In an era where pitchers are going to be asking for 8-9 mill a season who have posted worse career numbers than Mark (i.e. Ponson), I think we have made a good deal.
I know we had him through 2006, but then we would have to go to arbitation each year until then. By which time, if he kept posting good number he could be closing in on 9 million a year by 2006.
Now we have him through 2006 at 6 mil.
A good deal.
