailgate. hmmm...last minute Soxtalk outing???
  18. Weather might have been a factor. He might have been loose.
  19. Gammons hinted during the pre-game yesterday that Thomas will be pursued by Oakland. Take it for what it's worth...
  20. QUOTE(BMac41 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) The Astros aren't the favorites for game 3 you moron :headshake
  21. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Yes. The Weekend plan is what we're doing. You get playoff tickets for all series, but I think it's somewhat limited for CS and WS. We get two BOS (my wife is a Bosox fan), two CUB, two HOU (will be great games next year). It's a relative bargain at $570 for 27 games. You get all home games for the ALDS, one game for the ALCS, one game for the WS
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) LOL. It'll be just like a tailgate. Since it's GA, I wonder if the Club level will be open. That might be the best section to view the big screens. EDIT: Just checked...yes.
  23. We're playing the wait and see game also. If they win Tuesday, we're going to the UC on Wednesday, if not Thursday then.
  24. Welcome to the UD Season Ticket family! The More the Merrier!
  25. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) Post of the day. Day ain't over yet...
