  2. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) My guess would be Dustin can't go, so Cliff is pitching the 9th. You build a bullpne from the back. If Dusty is hurting, we'll need to get a closer. emmm
  3. BJ is a gamer. He lives for these situations.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) You can't be doing that f***ing shift in a double play situation!!! That's a huge play in this game. Dude... Gooch was in right field for the shift.

  9. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 12:02 PM) at Mark and Willies conversation. Willie: We gonna get somebody, I know we gonna get somebody. And that guy is replacing you...
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) GOD DAMN IT. Juan Uribe is officially a f***ing retard. We can't get Vizquel here fast enough. Jesus Christ, the first pitch?! Actually, the thing that excited more about acquiring Omar is seeing what Gooch will do lower in the line-up in a more "run-producing" role.
  11. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) Grimsly 7+ era. Lets not make him look like CY Young!!! An anxious Juan Uribe...a pitcher's best friend
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) That looks like a broken hand. Orioles have used a ton of relievers lately. Well done Crede!!! I wouldn't go that far...
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) Cmon, Rowand. That ball was a good foot and a half off the plate. In Aaron defense, that ball just flat-out dropped off the table. It looked like a fastball on the corner, Arron was just protecting(fouling it off). That bottom fell-out of the ball. Great pitch.
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Do it Willie! GET TO DA CHOPPA!!! I love that!
  15. Howard Stern was talking about it this morning. Facinating & creepy http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...0610_robot.html We are sooo close to full on robot sex!!!
  16. This is where Kenny's relationship with other GMs comes into play. His reputation around the league is a good one. GMs like his style and willingness to make every deal a win-win for both sides.
  17. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) its justified tho...when someone posts something that says nightengale is saying on the radio that the deal is done, i think alot of ppl would posting. unfortunately for the 1000000th time this appears to be a false alarm I agree...it's just fun. I'm as guilty as anyone!
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING
  19. I love this forum!! Any new post gets hundreds of hits and posts, no matter what. It's like throwing a raw steak in a pit of lions!
  20. QUOTE(SoxPhan7 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) This is what I found from the game story on ESPN.com: Shawn Camp (1-2), promoted Monday from Triple-A Omaha, pitched a perfect 13th. The White Sox protested the game because Camp was not listed on the lineup card. "The right side of the card is a courtesy" for the reserves and the bullpen, Bell said. "Apparently, they don't know the rules. The protest is a non-issue for me." I dont like Bell's tone there but it sounds like he knows what he is talking about. That's what I was thinking after reading the rules. The only thing that matters on the card is the batting line-up.
  21. I didn't go through the game thread to see if anyone posted this yet, but I have been looking through the rulebook for a passage on "using a player not on the line-up card". I found this: It's the last line that indicated to me why the protest won't be upheld. KC will argue that the umpires should have noticed that they were a man short on the line-up card and informed then before the game. Selig will agree. That's what I found, did anyone else have any luck with something more specific to the situation? A precedence, perhaps? Soxtalk.com needs to hire a paralegal department.
  22. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) I never thought i'd say this about this team this year but they really could miss the playoffs... Not only is it possible but if they continue to play like this it's likely... The fact is that Ross Gloads bad defense was the Anchor that brought this team down... Last night it was Willie Harris and Juan Uribe... As for Willie and Ross, AAA sounds good... Uribe.... well he can be a bench player.. get a decent SS... without these three losers this is a sweep... .if these three are allowed to play in any meaningful way that not only is it likely we will miss the playoffs, but a certainty... Dude, you are awesome!!! You should post everyday!!! That is one of funniest posts ever!! It's obviously a joke! Because no one could make those statements and be serious!!
  23. 2 more errors today. This is not White Sox baseball. Each guy should take a moment and slap themselves in the face and remember how they got to this point in the season.
  24. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) And a webgem His new spidey-powers helped him climb that wall!
