  1. See you in 3 to 4 years then... Thanks for posting.
  2. I'm sure this is the case William Rehnquist wants to out on!
  3. Stay home with the family and relax. oh..and get s***-faced.
  4. He also held a similar ceremony with Ashlee. He give her a ring and asked her to promise to never sing live anywhere. BA-DA-BUM..
  5. I had some reservations as I sat down. "Can they pull this off?" "How do take an abstact movie and turn it into a plot-driven Boradway musical?" Kudos to Eric Idle and Mike Michols for doing the impossible. This show f***ing rocked my socks way the hell off!! From the opening fish-slapping number set in Finland (until the cast realizes the show should be in ENG-Land) to the Broadway-spoof finale about "finding the Grail inside you." this show made my jaw hurt from laughing so loud. Great Moments: SPOILERS AHEAD "The Knights of the Round Table" number set in a Vegas-esque Camelot. Hell the round table is a roulette wheel. Hank Azaria as the French Taunter adding his own spin to the charatcer. The French Cow song David Hyde-Pierce as Sir Robin s***ting in his pants at any sign of trouble. The Lady of the Lake making Galahad a man (Phantom send-up with boat and Chandelier) while singing a song entitled "There's a song like this in every show" The entire Price Herbert scene Patsy singing "Always look on the bright side of life" to Arthur Lancelot (Azaria) discovering that he likes men, especially Herbert, and going into a huge Peter Allen-esque number. Cod-piece, chain mail and Calypso. Azaria as Tim the Enchanter and the Knight of Ni who gives them a new second task...mount a broadway show. David Hyde-Pierce as Sir Robin singing that they can't get to Broadway without any Jews. Lancelot marrying Herbert and commenting "In 1000 years, this will still be controversial" The Black Knight Scene...Yep, they chop off every limb. The Killer Bunny slippers in the gift shop Sara Ramirez as "The Lady in the Lake, the French Cow, etc" steals the show from the boys. The Set...very Gilliam-esque And if you can get tickets..try to get seat A101. You'll see why. The recreation of the classic scenes, the new take on them and the new scenes all hysterical! The sing-a-long of "Always look on the Bright side of life" during the curtain call. My wife getting to meet Hank Azaria after the show and I got to chat breifly with Mike Nichols. great night, great show...Go, if you can.
  6. One Theory... For the White Sox to go from "Not a good fit" to "Making a contract offer" says to me that AJ's agent contacted the Sox and Aj agreed to KW demands on his attitude. Another... KW looked at his line-up and said...s***
  7. Here's an old Soxnet rumor about the "Howry for Gagne trade"... http://www.soxnet.net/gagne-rolenrumors.html
  8. Be aware we also, almost, traded for Gagne in 2002 for Bobby Howry. Then again, we were going to use him as a starter. Oh, remember he didn't become a closer until Jeff Shaw got hurt in LA. If Shaw didn't get hurt, Gagne would still be starting.
  9. I hear he won't sign unless we give him a cool, techno intro like Shingo!
  10. I like this Bill Maher routine...
  11. Why should I tell you? You said it was a choice... Ah forget it... We should band together and rejoice in Mariotti being off the air!
  12. So what you are saying is... Someone would choose to be attracted to men (or women) only. Choose to be persecuted. Choose to be ostracized from their family. Choose to be insulted, beaten and in some cases murdered. Choose to never be allowed to get married. Choose to be denied insurance for those they love. Choose to be denied children, work, and common rights? They would choose all this and more? Why?
  13. This has nothing to do with the "pussification of America" (BTW, if you're listening to Mike North, then that's a whole other issue) Archie Bunker, Sandford and Son..etc were shows based on satire. As were there characters. You are not. This is reality. When you say it in a derogatory manner, it is an offensive insult. Not Satire. I know Norman Lear and you, son, are not Norman Lear.
  14. This seemed appropiate... Lights on Broadway will be dimmed tonight.
  15. Damn sad...RIP Even though he put Baby in a corner...He will be missed. I loved him...A great actor!!
  16. Kenny: Hey Billy...um...what do want for Zito? Billy: Whatcha got? Kenny: How high??...oh you didn't ask me to jump...
  17. Lowe really showed me something during the Playoffs last year. If the bidding for Perez gets out of hand...then I think we should give Derek a shot. 3 year - 15.5?
  18. Just so I understand... I have read Thread after Thread about Kenny Williams not landing a good free agent, Jerry not stepping up and paying for a pitcher, and the Sox not opening up the checkbook for a guy we need. I have read members on this site yell and complain about this for years now. Now, when it seems like maybe Kenny and Jerry are doing what we want... People complain again. :headshake
  19. Yeah but who would click on a thread that said "Dust Devil attacks Soccer game." They'd think a Vaccuum cleaner got loose on a field. Then again, that would be cool. :rolly
  20. Thank God, they didn't use Scott Boras as their agent or we wouldn't have landed them... Great story, though. I'm still waiting for my response from the WNBA.
