QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 07:30 AM) That is a Fox exclusive time slot. Unless Fox picks up the game and moves it to noon, I don't think they CAN do anything about it. I think Fox would pick it up. Fun problem to worry about, though.

Happy Birthday you ole so-and-so!

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 07:11 AM) The September 17th game at Minnesota is scheduled for 11am and there is NO television for that game. What if it a potential clinching game? Will anything be done to put that game on TV? I think they'll work it out if it's the clinching game.

It's not a horror movie, it's a satire. Dead people return and want to lead the lives they had before they died. There is a huge population influx...very clever movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378661/

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) i can not just leave work to go down there and get tickets....was looking for a little help.... Doesn't sound like you were asking for help. Sound like you were placing an order at McDonalds. "I need tickets now" 2 1/2 hours before you need them. We told you how to get them...this is not the official White Sox ticket office. Complain to them if you don't like the system.

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) I can see where you're coming from Ribbie. I thought it would be fun to see if people could guess it, because I certainly could not have. I'm not trying to be cryptic...I thought people would assume I'm a White Sox fan from my username. The cyptic part wasn't your fanbase...but your mystery team and reasoning behind the post. -

I think what everyone finds weird is how this thread developed by you Greg. You pull out an odd stat like the Sox are 38-22 since blah blah and so is another team. So we wait and then...anticlimatically...you say it's the yanks. we wait again then you finally explain the meaning of your post...briefly. Next time, try combining everything into one paragraph... ::cough:: Hey guys, Even though the White Sox are a scorching 38-22 since May 30, so are the New York Yankees. A team many have written off this year. They have a deadly line-up and a good bullpen. If there pitching comes around, do you think they might pose a threat to the Sox in the post-season? How do we match-up? (here you would post a few facts, splits...etc) Stop being cryptic when it's not needed. -
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) If we got latroy in his twins form that would make us a lock to win after like the 6th inning if we have the lead 6th cotts, 7th hawkins, 8th politte, 9th hermy What about Damaso?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) Plus AJ reuniting with Hawkins could be a good thing. If anyone remembers what Hawkins did as a good relief pitcher its AJ. That is an EXCELLENT point!

That guy's got it ALL wrong... You have to pretend to be Willie Harris...that's money everytime!

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:23 AM) Well put. Except for the extra ending, but I was fine with it. The ending was organic with the rest of the film, that's why it worked. It completed the personal journeys of Willy and Charlie. I'm still laughing at the "Flags of the World" exhibit.

Where did he say this?? I'd love to read the full article.

What a great movie "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" was... **SPOILERS** My Son adored it and he loves the first musical version. But I've been reading him the book for years, so he was thrilled to see the scenes and characters that were dropped from the orginal musical film. The Indian Prince and his Chocolate Palace melting around him. The Oompa Loompas singing Dahl's original lyrics, Veruca meeting her fate at the hands of Squirrells, not geese. The children leaving the factory and seeing the result of their experiences. The added stuff was wonderful too. The depth Johnny Depp and Tim Burton added to Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket's relationship. Pure Magic!! This is NOT a remake. This is the FIRST adaptation of the book. The other was a hollywood musical. Fun, classic..but not true to the vision of the book. This will be a Family Classic for years to come.
