  1. Actually George was promoted to Asst. GM, then traded to KC.
  2. Sign me up and ship me off! Can I be the Activities Director? Shuffleboard for EVERYONE!!!!
  3. From ESPN.com In Chicago, a White Sox fan who works at the Pentagon and was at the building on Sept. 11, 2001, is going to bring a special flag to the ballpark for the game against Minnesota. That flag will be raised at the Pentagon in the morning, and the fan will then get on a plane and fly to Chicago
  4. You do need a ticket to the game, though.
  5. WGin83, I wasn't harping on you. I agree with you that JM has mismmanged this bullpen time and time again. I msunderstood yuor post, I thought you were asking for Gordon because Oakland used their closer in a blow-out game down the stretch. I jumped the gun.. Cheers!
  6. Sorry to disagree with you, but Foulke had not pitched in three games. Gordon and Marte ptiched every game over the weekend, and had a night off thanks to Colon. Another night off for them would have been beneficial. Gordon won't be available for tonight, but Marte will. Check your facts before you rip JM for not bringing in his two best relievers in a 6 run game.
  7. Ribbie... STOP FOLLOWING ME! I'm actually stalking Dave Wills, but you're always by him.
  8. Come on Steff... By the time you close the Bullpen Bar, wander over to Jimbo's, then stop at White Castle before hitting I-55...It's damn near 3:00am already!
  9. Great story on how we have one of the top hitting, pitching and fielding teams in the AL. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/new...t=.jsp&c_id=cha
  10. By the way, Jerry Manuel has said that if Jon Garland wins tonight he will start Neal Cotts against Minn tomorrow afternoon.
  11. Thats right Steff. We were in the upper deck in 2000. (I was even a season ticket holder) and we were not allowed to go down. It sucked for two seconds until I realised I was there to watch a playoff game and not buy hats. What pissed me off in 2000 was my buddy and I, who have our seats together, were forced to sit a row apart and on different ends. The Sox claimed they didn't have room to put us together for the playoff game. We sat around a big group of people who bought their tickets when they went on sale to the public and they got to sit together right by us.
  12. By the way, Camden Yards and Turner Field have even steeper upper decks than the Cell... So there
  13. Speaking as an Upper Deck Season Ticket Holder...I say YES! Plus on the subject of Plethora...
  14. Juggernaut wants to be the "Rosa Parks" of US Cellular Field. "I Refuse to sit in the Upper Deck!" Not to make light of Ms. Parks' great accomplishments, but Juggernaut is talking this a bit too far. Will there be another poll tomorrow? (Ribbie then lights a cigar with a hundred dollar bill and laughs from his air-conditoned, leather-covered, season ticket holder seat)
  15. Rosanne Telez referred to last nights "disappointing half-empty crowd at US Celluar Field" and that Sox PR people were trying to spin it positively.
  16. When was the expansion project that inceased seating there to 64,000?? There were 32,800+ there last night. Jeez, I knew the Tribune was biased, but this is a bit much.
  17. I can understand why someone would be upset, not being able to enjoy the fan deck or the excellent food items on the lower deck. But don't blame us season ticket holders, or give us the finger jerkoff. We keep this team afloat financially while fairweather fans like yourself, Juggernaut b**** and moan and exclaim we are losers. Then you claim to be a better fan. I have season tickets in the upperdeck, by the way. It's nice and quiet there. I enjoy it. I pretend like it's "Come Dressed Up as a Blue Seat Day" But then again, being a season ticket holder allows me access to the lower deck. Which I hardly do until it's time to head down to the Bullpen Bar
  18. I used to think Rob was an intelligent writer, but this... :puke Rob...Drunk and Stupid is not the way to go through life, son.
  19. The Cubs have 89 QS, and we have 86 (second in MLB) The twins only have 70... Looking good. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gammons/story?id=1610979
  20. Playing hooky from work in the afternoon so...I'm going too!! Hopefull we will bringing our brooms.
