  1. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Neither I would love to have Mike Morse as our SS right now.... The guy is hitting 0.395, 1 HR, 9 RBI, 2 SB, 0.461 OBP in 24 games :headshake ::Looking over fence at Seattle:: Hey...how's the grass over there??? He's been in only 24 games
  2. And the Royals are making a game of it!!! It was 7-3 twins....Now it's 7-6...Go KC!!!
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) But we don't need a closer. Hermanson has it on lock down. He's great. A starting pitcher is much more needed ...my ass. No faith.... :headshake
  4. This is great stuff. It shows how over-reactionary we can be... That not everything is so cut and dry... There's a reason we aren't running a MLB Ballclub and KW and Ozzie are...
  5. QUOTE(Big Hurt Way Back @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) If your a true white sox fan and have the hatred for the Cubs like I do this is most definelty a must win game!!! Let's see...hmmm.... I am a White Sox Season Ticket holder... I sink more money into this team than you... I have gone to games other than my ticket plan... I was at the 83 cliching game I was at the 93 clinching game I was at the 2000 clinching game in Minn. But since I think this is just a series we need to win and Minnesota/Division is more important... I am not a true Sox Fan. Thanks for your insight.
  6. Either someone has hacked into Qwerty's account or this is an Andy Kaufman-esque bit.
  7. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) If he has anything to do with White Sox games next year that is a quick way to kill the product, as far as remotes B players like him sets them up himself, ya know, ya know. Fine, you believe in your opinion. I'll believe in the facts.. From 670thescore.com (J Hood FAQ): J.Hood, grew up in Calumet Heights, (Chicago's South side) graduated from St. Albie Grammar School, St. Francis de Sales High School & Kennedy-King College. He resides in South Shore with his wife Michelle. Q: Who are your favorite teams? White Sox (I don't hate the cubs),
  8. JHood is a Soxfan...ok! He does remotes from Wrigleyville becasue that's where the station sends him, ya know, his Job?!? When the Dodgers were in town, he did a remote from the South Side and couldn't stop exclaiming his love for southside remotes and to be around Sox Fans. In fact, rumors are that the score might want him to the Pre and Post game Sox host next year.
  9. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jun 25, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) What the hell? Can I be pissed off? I find it insulting how disrespect a team thats worked so hard to get you so far and want to bump some of them off the starting rotation and Batting Order despite the roles theyve played. I feel insulted, "you CANNOT be insulting to fellow members on this board" Being insulted is all relative, pipe down. Pipe Down??? fine...I wil just report this to a Mod Thank you.
  10. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jun 25, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Anger is an emotion. Can I express emotions? Don't turn this into a "freedom of expression" debate... You are being insulting...you CANNOT be insulting to fellow members on this board? Understand?
  11. All facts and opionions aside, I find your tone very insulting and abrasive to my self and your fellow posters. I think you should step back, think about what you are writing and then post it. I think this club can improve itself with a trade. But I guess I am a "twat" who "doesn't f***ing respect" my team. This is very insulting and I am shocked the Mods have let this thread go on.
  12. The only thing that upsets me is that with Maddox pitching we get Sox-Killer Henry Blanco at Catcher! eep.
  13. In ESPN's defense...A Yankee player hit a homerun the night Garland won his 12th.
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Sometimes he lurks.. but he does not post here. Lurks......Doesn't trust her... Tomato...Tomahto
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) Nice comeback Lets see somemore of that line of logic. A batter should never sacrifice. It is stupid to make an out intentionally. (who cares if it moves a runner into scoring position) A pitcher should never pitch out. It is stupid to intentionally a ball, why would a pitcher every do that? (nevermind if it gets the catcher in position to throw out a runner trying to steal) A fielder should never throw to a cutoff man. how are you going to get a guy out if you aren't throwing to the correct base? (nevermind that two strong short throws can be better than one long weak, inaccurate one) Look a little deeper at the situation. The big picture is what is important here. The cash considerations were a major part of the deal, and because of them, the talent levels in the trade were altered. Stop trying Mike. You're agruing to a generation who was raised on MVP Baseball for PS2, Sportscenter highlights and Fantasy Baseball stats.
  16. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) And thats a problem how? Ahh another Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball way of looking at the reality of the game. :headshake
  17. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) I value Stoney's opinion. He's really smart in terms of baseball. If thinks the Sox are going to make a trade, then they're probably going to trade. Did he mention who/what the Sox will trade for? I think you misunderstood my comment. I meant that his general statement about the Sox making a trade is quite obvious and not much of a prediction.
  18. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:33 AM) Stone thinks that the Sox will make a trade Stoney also predicts the Sun may rise in the East tomorrow
  19. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) Fired after 27-43 last place start Does he play 3b? Can we pick him up for Crede and McCarthy?!?
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) Don't you think they'd see right through that for a Sox-Cubs game? LOL...Like Jello!
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) A co worker of mine will be taking client's to Friday's Sox-Cubs game. He wants to know how he can gain entrance to the stadium club. He is willing to pay a season ticket holder for their tickets to the club. He needs 4 tix. Can anyone help? Call them ahaead of time and ask to get a visitor's pass for one game to the Club. Tell them you are looking to use it as a wedding reception site.
  22. MY fear is that when the playoff roll around...We'll have a Jim Belushi sighting!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! :puke :puke He is the biggest celeb-sports-whore around. Any Chicago team in the playoffs can put money on the fact that Jim will stop by, wear that team's hat and show up in the booth to chat about his show and how he is Mr. Chicago... Ugh
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) Some folks I know met her while BM was filming here and said she was very down to earth, and did a bunch of charity work while in town. Nothin like the idiot she's apparently become. I also caught her giving Tom some award on MTV... again.. she acted like a complete moron. BM? Bowel Movement -The Movie?? Ewwww I thought she was in Batman Begins...or BB?
  24. I love gaining a half-a-game on a day off!
