  1. Now I have always wanted us to go after someone for the 5th spot. But after looking at our upcoming schedule and counting the days off I predict we'll on'y use that starter for 5 starts, maybe 6. Is that enough to send away more prospects for a Jeff Suppan? Now if it was Kelvim Escobar...maybe, because he could easily go into the bullpen for playoff time and be REALLY effective. But still...it is needed? Or is another hard-throwing set-up man needed to solidify that bullpen and make it 6 inning games.
  2. Here are the lines: Name Season Rd/Hm Last Start Last 3 App G GS W-L ERA AIP TM W-L ERA DATE OPP DEC IP H ER W-L IP ERA J. I better see some good bunting and situational hitting. God knows the Royals will be doing the same.
  3. What about a nice cookie? Everyone loves cookies!
  4. If we get Aaron Boone, then KW can trade Crede for Ponson. I'm not saying this is a good thing, but that might be KW's thinking.
  5. Only 30 games at SS Not exactly insurance.
  6. I think KW might be done looking for relievers. We did bring Matt Ginter up who was closing in AAA. He will take White's role as soon as we get a 5th starter and release White
  7. Well, JM sent Rick White out there to put his money where his BIG FAT mouth is... Ooops...Rick swallowed his foot.
  8. According to the guy on the $20 bill, the White Sox, Mariners and another team were trying hard to get Boone this morning. But the Reds owner said no...for now Is Kenny on some kind of sugar high?? He's going nuts!! Go Kenny, go!
  9. Gee, I wonder who said that? Hint: His name rhymes with Kenny Williams
  10. I'd go with Escobar too. When, (notice I didn't say if...) we get to the playoffs he will be incredibly effective as a set-up guy or closer. Maybe Toronto wants Billy back? PLEASE
  11. The White Sox rep has been poor defense. Manyexpert "analysts" have said this could lead to our downfall this season. The White Sox have had poor defenses in the past, but has anyone really checked into their stats this year? Baseball Prospectus.com has and deems us an "above-average defense" Actually we are 4th in the AL in Defensive Efficiency and 6th in MLB. Check us out... Hmmmm. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/current/...def_eff2003.htm
  12. Would that sound be: "crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrack!"
  13. "I told you I'd give my left nut to help the team,'' said Konerko, who managed a smile despite being sore. "That's luck. You're not expecting that for sure. The last thing you expect is to get hit right there. It's a freaky thing, but I'll take it.'' Good to see Paulie laughing and enjoying himself again.
  14. Frank is a lock to hit 500. I hope he does it in a White Sox uniform too. This day and age...one player, one team his whole career. It's a shocker.
  15. Thats right...Keep the eye on the prize!
  16. Hawk needs to get Aaron Rowand to do the Shaving...
  17. He is lazy Mother f***er! This team has stuck with pleny of guys going through slumps. There was a MAJOR reason he was let go... He is brain dead and lazy. He'll give you a sizzlin' first few weeks with the club, then when he is comfortable he will slack off. f*** him.
  18. The SCORE said today that Thomas's knee isn't 100% and that HE requeted to DH until it is 100%.
  19. Yeah, that sounds familiar... Wait until he feels like he doesn't have to prove himself... "What, run where? What ball?"
  20. I'm leaving to go the game...I'll try to bring home a winner. If not, I'll bring myself home BLASTED. Who am I kidding, I'll do that anyway.
  21. My vote is for Estaban... Hell, he might even pick up the Cy Young if we start scoring for him
  22. He was 27 and 7 minus 2 equals 5... Ok, I really don't know why. Maybe he likes math.
