  1. f*** THEM ALL, f*** THEM UP THEIR STUPID ASSES!!!
  2. Manuel studied with the most LAID-BACK guys in MLB...Leyland and Alou. Ozzie has made the rounds with LaRussa, McKeon, and Robinson. Men who have brought out the most in their players. Ozzie would still have one the best bench coaches in MLB, with Nossek. Time for me to break out my black 13 jersey...
  3. Everyone remember when Trader Ken made the Alomar and Everett deals, Hawk was on the Score and exclaimed that another trade was in the works that would "Knock our socks off"... Has anyone ever heard what that trade might have been? The Schilling rumor doesn't seem possible due to his love of JR.
  4. That would be Warren Newson ytou are reffering to... He was nicknamed Deacon I believe after his Father, who was a deacon of his church.
  5. Robin Yount? I like this idea!! Plus, I think Ozzie is here no matter what. If he isn't manager, he will be our new 3rd base coach.
  6. My favoritie Cub fan of the night was the one they interviews on Fox News after the game. He was braggin about ripping the sweater off the guys head so his face would plastered all over the media and people will "get him" He was so proud he gave his name. Later they reported he was arrested.
  7. It's funny for us, but these Cub fans are nuts. They want him dead. It proves more and more that they now nothing about the game if they blame this guy for the loss. I believe the fans who ran onto the field this year at the Cell are not indicitive of a true Sox fan, or for that matter the majority of Sox fans. But the people who are calling for this guy's head and blaming him for the loss, like a certain manager did at a post game press conference, ARE indicitive of the majority of Cub fans in this town.
  8. He said "Champs!, Champs!" I'm surprise Fox didn't have the cast from "The O.C." up there in ill-fitting Cub gear singing. Harry is rolling over in his grave.
  9. I thought they were Hawk and Drysdale?
  10. I have to disagree with your figures... Mark came up in 2000, half way through the season...going 4-1 Then in 2001 he won 16 games, 2002, 19 games and pitched a full year in 2003. He had ovewr two years of service coming into this year. He is going to arbitration this winter. But we do have him signed through 2006.
  11. Ozzie was always keeping the clubhouse loose. Thats why players love him. I remember everytime he's get on first and the 1st baseman ( no matter who it was) would play in front of him and not hold him on, Ozzie would start slapping his ass befor every pitch. I like the idea of Cito Gaston coming in to manage and Ozzie coming in to coach Third.
  12. Man, KW has learned a lot from Schu on how to keep it quiet. We need to generate some White Sox excitement in this town...soon.
  13. Great article by Mike Kiley. Good to see someone has the BALLS to say this!!! It's a dump...an historic dump, but a dump!!! Kiley says "TEAR IT DOWN!!!" :fthecubs
  14. Being at the 1983 clinching game in old Comiskey Park, at the 1993 clinching game at new comiskey park and the 2000 clinching game in Minnesota. I will keep my streak alive next year!! Who didn't feel up that girl in 1998?!? She was handing it out in the upper deck like Minnie signin' autographs.
  15. He could be looked at as a new hitting instructor in the minor league system. The source is rather vague.
  16. The major issue with Manuel wasn't his laid-back style. It was the motivation and focus the team took towards last place teams and rookie pitchers. Torre is laid back, but well-prepared and a good motivator.
  17. I'm not sure how much we want to look like the 90s Indians anymore than we already do... Welcome to the board!
  18. I'd launch Thomas and plug Everett back in. KW likes him...he's a Grinder
  19. Richest contract ever offered by the White Sox for a pitcher KW just announced that. Let's see if Colon accepts.
  20. "You want monogamy? Marry a swan." - Robert Loggia "Jagged Edge" Seriuosly though, I agree Steff. I have been married for 5 years and any man who cheats is weak and pathetic. Temptation is natural, you just don't act on it. It's common sense. But then again I just may be
  21. According to Barry Rozner, many in the Yanks organization feel Dent would be a perfect fit on the South Side. He also was the runner-up to Manuel in 1997, but he was a favorite of JR. Bucky started his career with the Sox, and his current pitching coach in AAA is Neil Allen. (Who is rumored to take over Mel Stottlemyre's job, unless he goes with Bucky) Any thoughts? Barry on Bucky
  22. Probably one. Paulie runs like he is carrying a piano.
